The main focus of Home Instead Altrincham, Sale and Wythenshawe is to provide care that is tailor-made to the individual, realising that continuity of care is essential for the family and the individual themselves, as many families say it is their number one consideration by far.

At Home Instead you will be supported by a local team that is dedicated to delivering outstanding tailored care. They are able to support people at whatever stage of their care journey and with specialist knowledge and experience in health conditions such as Dementia, Stroke, Cancer, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Mental Health and Palliative care.

They also work closely with other specialists such as NHS community specialists, GPs pharmacists charities, faith organisations and many other local organisations. The aim is to provide as much independence as possible, where Care Professionals form strong trusted relationships and provide high quality companionship.

All Care Professionals are employed, DBS and reference checked and trained in-house, who are then comprehensively supported by the office care team. Home Instead's local approach enables people to stay safe and live well in their own home, being flexible and reactive where needed.

Home Instead provides Traditional Home Care services from 1 hour to 24 hours per day, enabling them to support you at whatever stage of your care at home journey.

I am very satisfied with the care given.
Very occasionally there has been a muddle with the arrangements.
I need care 2-3 times a week, 1 for shopping, 2 for ironing, 3 for some more varied cooking.
The other carers are all kind, well-being and very helpful.

Home Instead have attended for three months. The girls that come have been lovely, warm and cheerful which as my father has dementia (vascular), it is just what he needs. He also goes out for walks with the carers which he loves. They are also very helpful in doing jobs around the house, dusting cleaning,
changing my father's bed and cleaning the fridge, which as I work 30 hours a week, is so helpful.

After a spell in the hospital where my mother was recovering from a hip replacement, it became apparent that she would need some care at home. I work, so I needed to find help from a professional support. I have found Home Instead to have the professionalism and caring attitude that I needed. The support
that I needed with my mother and the emotional support they have given me, has been outstanding. As I am fully aware my mother's health will deteriorate, I have the knowledge I will be able to call on the teams help and support through the next few years and that gives me great peace of mind.

We have relied on Home Instead since August 2016 to help my mother live independently. We cannot praise the quality of the care and the underlying organisation highly enough. My mother had a stable and highly competent team of carers who treated her with unfailing kindness and compassion and were
always mindful of maintaining her dignity and safety.
Without exception, the carers were committed to her welfare and on several occasions stayed with my mother beyond their call limit when they were concerned for her health until a family member could take over. When my mother developed an infection, it was the HI carer who spotted the change in her condition and her prompt intervention ensured that my mother received timely treatment in hospital. The carers kept meticulous records and communicated ongoing tasks and concerns very effectively.
The area team leader was fantastic; she reacted swiftly to ensure that Mum's increasing needs were met and monitored provision closely.

Having used several different care agencies, I feel able to say that Home Instead Senior Care are by far the best and most reliable.
I have a lot of medical issues and consequently have a lot of hospital/doctor appointment. There are always in the morning so my husband can take me as I am wheelchair
bound and my husband works in the afternoon/evening.
Home Instead Senior Care always arrives at the arranged time and my regular carers have become my friends.

I am very pleased with the service I receive. I have the same three carers who deliver my care each week. It is really important to me to have the same carers who know me. All of the carers are nice and pleasant and always carry out their role with a smile. They always ask me what I would like and nothing
is too much trouble for them. Each of the carers who support me are an asset to the company.

This review covers 1 and a half years since I first experienced carers up to the present. All the carers have been very good. Honestly, I could not manage without them. All are extremely helpful and compassionate. They are good timekeepers and exude a wonderful sense of humour. God bless them all.

I met Home Instead Senior Care when a colleague had a serious accident and we wondered whether he would be able to come home to us after his hospital treatment. With help from Home Instead Senior Care, he is still thriving here. They offer a wide range of practical help, as and when required. In our
community of men (only one of us is under eight years old), many others have benefitted from their services since then. Early this year I was seriously handicapped by a leg injury and a chest infection. With their help, I have been brought back to independent living. I have found them all competent and pleasant company.

I have memory weakness and I have support with making appointments. I could not do without my daily support, we have built a friendship with the care and support I receive. I have the main caregiver who comes at least 5 days a week which really helps me having the continuity.

The standard of care my dad has received from Home Instead has been exceptional. All carers seem to really care about dad and his needs, they are conscientious and the standard of personal care is excellent. I would definitely recommend the team to anyone looking for care within the home.

Alan and Lucy were both attracted to the ethos of Home Instead. We knew Home Instead was right for us after seeing how we could make a real difference, not only to an individual but importantly how we would be able to work alongside other charities and businesses to support our local senior community here in Trafford. We opened our doors back in 2010 and have been providing at-home care support ever since, touching the lives of over 1,000 clients and thousands more out in the community.


Alan’s role is to build relationships & look for opportunities for Home Instead to contribute to the local community whilst managing the business side of the company. “I am currently supporting the development of our community magazine, ‘Live Well, Your Way. With it, we can promote local activities, resources, and support groups around the community, enhancing the lives of our neighbourhoods.

Laura has worked in the care sector for around 15 years in a variety of different roles. Starting off as a weekend pantry assistant then assisting people living with dementia. Alongside this, Laura attended South Trafford College as a Health Care Cadet gaining 2 years of experience on the wards of Trafford General Hospital.
In 2020 Laura became the Registered Care Manager at Home Instead Altrincham with the support of our wonderful client team Karen, Suzanne, and Nicola.
