We are very happy with the lovely carers who come to visit Mum and the care she receives.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It's great to hear that you are very happy with the support we are providing to your Mum.
The service is very good and everything works well and according to plan. Your system is impressive and I am confident that if problems should ever arise, they will be dealt with quickly.
Thanks for your great review. It's great to hear that the investment in the systems we use is having a positive impact.
Invaluable help. My mother suddenly started needing help and care 18 months ago. We chose Home Instead Harrogate due to a recommendation and the efficiency with which they looked after us when my mum's situation required care with very little notice. Her needs have changed over time both in quantity and style of care needed. Again, with the required notice, this has always been efficiently accommodated. She's quite particular my mum! However, from the very beginning, those managing her visits have read her very well and so the ladies who care for her have been just her cup of tea, and on the odd occasion when no change has been made quickly and with total understanding. The ladies take care of her social and care needs as you would hope and the office reacts to any questions we may have and feedback with no problem. My mum has dementia so being able to read the daily reports made by whoever has visited that day is excellent as I then get a clearer idea of how she is. Thank you very much to everyone involved.
Thank you for your positive review. It's great to hear that we have been able to respond to your mum's changing needs over time and that we have managed to get the matching right between our care professionals and your mum.
All the Home Instead carers that cared for my dad enabled him to stay in his own home until the age of 95. As well as giving him excellent care and support they become friends that he looked forward to seeing daily. The office staff always dealt with any queries promptly and keep me informed of any changes.
Thank you so much for leaving your review. It's great to receive great feedback and I will ensure to share with the Care Professionals who supported your Father and also the Office Team.
The ladies who visited were always friendly, cheerful, chatty and helpful. They went out of their way to be helpful and proactive going beyond duty to help us. One example, our cat was poorly and one carer saw what was wrong and dealt with it taking a weight off our minds, bringing treats each time she visited him making a friend for life. We will miss the girls. We only ceased service as palliative care taking over.
Thank you for your excellent feedback and for taking the time to do so. Our staff are well motivated and rewarded as well as receiving industry leading pay, benefits, support and training that goes against the norm in the care sector. This clearly shines through in the service that they deliver and...
I found their care professional and excellent.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. It's great to hear that we've done such a great job!
Excellent care and prompt service.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It's great to hear such positive feedback!
Excellent care from wonderful caregivers for a long period of time under changing circumstances.
Thank you very much for your amazing review and positive feedback. Your comments and ratings are very important to us and the Team, and I look forward to sharing it with the specific CAREGivers you refer to.
The care received from Home Instead caregivers was excellent. Each person that we met was cheerful, confident and supportive and a pleasure to welcome into the home. They are all special people who make a difference when support is really needed.
Thank you for your excellent review. We totally agree that our CAREGivers are special people who repeatedly amaze us with their dedication and kindness to the people they support.
The caregivers showed compassion throughout their time looking after mum. It was my dad's wish to keep mum at home and with the support from Home Instead you made this possible. Mum died at home with dad next to her. I cannot thank you enough for enabling this to happen. The caregivers treated mum with respect and dignity and I had no concerns at all about the quality of care. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review. The team are so pleased that they were able to help Mum stay at home with Dad during her last days. Thank you for your kind comments.
I find the carers to be very professional, helpful and caring. The office staff are always ready to help and make any timetable changes to cater to our needs, even at very short notice. During covid lockdown, the carers provided a lifeline delivering food and medicines, keeping my partner and myself safe. I cannot thank them enough for the personal care that they provide. Overall an excellent performance.
Thank you for your kind review. It's great to hear that we have been of such positive help during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Home Instead Harrogate's service goes way beyond purely practical needs. Management strategies appear well thought out, and for the most part, highly client-focused - adaptation during the Covid-19 crisis has raised my impressions yet further. Individual caregivers are truly exemplary, gold-standard - kind, patient and thoughtful, providing proactive care at a level one might otherwise expect only from family members. The service benefits not only my mother but the whole family who can be confident that she is receiving the best of care from the best of people.
Thank you for your review and it is great to know we are providing much needed support and help during these difficult times.
Highly satisfied with both services and care providers. Changed evening call to 6pm due to wife's worsening dementia.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. I am so pleased we were able to respond to your wife's changing needs due to her worsening dementia.
All the carers you have given me have been excellent - good company and helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to write your review. It's great to hear that our team are helpful and good company. I will ensure that this is passed on.
The care given was of a good standard and the carers were punctual and efficient. They respected my mother's wishes and encouraged her to meet her nutritional needs.
Thank you for your review. It's great to hear that the care your mother received was of a good standard, punctual and efficient.
The quality of the caregivers was very good and my Aunt liked their company. But the organisation from the office side was not good. Information about changes in my Aunt's circumstances was not acted on in a timely manner and I ended up feeling very let down by them.
Thank you for your feedback. It's good to hear that you were happy with the quality of care provided to your Aunt. We are sorry that your experience with the office didn’t quite match your expectations. We are known for having high standards and caring deeply about our customers. We can’t fix the...
All the staff were friendly, kind, reliable, helpful and patient with my husband.
Nothing was too much trouble.
In mum's last couple of weeks, she was quite ill and was treated with dignity and respect.
Very pleased with overall support and care. Understandably the times were out of kilter ie., would have liked 7.30 - 9.30 am but as this is the busiest spot it was not available at such a short length (10 days). We were very pleased with all the carers who showed my mother respect and kindness.
Transport and reliable service allowed my 94 year old mother to live independently for longer than anticipated. Caregivers well matched. Admin and back office services rather let the agency down but overall good and would definitely use again.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback about the service that we provide to your mother. I am pleased to see that our CAREGivers have been well matched and reliable and that this has enabled your mother to remain living independently at home. I have also noted your comments regards...

Sheena was Head of Facilities Management for a large global training organisation for over 10 years prior to taking a short career break to have a family. Like many of her generation, she faced the dilemma of looking after her own children whilst coping with the increasing demands of supporting her parents as they grew older.
Sheena's mother lived with Alzheimer's Disease and required daily support from a team of carers. This experience was the driving force behind her decision to open a Home Instead office of her own.
Sheena enjoys supporting her local community, including the voluntary sector, by offering free workshops in such areas as understanding dementia or scam awareness. As well as being a business owner, Sheena also holds a number of voluntary trustee positions she has maintained with local community groups and charities.
Before opening the Home Instead office for Harrogate, Ripon & Thirsk, Andrew worked as a Senior Manager for a large FTSE top-10 company, gaining extensive experience in all aspects of customer and service delivery to an exceptional high standard.
Andrew was attracted to the ethos of Home Instead after seeing how Home Instead can make a real difference to people living in their own homes, as well as providing employment opportunities in the community.
