The service is friendly, efficient, understanding and very flexible and the carer provided is a godsend. We can’t imagine how we managed without him before. All communication is clear and friendly and all in all, we are both very content with the service provided. I have a sense of trust for the agency and the carer.
As full-time carer for my mother who had Alzheimer's and mobility problems, the help I received from Home Instead enabled me to cope with the stress involved. Home Instead provided a team of caregivers who were very well trained and provided continuity of care. When I left Mum in their care, I did so knowing that she would be treated with kindness and respect and would receive excellent care. I felt that the caregivers genuinely cared for Mum and me and that looking after Mum was more than just a job for them. During the last few months of her life, Mum needed a high level of care which was consistently provided by Home Instead caregivers. Thanks to them I was able to continue caring for Muma t home which was what I wanted and I will always be grateful to them for that. Indeed, when Mum died three months ago the care team came to the funeral as did the owner and deputy line manager. I was also very impressed by the owner who provided a high-quality service and cared about his staff and clients. For him, this is much more than a business.
We have been using Home Instead Senior Care for a couple of years. My husband has had a couple of strokes which have left him with some speech problems and unable to use a phone. Home Instead Senior Care have teamed him up with a like-minded personality on a "buddy" system. Our carer is kind, polite, respectful and totally laid back which matches my husband perfectly. His carer has had the relevant training to meet my husband's needs. I have no hesitation leaving the carer with my husband. This has made my life a little easier. The office are always very helpful especially if I need to change our hours, they have also arranged a backup helper if our usual one is not available if I need to change our timetable. I would have no problem recommending Home Instead Senior Care they are certainly a life changer.
My mother received fantastic care with your service. The care workers were warm, friendly and courteous. She looked forward to their visits and was always treated with dignity and respect. It brightened my father's day when they arrived each morning and evening. He loved chatting with them and he knew he could trust my mum to them. Thank you for making her life so pleasant.
Last January I had a major operation to my spine which has left me with considerably impaired mobility. I am recovering slowly but need help with every day things, particularly personal care and I am also grateful to be taken shopping and to appointments. Home Instead has been excellent, the Caregivers they supply are always kind, helpful, patient people, mature, good company and with a blessed sense of humour. They normally send me someone I know and at the time I expect them. I feel very fortunate to have their service.
I want to express my thanks for the support and care given by your staff during the time in which Homeinstead (over 2 years) have been supporting my Mum. All the caregivers have provided an excellent service and their support has enabled my Mum to live independently for a lot longer than would have been the case. The team in the office have always been prompt, helpful and amplify a strong sense of a "can do" attitude, which has been a great reassurance to the family.
Good care, timekeeping very good. Often gave helpful advice. Would sometimes help by buying milk or bread. Reliable. Always very pleasant and cheerful.
As a local provider of home based care, my brother was so grateful for the service provided which enabled him to carry on working for longer. The package was carefully tailored to the needs of a multiple sclerosis suffer and the experience was positive primarily due to the caring, helpful and polite nature of the team of staff involved. All requests and needs were handled in an attentive and enthusiastic way and it was clear that high standards of training to ensure the patients well being and comfort had been given in what is often a difficult and stressful environment for all concerned. My brother's independence within his home was retained and for that he is truly grateful. It is only due to hospital treatment that the care package stopped and if a return home is possible it is likely that my brother would seek to renew the provision.
