The care plan has been reviewed two or three times in the year. Calls generally on time according to visit schedule, which issued for each week. Work is done expeditiously in co-operation with me including walks and shopping. Very valuable in driving me for clinical and hospital appointments.

Gold Hill Care has provided care for my wide in the mornings for the last few years. The send us a rota each week giving us the names and times of each person every day. The timekeeping is excellent, and the staff are very professional and caring. If asked, I would be extremely happy to recommend this
care provided to friends.

For the last four months, Gold Hill Homecare have visited us daily to help me care for my husband. All their workers are kind, considerate and punctual. They all do a good job thanks to the excellent training they receive from the manager whose compassion and organizational skills are first-class.

My mum has been supported at home by the amazing team of Gold Hill carers for almost 2 years. The care they take with Mum is absolutely amazing and Mum loves them so much, she actually sees them as friends and looks forward to their visit 3 times a day. As a family, we knew how lucky we were to have
this support, however, in October my dad had to go into hospital for hip replacement surgery after being knocked over and the Gold Hill team went above and beyond any of our expectations. They helped us manage a crisis by immediately increasing the daycare, providing overnight care for Mum and a live-in carer when Dad was discharged who, within a few weeks, had Dad washing, dressing and cooking independently. Nothing is ever too much trouble and their objective is to simply care for their clients, no matter what it takes. The other day, I went to my parents to put their bins out, to find the lunchtime carer was already doing it. They are incredibly caring, kind, supportive and professional.

Rock House staff have been very caring and professional. My mother has settled in brilliantly. I did not think that she would settle so quickly but the staff have made her feel that she belongs there and she is happy.

It was a pleasure to support mum within her own home for so many years and then to see her settle in our connecting care home.

My wife has severe Alzheimer's dementia and needs two people to get her up and out of bed, wash and shower her, see to her toileting needs and put her to bed in the evening. The team are reliable, competent and very friendly, talking to my wife even though the responses are sometimes bizarre! Very supportive.

Inspection ratings
We rate most services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are, using four levels:
Outstanding - the service is performing exceptionally well.
Good - the service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
Requires improvement - the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Inadequate - the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
No rating/under appeal/rating suspended - there are some services which we can't rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon.
Ticks and crosses
We don't rate every type of service. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
There's no need for the service to take further action. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service.
The service must make improvements.
At least one standard in this area was not being met when we inspected the service and we have taken enforcement action.
