Totally happy, very efficient.
We're thrilled that you are totally happy! Many thanks.
Since we have been taken under the care of Home Instead life has improved. Our allocated carer is always on time and the 2 hours, twice a week, she spends with my husband have allowed me respite from caring. She gets along so well with the problems what gives me peace of mind when they are out and about together. The service is of great value to me and our carer, with her happy personality, has given us a great deal of pleasure these past 3 months.
I have been very pleased with the service received from Home Instead. My mother speaks very highly of her carer who has been coming to visit her 3 times a week for approximately 2 months now. I am reassured that my mother is happy with the care she receives and enjoys the company. It means peace of mind for me and my family. The agency have been extremely professional and helpful throughout.
Very satisfied with service.
I am more than satisfied with my carers, who are two regulars.
No problems. All ok.
The only recent issue has been a badly handled change of carer. The new carer was not properly trained, did not get to know Mum and was sent to Mum on her own too quickly - literally blind leading the blind!
Back office support and regular reviews much appreciated. Great to meet the owner of the business.
I was delighted that we resolved the issue you raised about the one CAREGiver within 24 hours to your complete satisfaction and it was a real pleasure meeting you and your mother recently. Thanks very much for your feedback, we use it to continuously improve.
Best care provider compared to others.
I have only been with the company for a few weeks but I have been very pleased with the general standard of care and attitude of all the staff I have seen.
I use Home Instead mainly at weekends, mornings and evenings when my other carers are away. I also ask for help in the mornings during the week and sometimes extra help some mid-week evenings.
Everyone is kind and reliable, extremely caring and cheerful. I am aware that this is very expensive and don't think I could pay more.
Carers visit Mum at lunchtime to assist with preparing a meal. They also help Mum to shower and do any housework or shopping. Also very valuable is the company they provide. Without these visits, Mum could not continue to live in her own home.
Exceptional.
Our mother currently has visits from 2 carers 4 times a day. All carers treat mum with dignity and kindness, but more than that they have come to know her sense of humour and frequently get her laughing. She has said that she regards her carers as her friends. On a recent occasion, mum was more confused and distressed than usual and her carers went above and beyond to reassure her, keep her calm and settle her. Mum's carers are always alert to small changes and act appropriately to ensure her needs are met, whether practical or emotional needs. Mum requires a lot of personal care and this is handled sensitively. We have found on more than one occasion carers have given up their own time to assist mum. In addition to the wonderful care that they give to mum, carers have dealt with some practical crises extremely well, including the loo flooding! We feel that we have a very good relationship with the management. All emails are dealt with promptly and any comments attended to effectively.
Well organised from the start. Will come out to you at home or in hospital to discuss your needs. Caregivers are all very kind, patient, reliable and trustworthy. Available for home help during the day, extra help when returning home from hospital/respite home, or night-sitting for assistance and care needs at night. Without Home Instead my mother would not be able to continue to live in her own home. Our experience of Home Instead has been and continues to be a very positive one.
Flexible, responsive and professionally run service. My mother has been able to build up a relationship with the same staff over time and this consistency has been really helpful in supporting her needs. All staff are friendly and caring and their support has helped my mother to maintain a good level of independence, despite significant health challenges.
I have made a point of getting to know the carers looking after mum as I was so anxious about engaging a care agency. I need not have worried: they are extremely kind, caring, hardworking and yet unhurried and considerate towards mum.
I have been very pleased with the care provided by HomeInstead. Management and office support staff are always helpful with phone queries. The Carers are wonderful that I have come across and have done amazing work with my mother who has Dementia they have been very patient and have worked hard to reach the goals that we set for the care needed. The Carer log is always filled in and provides useful feedback. It has always been very easy to arrange a chat with the Care Manager to keep up to date with how we both feel things are going and generally, emails are promptly replied to. I would and have recommended HomeInstead to others looking for care at home.
An important factor in meeting my father's care needs is to ensure he has carers who are able to interact with him and recognise his requirements and limitations. We regard this aspect as a particular strength of Home Instead as all his regular carers have struck up a warm, and yet professional, relationship with him.
Above all else, my father wishes to remain at home and Home Instead enables him to do so.
Home Instead provided excellent initial advice on the types of support available for my Mother so she could stay in her own flat as she declined physically and mentally. The service provided was very well organised and reliable. The main carer has been excellent, particularly as the client was initially resistant and not sure why she needed anyone to support her. Substitute carers for periods of illness and holiday were variable, sometimes less experienced.
As Mother developed Alzheimers and dementia, Home Instead provided very helpful guidance on her changing support needs and when we needed to look for residential care. The main carer continues to take Mum out of her home when family members are not available.
Overall, Home Instead have provided a very good, professional service that has supported Mum, ensured her safety and enhanced the quality of these difficult years, while also giving reassurance to us, her close family members. Thank you.
Initially, caregivers helped maintain mum's quality of life by taking her for her daily walk which is very important to her - to have done so alone would have been unsafe due to her increasingly poor balance and potential to fall. A daily social chat is also important to mum's well-being and caregivers certainly appear to possess all the qualities needed - impressive as mum is sometimes not the easiest of characters!
As time passed by, additional help was needed regarding management of fridge freezer, meal preparation, clothes selection/dressing, medication, showering. Caregivers have provided the correct level of support necessary, displaying patience and tact, maintaining dignity and even having a laugh too.
Confidence and trust developed between not only mum and caregivers but myself and caregivers too - to a level where they are trusted to identify changes in mum's health and take her to her doctor's surgery when thought necessary.
The family are most grateful for the service provided.
