Mum moved to the Belong at Home Village in October 2022, after living abroad for 30 years. The Belong at Home Team has been amazing, every step of the way, and although it has taken time, with their help and support she is settling well into her new home.
Although Mum has a mixed dementia diagnosis, the team visit her twice a day, which means that she is still fairly independent. Mum really looks forward to the visits and as well as domestic and personal hygiene help, and meal preparation she also gets lots of social benefits especially in the evenings when she feels lonely. The girls are kind and very caring, nothing is too much trouble for them. They are always available to discuss our concerns with Mum's condition/situation.
For us the secure online portal is the icing on the cake - we get twice-daily updates on how Mum is doing, which is great, especially if they have noticed she needs something or they have concerns.

I would 100% recommend the Belong at Home team, they really are invaluable to us.

Care has been provided to my dad on an ad-hoc basis when we have been away. The team have worked with me to best meet Dad's needs and always found a solution to keep my dad safe, which included oversight of medication.
Even when circumstances changed at extremely short notice, the team were very flexible and added to the daily visits to check on my dad.
All the staff were very caring and treated my dad with dignity and respect.

I would definitely recommend their services.

Belong at Home provided an excellent service to our dad. They never let us down, we always knew who was coming to support dad and when. Dad used to say if he was feeling down their visits used to cheer him up. We would like to thank each and every one of the team who supported dad for being so kind and caring, you are all angels in disguise. We can’t thank you enough for the support you gave to dad and us. All the staff from Belong at Home Wigan are absolutely brilliant! I don't know what Mum would do without their visits. Mum enjoys them coming and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff from the carers who actually attend to the office staff are first class and very professional. My brother and I have peace of mind knowing that Mum is being looked after. Our Mum is a very sociable person who has many friends but due to Coronavirus had been unable to go out so these visits have been a lifeline and having contact with someone has helped her mental health immensely. She loves telling them tales of her life and showing them photographs which they always show an interest in and it makes her day. We would have no hesitation in recommending Belong at Home, Wigan.

I have been so pleased with the excellent care my mum has received from the carers at Belong. They are fantastic! Nothing is too much trouble. Mum has related really well to them, they are so kind and caring. I am really sorry to have to end with them, but we now feel it necessary to place mum in a care home for 24-hour care.

Belong at Home have looked after both my parents over the last seven years until they passed away. They have done so with so much care and compassion, and always with Mum and Dads dignity at the forefront of everything they do. Over the years, they have enabled us as a family to spend the time we had together as quality time. Thank you.

My mother has been supported by Belong at Home Wigan since June 2020 and we would like to acknowledge the high level of care she receives. Staff are skilled, personable, reliable and nothing is too much trouble. We have been consistently impressed with their professionalism and the calm, thoughtful ways they deal with Mum, giving her a very positive start to the day. The management and communication systems in place are efficient and give you confidence. Someone is always at the end of the phone, which is very reassuring. I was introduced to Belong at Wigan by Mum's long term carer who fell ill with Covid symptoms and had to self isolate. Belong very quickly carried out an assessment, and set up a care regime for Mum. Mum has dementia and nothing is straightforward regarding a system of care. However, their trained staff gained Mum's trust and my confidence, and have supported us really well throughout the last 4 months. It has been a very difficult time with Covid-19 preventing the family from seeing Mum, travel restrictions, contact etc. But Belong has been extremely flexible and have even set up the additional cover at short notice. I am very impressed with their structure and training, their operating systems, close management supervision and attention to needs of clients. I would not hesitate in recommending them to others.

I am extremely happy with the care provided to my mum since we started receiving visits in August 2020. The whole team have provided the best care tailored to mum's requirements and communication between them and myself is excellent. I get great peace of mind knowing that they are looking after mum just like I do and that mum loves to see every one of the carers.
