The company is approachable, willing to listen. Carers work with respect and care at all times. Supportive and aware of family. Suggestion - training or further care required for clients at end stages of life or palliative care feeding.

Overall the quality of care is good. Staff are reliable at turning up and are punctual. The sitting service is fairly easy for them but they take time to talk. make my father tea, wash up or take him out when weather permits.

Generally a good experience but sometimes time-keeping is a problem.
Also, we would welcome more consistency in using the same carer(s) who are used to caring for my mother.

On behalf of my mum - who is a service user (cleaning help, once weekly). Caring management team; helpful and try to address issues and to resolve.

We have had approximately four different caregivers since starting and would very much like to have one regular carer (where possible). The care giver

that came 28th August was excellent.

Thank you for your feedback. We will re-look at our CAREGiver's schedules that visit your mum and look to provide continuity with one CAREGiver.

Service is overall good. At times, however, on the occasion that I do visit, I do see my mother's clothes cupboard unkempt. The bathroom I feel can be cleaned to a better standard as sometimes the sink or toilet aren't always cleaned properly. The carers are overall polite and do usually carry out work
efficiently.
Reply from Tony Hussain, Managing Director at Home Instead (Ealing & Hounslow)
Thank you for the review. We will speak to the team of caregivers who visit your mother and provide further training and ask them to read the support plan again so all expectations are met.

As an independent women living alone, the initial step to accept help was difficult. I soon realised that there were some tasks I was not able to complete on my own. As I do not get out much and needed assistance with my weekly shopping I contact HISC. It is great to go out with the carers to the supermarket
and be able to do my own shopping while they push me in my wheelchair. What could have been a difficult task has now been made easier. It’s great to know that care can go beyond domiciliary and can be implemented into companionship and assistance with daily or weekly tasks.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.729 for Home Instead (Ealing & Hounslow) is calculated as follows: ( (37 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.729
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Home Instead (Ealing & Hounslow) is based on 8 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.8
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
