Living 300 miles away from my 93-year-old mother was not easy. For just over a year Burleys visited her once a day, and then twice, to make sure she was OK, do her shopping, give her her medication. They were constantly in contact with me and I knew that I would get an immediate response if I had any queries. The carers were proactive in her care, calling paramedics, district nurse, doctor, etc. as and when necessary. My mum was very happy with all the carers who visited and became friends with them. Unfortunately, the time came when she was just too unsteady on her feet and was falling regularly, so we took the decision to move her to a care home near where we live. The care we received from Burleys was exemplary.
Your mother was a pleasure to care for and we are all going to miss her very much but know she is safe and well and happy. Your mother was one of a kind and did give us a welcoming challenge daily.
Many thanks.
i was introduced to Burley's Home Care because my family noticed that I wasn't eating a full and healthy diet, but with their help, I am healthy and well! Excellent.
Service provided very good.
From the outset, the managers maintained a very thorough professional approach, from the initial risk assessment and recommended changes and improvements to the bungalow for our Aunts benefit.
We could not have asked for better carers who gave 3 one hour mealtime visits a day, preparing fresh vegetables and cooking real food, not instant meals. Their visits were not just functional. They formed friendships and gave companionship and conversation as well, taking her shopping and going the extra mile for Aunts benefit sometimes even using their personal time.
At the end Burleys made the decision to end the homecare arrangement and seek a residential place due to Aunts deteriorating health, a decision obviously motivated by care for Aunts well being and not profit.
Thanks to all the staff at Burleys.

I am delighted with what the manager and her girls have done for us.
Only in my sixth week of having a weekday call (8.00 - 9.00 am) but I am very pleased with the service provided. All the ladies are very kind and patient with my wife, who has mixed dementia. I would have no hesitation in a recommendation to a friend or relative.
All fabulous and feel they look after me well.
The carers are very helpful and pleasant, nothing is too much trouble, and very willing to help.

Meet the Team (3)
"Home care should feel like an extension of family."
For me, home care is not just about meeting needs—it’s about listening, understanding, and ensuring that clients have real choices. At Burleys Home Care, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we create bespoke care plans that honour each individual’s preferences, routines, and dignity, allowing them to continue living life on their own terms in the comfort of home.
Arranging care for a loved one can feel like a big decision, with so much to consider. That’s why I make it my mission to be a friendly face, a listening ear, and a trusted guide for families navigating this journey. Whether you need support understanding care options, guidance with dementia care, or simply reassurance that your loved one is in safe hands, I’m always happy to help. As a Dementia Champion, I am particularly passionate about ensuring families feel supported, informed, and confident in their decisions.
For me, Burleys Home Care isn’t just a business—it’s about care and support that makes a real difference. Every day, I feel privileged to be part of a service that helps families, supports individuals, and brings peace of mind to those who need it most.
My Philosophy: “Everyone has the right to feel safe, valued, and in control of their care. I’m here to make sure that happens. Keeping your heart where it belongs.”
“Care should be personal, dignified, and feel like home.”
My role as Director is about more than just overseeing operations—it’s about ensuring that every client feels comfortable, respected, and truly cared for. I love meeting families, listening to their concerns, and helping them find the best care solutions for their unique circumstances. Whether you need help understanding private care funding, navigating NHS Personal Health Budgets (PHBs), or arranging complex care planning, I am here to offer clear, practical advice and reassurance.
I believe that great home care goes beyond just helping with daily tasks—it’s about building relationships, promoting independence, and ensuring that clients genuinely enjoy life. Whether someone needs a few hours of companionship each week or 24/7 live-in care, I make sure that our team provides support that is tailored, respectful, and enhances each client’s well-being.
I am also incredibly passionate about staff development and creating a workplace where caregivers feel valued, supported, and motivated. A happy, well-trained care team is essential to delivering the highest standard of care, so I make it a priority to invest in their training, career progression, and overall well-being.
My Philosophy: “Home care should never feel like a service—it should feel like family. Every client deserves kindness, respect, and the highest standard of support.”
I have spent my career in both NHS and private healthcare, working across care coordination, service transformation, and quality improvement. My experience has given me a deep understanding of how to ensure that care is not only professional and efficient but also truly personal and compassionate. At Burleys Home Care, my role is to make sure that every client receives the highest standard of support, tailored to their needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
I also take great pride in supporting our caregivers, ensuring they have the training, guidance, and resources they need to provide exceptional care. A valued and well-supported team leads to the best possible experience for our clients, and I am passionate about fostering a culture where everyone feels appreciated and motivated to make a difference.
My Philosophy: "Care should always feel personal, compassionate, and reassuring—for both clients and their families."
