Caremark Redcar and Cleveland provides care and support services to people, adults and children, within their own homes and also in the community, and is rated as 'good' by its regulator, the Care Quality Commission.

These services can range from helping people to cook a meal or take a bath, through to assisting those with more complex care needs, such as people who have dementia, physical disabilities or mental health problems.

The company is the number one rated provider of care and support for Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council and and also has a number of privately funded clients.

Caremark Redcar and Cleveland also offers a live-in 24-hour care service. This enables people to have the support of their own professional live-in carer.

In addition to homecare services, the company also has an Assisted Animal Therapy service, using trained Pets As Therapy dogs to visit people's homes, schools, hospices and various community venues. Therapy dogs are proven to help reduce stress, anxiety, loneliness or depression, and can really make a a positive difference to people’s emotional and mental well-being, and very positive outcomes are being achieved by Caremark.

The company also has a thrice-weekly activity-led initiative called Safe Place which brings people at risk of social isolation/exclusion together for companionship and activity-based sessions, including games, crafting, cooking and more.

Caremark provides a very good standard of care for my dad. They are responsive to changes requested such as increases in care or cancelling visits and implement these quickly. I appreciate that carers have brought our family's attention to issues of concern for example the need to secure Dad's medication.
Office staff are always friendly when I call. When there has been very occasional confusion over visits Caremark have resolved these swiftly.

We are very impressed by the considerate, caring and excellent carers, who are always willing to help in any way. They arrive regularly and punctually, provide a weekly schedule of visits, and we cannot recommend Caremark too highly. Thank you.

The care we have received has been extremely professional. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our daughter is very happy with the care she receives. During this pandemic the staff have worked really hard and we are extremely grateful.

Caremark have provided care and support to a few members of our family over the years. If we have had any issues the office staff and management have worked hard to address our concerns and act accordingly. We appreciate that this is not always an easy task and requires give and take by both parties
and by working together we come up with good resolutions in the majority. We have some amazing carers that go above and beyond to make sure our loved ones feel settled. We hope they know how much we appreciate their help and support, particularly throughout the last year which has been hard for everyone.

My mam has been using Caremark since her hospital discharge last March 2020. She started initially with single carers and then doubles and all of the girls were and are amazing.
So caring and friendly. Mam now receives care from 5 regulars and the care is second to none. They go above and beyond with
their care, we are so thankful as a family to have Mam in such good hands.

I have been using Caremark for 3.5 years now as I have epilepsy and need support to make sure my little boy has a routine, I would highly recommend Caremark, they have always been understanding to my needs and accommodated me throughout, any problems that have arisen have been rectified when speaking

Caremark have been looking after my mother for more than 2 years. They consistently provide an excellent service. Their operation is professional and all the carers receive appropriate training. Any queries, however minor are dealt with promptly. I am so pleased I chose Caremark for this situation.
I live 125 miles away from Mum and it is very reassuring to know that I can rely on her care provider. Their professionalism was constant throughout the recent lockdowns when the carers worked in very difficult circumstances. I have no hesitation in recommending Caremark to anyone looking for care.

Due to Covid, I have not been able to see much of my Mum during the lockdowns as I live nearly 200 miles away. Caremark have been absolutely amazing. My Mum could not be in better hands. I have had to change her care routine a few times now and they always come up trumps. Nothing seems to be too much
trouble. I'm kept up to date and informed of any issues. Would highly recommend.

Caremark were the suggested provider for care for our needs, with my grandad having dementia. Right from the start, they have been a great company, the staff that care for him are great, and we have a consistent routine with regular care staff who are great with him, making sure his needs are met and
always happy to help the family out as well. The office staff are great, approachable and any issues they’re more than happy to help and always try and accommodate our needs. Two members of staff, in particular, have always helped me with our staffing and Rotas and some of the care staff, in particular, are fab. 100% recommend, and happy we choose Caremark. Thanks, guys.

Caremark looked after our mother for 4 years until she eventually had to move to a care home. Throughout that time the carers were excellent both in the quality of their care and in the personal relationship they developed with our mother. On several occasions when our mother had health issues, they
stayed with her until professional help arrived long after their shift ended and provided care and reassurance throughout. The staff in the admin office were also very helpful whenever we needed to make changes to her care schedule and the managers regularly reviewed her situation to check that the care support was appropriate. I am very happy to recommend Caremark to anyone needing support in caring for vulnerable relatives.

I would just like to comment on how adaptable the service has been over the lockdown period. A staff member at Guisborough has been wonderful, listening to our needs and always trying her very best to fulfil our requests. Obviously there was greater anxiety over lockdown period so we wanted the same
carer and over time gradually increased her hours. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble. We are very grateful - thank you.

Lovely friendly carers, that go the extra mile. My Uncle's health has deteriorated recently and they have been very responsive to messages and queries. I would highly recommend, they give us peace of mind when we're not around.

I have only recently arranged for my sister to be visited by carers from Caremark (Redcar & Cleveland). Prior to this arrangement, I did not have a high opinion of carers in general. My experience with Caremark (Redcar & Cleveland) has changed my view and I could not be more happy with the service
which, a range of carers, have given my sister. At the present time, they visit twice a day to administer medication to my sister and I have met a number of them. Without exception, I have found them to be caring and kind towards my sister and more than willing to go that extra mile on her behalf. I have very recently made arrangements to extend the care given to the lunchtime period on Saturdays and Sundays when they will prepare a ready meal for her. Should I find that she requires further assistance I would not hesitate to call the manager of Caremark and make the necessary arrangements.

My mother has a sitting service from Caremark, our hours have increased but we don't need them yet with the pandemic. My husband and self have gone out together (he is classed as disabled). We have attended bank appointments, hospital appointments, doctors and many others including a family funeral.
We feel my mother is in good care and most of all safe. The service is excellent, my mother is 95 and because we haven't seen our sitting service sitter she has wondered how she is and talked of things they talked about.

Just to say a few words about the care, help and the support that my mother needs, and in turn the help and support that I get from Caremark too. I have been using Caremark for a number of years now, they give my mother so much help in doing the things that keep her independent. She still lives in her
own apartment and enjoys her freedom, at 89 she is no longer able to do the things she used to do, but with Caremark's' help, she still lives a very happy lifestyle. Over the years I have met a lot of the girls and they are all lovely and bubbly and can not do enough to help, and when things go wrong as they can when supporting an elderly lady, Caremark steps up to the mark and fits in with any changes etc, but the main thing is, my mam loves their visits, and even with dementia approaching she always remembers the girls, and what they do for her. I hope this review is helpful.

I would like to be informed if my carer is changed from the rota.
I need to have regular carers to care for my stoma. It is personal care and I need to feel comfortable with my carers and I feel that if I get my regular carers then I don't feel embarrassed.

There are some excellent carers who know their jobs and can cope with all the problems they meet. They do get fed up with the way they have to swap and change the destination. The office staff is not very good and needs to be more efficient, thus saving time and money and making a more successful service
and happier staff.
