Overall the staff are supportive, caring and treat me with kindness and respect. However due to time constraints and/or lack of training, there have been three occasions when the contents of the commode have been accidentally spilt onto the carpet. I understand the carers often work under pressure, but these incidents have caused stress for me and my daughter and have been difficult to clean up. We appreciate accidents can happen however further training for staff, particularly re cleaning procedures, would be beneficial.

Reply from Demi Hart, Marketing & Quality Compliance Coordinator at Primary Homecare Ltd

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you have found our staff supportive, caring, and respectful in the care they provide.

We were sorry to learn about the incidents involving the commode and understand the stress and inconvenience this caused for...

My review is based on 11th May, in which the carer was extremely helpful. It wasn't a good day for me as it was my wedding anniversary for 35 years, in which it was hard for me as Nigel isn't here now. We got the bus into town, we went into some shops, then we got to the house and had some time left so we dropped the shopping off at the house and we went to the local shop. Then we came back to the house and played a board game. The carer helped me put the items back into my room, I also bought a rose plant for my husband.

Reply from Julie Mills, Operations Manager at Primary Homecare Ltd

I am so pleased that our carer was able to support you on a particularly difficult day. What a lovely sentiment to buy a rose plant for your husband.

Most of the carers have been able to carry out all the tasks I have specified. I do not require personal care. A carer comes for one hour every every Friday. I have been using Primary Homecare since December 2022.

Overall I am very pleased with the care that I get. All very good and cheer me up = but sometime they do not stay for the full 30 minutes that I am paying for!

Reply from Julie Mills, Operations Manager at Primary Homecare Ltd

Thank you for your feedback which we always take onboard. I have checked back over the rotas and some carers only stay 25 minutes and some go over time to 35 minutes. I will send a message to say you want them to stay the full 30 minutes. We are happy that you are overall pleased with our service and that the carers cheer you up.

Your team of carers who knew mum provided a fitting tribute by attending my Mothers Celebration of her Life. We appreciated them taking time out to attend in their busy day.
We have since received so much wonderful feedback from those who attended, with many sharing how much they truly enjoyed the event. It means so much to us to hear that, and we are incredibly grateful in helping us honour Mum in such a special way.

As a client I wish to send a BIG thanks to everyone at Primary Homecare for the support I have received since the passing of mum.

Reply from Julie Mills, Operations Manager at Primary Homecare Ltd

My brother has problems that Primary Homecare staff ahve been very good at dealing with, also by keeping me informed of. He thinks very highly of the carers. They also play cards with him which he enjoys, as my brother lives alone.

As a I am paralysed from the waist down and have to be lifted at least 4 times a day some lifts requiring two different slings I am made to feel comfortable and safe.
The carers always take great care in providing privacy and maintaining my dignity at all times.
The carers are always very polite and professional and take an interest in the rest of the family. They always acknowledge my wife
and you get the feeling that they are interested in our life's as much as we are there's. We have great conversations about there life's as much as ours.

We have had great support from the management team and we are both interested in maintaining their safety as much as mine during lifting and my needs

Half an hour is a bit tight sometimes.

Reply from Julie Mills, Operations Manager at Primary Homecare Ltd

I am happy that you are satisfied with our staff and have given them the top score. I note you have given management only one star but I need you to know it's not our decision to only allocate 30 minutes. Social Services fund the care and time is allocated by them. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this further.
