From the time of my initial enquiry, all contact with the company has been excellent - they have been professional, helpful, efficient and courteous. My Mum struggled with anxiety and being left on her own and, with immediate family being so widespread, the two daily visits (which we later increased to three) were a great help and she really looked forward to them.
The carers were kind and considerate and I would have no hesitation in recommending this sort of 'companionship care' in the home. It was great for Mum but also provided a lot of reassurance for the family.
It isn't particularly cheap, especially on a tight budget, but as with everything else in life, you get what you pay for. You can probably find a cheaper alternative but I'd say the overall service levels, care and professionalism are definitely worth paying for.
Thank you for your glowing review. It was a pleasure to work with mum and we are always on the end of the phone if needed
Home Instead have delivered on their promise to provide dignified and quality care. The consistency of named carers visiting my mum is really appreciated by her and by her family. The care, friendship and compassion the carers provide is second to none. The Home Instead management team have also shown my family real compassion and flexibility during some tough times. I would recommend their service to anyone planning care and support for themselves or their family.
Thank you so much for this review. It is nice to receive good feedback as it helps us with future service and clients.
Immediate trust engendered by carers. Hard-working and skilled and gave full value for the period paid for. What became apparent was their kindness and concern for both the client and her spouse. The strapline is 'to us it's personal' - we found that all the carers lived up to this. They became almost like family. An outstanding experience, despite the unhappy circumstances.
Thank you so much for your kind words, it was a pleasure to work with her.
Very happy with the care I receive. If there have been any problems they are soon dealt with.
Now that severe lockdowns are easing I will also need transport to appointments on my care days sometimes as I had before the COVID-19 situation.
Care service is reliable with a good understanding of what is required supported by the actual carer. The personality of carer is excellent and friendly, and as a result, all aspects of the care are successful in the actual provision. I have never experienced any problem in the care received, which is always provided with a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
My only slight concern is the change from written documentation which is available in the home to online record-keeping which is completed on a phone and therefore not readily accessed by ourselves.
We are very pleased with the standard of care provided by Home Instead. All the carers are very kind, caring and efficient and many go above and beyond the required very high standards. One carer, in particular, regularly brings my aunt a home cooked meal from their own home and was going to have her over on Christmas day except that she was rushed into hospital.
My mother also suffered from mild cognitive impairment (memory loss). The carers were brilliant with my mother. It has only been as my mum has become very confused that I have had to move her to a care home. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to others. They are fantastic.
Home Instead provide an excellent service to you are 20-year-old daughter. They have worked with us as parents and our daughter to provide a bespoke service which fits her requirements perfectly. My daughter has the same carer on a daily basis who goes above and beyond. She is friendly, professional and punctual. She has built an excellent relationship with our daughter and the care provided is very personal to her which included trips out and activities.
Friendly, caring, efficient staff providing a reliable service. Staff are very proactive and use their initiative in carrying out tasks relating to my needs. Completely trustworthy and respectful of my needs and capabilities. Highly recommend.
I am the daughter of a Home Instead client and I would like to sing the praises of my Dad's carer, who went above and beyond for us and especially for Dad last week. We would not have coped without her care whilst Dad was so ill, and it makes me realise how right we were to enlist the services of Home Instead two months ago. We cannot thank her enough for being there for us and especially for Dad and for giving up her own valuable family time to come to our aid. Knowing that someone else cares gives peace of mind and we are as a family forever grateful.
I am a new client to Home Instead. I need help with certain tasks in my home as I suffer from Alzheimers and Vascular Dementia. Although at first, I was anxious about having someone new in my home, I am beyond happy with the service. My carer is kind and helpful and I look forward to her visits, and our chats. I am so pleased that I made the decision and allowed Home Instead to help me and enhance my life.
All of your staff are very helpful.
My Carer is pleasant, reliable and also co-operative. She is happy to take my instructions but will also use her initiative and make suggestions. She is flexible (as I am) and will adapt her work to fulfil what is needed. Whilst the majority of her work concerns the upkeeps and cleanliness of the house, she will respond to my personal needs when required.
Their input has had a great impact on us. Mum has formed great bonds with her Carers. I have found management staff equally professional and supportive.
An excellent company who make an effort to match a Carer with the client. Carers are aware of developments and attend training sessions to assist clients with their special needs.
Very good service for my relative but had to review use due to price rise and budget restrictions.
Excellent service from all carers. Well recommended.
Very good service. Carers look after my mum very well. Thanks.

Meet the Team (6)
As the owner of Home Instead Rochdale, my focus is on the service first and the business second as I want to provide a quality service that I would be happy to use for myself and my family.
I have a daughter who used to live with me in Hebden Bridge but she has now flown the nest. When I am not dedicating my time to Home Instead, I enjoy hill walking- especially in the Lake District, spending time in my vegetable garden and looking after my chickens. I also love cooking, but it is really just an excuse to listen to football on the radio and to drink red wine!
My name is Beth and I am the Operations Manager. My role is to effectively coordinate all day-to-day operations and lead a team of Key Players to proactively manage the needs of the clients and Care Professionals whilst keeping our quality of care at the highest level.
Hello, my name is Rebecca, and I am the Care Manager at Home Instead Rochdale. After graduating from university in 2020, I started working for Home Instead. I have recently obtained my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
I thoroughly enjoy the work I do at Home Instead as we enable individuals to remain in their homes for as long as they would like. My favourite part of the job is setting up new care packages and seeing the positive difference our service can make!
I live locally with my cats, Tillie and Lunar. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and going out for food, especially Italian food!
I’m Kim and I’m the Scheduler in our team. Day to day I am responsible for coordinating the carers and the clients and ensuring everyone knows where they need to be and when. I thoroughly enjoy the challenges that my role presents me with and even more so as it is for a company that I respect and am proud to work for.
I live in Bacup with my husband Jon, my two young boys Jack and Charlie and my daughter Rosie; my children are in infant school and nursery so outside of work I am busy looking after them and our cat Rodders! I love food, especially cheese, and love going camping in our tent as often as possible. My favourite holiday is our annual drive to the south of France to see my French family; it takes two days but the children love the journey!
I’m Joanne, I am the networker at Home Instead, Rochdale. I cover Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale to raise awareness of the high-quality services we provide. The role enables me to spend time building and developing community relationships with other agencies, community services and local groups.
I have always worked directly with the public. I have spent the last 16 years of my career working in the care sector with varied experience in Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and Carer Support. I find my role exciting and rewarding, particularly engaging with the whole community and providing support wherever I can.
I was born in Rochdale and live locally. I have two teenage daughters and a cat, they all keep me very busy. When I get a chance to relax (in between being a mum taxi) I enjoy going to the theatre and I also volunteer at local am-dram societies.
Hi, I’m Lisa and I look after recruitment and training here at Home Instead, Rochdale My role covers recruitment, retention and training.
I enjoy meeting people and following their progress from application through to induction/training to becoming a CARE Professional. It's really rewarding to see our staff develop their confidence and skills.
I live in Whitworth, close to my parents, daughter and her family.
My grandson keeps me very busy and active, especially when he has a sleepover at my house. I also have a dog named Billy!
