Immediate trust engendered by carers. Hard-working and skilled and gave full value for the period paid for. What became apparent was their kindness and concern for both the client and her spouse. The strapline is 'to us it's personal' - we found that all the carers lived up to this. They became almost
like family. An outstanding experience, despite the unhappy circumstances.

I am disabled and deaf and my needs include shopping for food, housework, washing, garden and lawn mowing, handwashing, telephoning of all sorts, appointments, inquiries, prospective purchasing etc. All these needs have been and are being met each week willingly and expertly, and also include simple
food preparation. I have always felt I could ask for any variation on either of my two days a week.
Now that severe lockdowns are easing I will also need transport to appointments on my care days sometimes as I had before the COVID-19 situation.

Care service is reliable with a good understanding of what is required supported by the actual carer. The personality of carer is excellent and friendly, and as a result, all aspects of the care are successful in the actual provision. I have never experienced any problem in the care received, which
is always provided with a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

My parents receive care 4 times a day from Home Instead Rochdale. They have a small group of regular carers who cover for each other so they always know the people who visit. I can not speak highly enough about the caregivers who treat my parents with dignity, respect, kindness and friendship.
My only
slight concern is the change from written documentation which is available in the home to online record-keeping which is completed on a phone and therefore not readily accessed by ourselves.

We are very pleased with the standard of care provided by Home Instead. All the carers are very kind, caring and efficient and many go above and beyond the required very high standards. One carer, in particular, regularly brings my aunt a home cooked meal from their own home and was going to have her
over on Christmas day except that she was rushed into hospital.

My mother had broken her right wrist and needed support to dress and wash. Following the removal of her pet, as my mother had lived alone, we continued with carers from Home Instead as they also provided companionship.
My mother also suffered from mild cognitive impairment (memory loss). The carers
were brilliant with my mother. It has only been as my mum has become very confused that I have had to move her to a care home. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to others. They are fantastic.

Home Instead provide an excellent service to you are 20-year-old daughter. They have worked with us as parents and our daughter to provide a bespoke service which fits her requirements perfectly. My daughter has the same carer on a daily basis who goes above and beyond. She is friendly, professional
and punctual. She has built an excellent relationship with our daughter and the care provided is very personal to her which included trips out and activities.

I am the daughter of a Home Instead client and I would like to sing the praises of my Dad's carer, who went above and beyond for us and especially for Dad last week. We would not have coped without her care whilst Dad was so ill, and it makes me realise how right we were to enlist the services of Home
Instead two months ago. We cannot thank her enough for being there for us and especially for Dad and for giving up her own valuable family time to come to our aid. Knowing that someone else cares gives peace of mind and we are as a family forever grateful.

I am a new client to Home Instead. I need help with certain tasks in my home as I suffer from Alzheimers and Vascular Dementia. Although at first, I was anxious about having someone new in my home, I am beyond happy with the service. My carer is kind and helpful and I look forward to her visits, and
our chats. I am so pleased that I made the decision and allowed Home Instead to help me and enhance my life.

My Carer is pleasant, reliable and also co-operative. She is happy to take my instructions but will also use her initiative and make suggestions. She is flexible (as I am) and will adapt her work to fulfil what is needed. Whilst the majority of her work concerns the upkeeps and cleanliness of the house,
she will respond to my personal needs when required.

We have found all mum's Carers lovely. They have all been very reliable and professional. They are very caring and treat mum with respect and dignity. They are supportive towards us as family and have helped out with a variety of needs when we have not been available.
Their input has had a great impact
on us. Mum has formed great bonds with her Carers. I have found management staff equally professional and supportive.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.848) out of 10 for Home Instead (Rochdale) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.848 for Home Instead (Rochdale) is calculated as follows: ( (129 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 145 Ratings = 4.848
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Home Instead (Rochdale) is based on 25 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Franchise Owner

As the owner of Home Instead Rochdale, my focus is on the service first and the business second as I want to provide a quality service that I would be happy to use for myself and my family.

I have a daughter who used to live with me in Hebden Bridge but she has now flown the nest. When I am not dedicating my time to Home Instead, I enjoy hill walking- especially in the Lake District, spending time in my vegetable garden and looking after my chickens. I also love cooking, but it is really just an excuse to listen to football on the radio and to drink red wine!

Hello, my name is Rebecca, and I am the Care Manager at Home Instead Rochdale. After graduating from university in 2020, I started working for Home Instead. I have recently obtained my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.

I thoroughly enjoy the work I do at Home Instead as we enable individuals to remain in their homes for as long as they would like. My favourite part of the job is setting up new care packages and seeing the positive difference our service can make!

I live locally with my cats, Tillie and Lunar. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and going out for food, especially Italian food!

I thoroughly enjoy the challenges that my role presents me with and even more so as it is for a company that I respect and am proud to work for.

I live in Bacup with my husband Jon, my two young boys Jack and Charlie and my daughter Rosie; my children are in infant school and nursery so outside of work I am busy looking after them and our cat Rodders! I love food, especially cheese, and love going camping in our tent as often as possible. My favourite holiday is our annual drive to the south of France to see my French family; it takes two days but the children love the journey!
