Home Instead looked after mum at home between June 2012 and May 2016. Her carers provided her with companionship, nutritious meals, personal care and help with her hobbies (flower arranging, for example). It gave us, her family, peace of mind that mum was safe and cared for at home.
It was little extra
kindnesses that made the difference: bringing mum home-made cake, a copy of her favourite magazine, a lovely neck scarf, are just a few examples.

I have used a few companies for dad's care but none have met the standards given by the care team at Home Instead, Rochdale. Dad is happy with the care provided and I have peace of mind knowing he is looked after.

I have used the services of Home Instead Rochdale for 18 months and find the whole team to be professional, practical and most importantly very caring towards my mum. They always put the needs of my mum first, especially when arranging the visits of the carers, so that she is aware of who will be there
to support. I would definitely recommend to others and have already done so. As her daughter, I feel that she is in safe hands and have confidence in them 100%.

The initial meeting was set up, arranged and conducted in both a friendly and professional manner. The carers were introduced in an appropriate manner prior to beginning work with the client. All questions relating to the care programme were fully answered in a courteous and friendly manner.

The

carers provided have both been excellent. They have arrived on time and done their job very well, quickly establishing a rapport with the client...my mother.

We continue to use this company to support the care which is provided for our mother. Planning ahead for when we need support is integral and so far, the company has been able to meet all our requirements.

Excellent carers and management team.
The team do everything they can to help fit their services to what is needed to support my disabled elderly parents.
The management team regularly check that all is going well and I feel that I only have to ask the individual carers and they will try to do.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.848 for Home Instead (Rochdale) is calculated as follows: ( (129 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 145 Ratings = 4.848
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Home Instead (Rochdale) is based on 25 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Job Title: Franchise Owner

As the owner of Home Instead Rochdale, my focus is on the service first and the business second as I want to provide a quality service that I would be happy to use for myself and my family.

I have a daughter who used to live with me in Hebden Bridge but she has now flown the nest. When I am not dedicating my time to Home Instead, I enjoy hill walking- especially in the Lake District, spending time in my vegetable garden and looking after my chickens. I also love cooking, but it is really just an excuse to listen to football on the radio and to drink red wine!

Hello, my name is Rebecca, and I am the Care Manager at Home Instead Rochdale. After graduating from university in 2020, I started working for Home Instead. I have recently obtained my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.

I thoroughly enjoy the work I do at Home Instead as we enable individuals to remain in their homes for as long as they would like. My favourite part of the job is setting up new care packages and seeing the positive difference our service can make!

I live locally with my cats, Tillie and Lunar. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and going out for food, especially Italian food!

I thoroughly enjoy the challenges that my role presents me with and even more so as it is for a company that I respect and am proud to work for.

I live in Bacup with my husband Jon, my two young boys Jack and Charlie and my daughter Rosie; my children are in infant school and nursery so outside of work I am busy looking after them and our cat Rodders! I love food, especially cheese, and love going camping in our tent as often as possible. My favourite holiday is our annual drive to the south of France to see my French family; it takes two days but the children love the journey!
