I joined Sonder originally as a carer visiting our wonderful clients in their homes. From the very beginning, I discovered just how much I loved the role—getting to know each client, building relationships, and making a meaningful difference in their daily lives.
I was then given the opportunity to support our office team, where I now help coordinate staff rotas, manage calls, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. I still enjoy going out to visit clients from time to time, which helps me stay connected to the heart of what we do. I also support our on-call service during evenings and weekends to make sure our clients and carers are always supported.
My role involves training and coaching new starters, as well as supporting and mentoring our current care staff by conducting spot checks and regular supervisions.
I joined during the Covid-19 pandemic as I wanted to do something to help, initially on a part-time basis. I enjoy every minute of working with clients.
