The person who helps my mother with her change of laundry fortnightly is very kind and helpful. She comes on time and does all the things that have been agreed beforehand. We will use the same company if and when she needs more help.
Thank you for these kind words about our staff member that visits your mother on a regular basis. We will make sure this is shared with her to let her know your appreciation.
I am happy with my care with Candlelight Care.
Thank you for letting us know that you are happy with the care and support that you are in receipt of. It is always good to know when things are going well and equally when things go wrong.
My husband and I have received all the kindness and help we could ask for.
Thank you for your lovely compliment about your core team of staff. I have this morning shared this within your team as it is important for them to know how appreciative you are. Thank you.
Our regular carer is excellent but some of the other carers, and the staff who organise the weekly schedules, could benefit from more training in their understanding of people with Alzheimer's. Clients need to be contacted if their carer is going to be later than scheduled or if the carer has been changed. We have been contacted recently asking if we can "do without" our evening visit (and given various reasons that are not our problem) as they were having trouble covering the call. If my wife's condition was understood by the staff then they should have known that I would not be able to cope without either of our visits. Their biggest failing with us has been data protection, as we have had correspondences for another client with the same surname on more than one occasion, which leaves us believing our information has been compromised as well.
Thank you for your honest review, it is always good to hear the client or family's perspective of our services. We acknowledge that we don't always get it right for everyone. I have shared your review with the Registered Manager of the Branch for her to follow up on. Please accept our sincere apologies.
I have had Candlelight Care carers visit me for several years now and have been happy with the help they provide.
Thank you for your kind words, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave this review, especially from a long standing client of ours, makes it even more special.
I am very happy with the carer every week and have no complaints about anything.
Thank you for the kind words about the service we are providing.
I am happy with the care I receive on a weekly basis. I have had the care team for just over a year now. They are always friendly and helpful and reliable. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
Nice words about your care team, I have today shared them with them. Thank you.
Very happy - no problems so far.
We are pleased to hear that you are very happy with the service being provided. Thank you.
I am pleased with the care I receive.
We are so pleased to hear you are happy with your care, even more so when it comes direct from the client. Thank you.
My husband receives a regular visit each week from a Candlelight Care carer as part of the 'sitting service'. The company, care and interesting conversation are what he enjoys each week. As his carer at home, this enables me to book appointments ie dentist and also to catch up on shopping, or in normal times, a meeting with a friend. We both look forward to seeing the Candlelight Care team.
Thank you for these kind words about our staff. The sitting service is all about giving the main carer a well-earned break from their caring duties, which is so important to you both.
We are pleased with the care shown to my husband.
Thank you for your kind words about our staff that visit your husband and the service that we provide. I am glad everything is going well.
Not sure how to describe experiences, as unsure what purpose motivated it. It is pleasant to have a visitor each day who verifies that one is still standing.
Thank you for your compliment, we are pleased to hear the daily visits are working out for you.
I found the service to be first class, informative and knowledgeable. They were a great help in my transition from hospital to living at home on my own with "added medical equipment". They were friendly, polite, respectful and easy to contact should the need arise. Thank you all in helping on my road to recovery.
Thank you for the beautiful compliment about our Home First Reablement Team, so pleased to hear that they played a big part in your road to recovery. I have shared the compliment with the team.
All my carers have been very kind and helpful.
Thank you for your kind words about our staff who visit you, they are all amazing in our eyes too.
All the current carers are so friendly, very caring and professional and mum looks forward to her visits. Thank you Candlelight for giving mum such good care, we recommend you highly!

There is always someone there to listen.

Punctual, easy to talk to. Do everything required.
Thank you for commenting about our staff being punctual, this is something that we take pride on in ensuring that they are given the right amount of travelling time between visits.
All of the carers are very client focussed. They all speak to my father before starting to assist with his personal care and treat him with respect.
Thank you for the beautiful compliment about our staff, we are so proud of them, they play an amazing role within Candlelight Care.
I have reached my 89th year, am in poor health and have little mobility.
My care package keeps me going. I have nothing but high praise for the team's efforts.
Thank you for the high praise about your care team, it is always a pleasure to hear as they do the most fantastic work in keeping our clients safe and independent within their own homes.
The staff are bright and friendly and do their job with dedicated care and kindness. Their dedicated role has made it possible for me to look after my husband at home.
Thank you for leaving this beautiful review. In our eyes, it is of the utmost importance to keep families together and I am pleased to learn that our services have helped you in keeping you and your husband together. Long may it continue.

Sarah started her journey with Candlelight back in 2003. She began as a domiciliary carer and then transferred into the Live-in department, providing a service of 24-hour care and support.
