I recently required support following hip surgery. Circumstances were unusual as I was living in a hotel, but Doris Jones was extremely flexible and accommodating and provided exactly the level of service I asked for.

My mother has had to accept having a carer in her home for just two hours once a week, as I live in Cape Town and need to know there is a reputable agency I can call on in cases of emergency, where people know my mother and know her situation. I am pleased to report my mother is delighted with her carer who comes for just 2 hours every Monday morning, to change the bedding and do some light housework. She enjoys the interaction and the chats. I am delighted to report she has been converted to being very accepting of carer assistance! Thank you.

Having people come into your home can be a difficult situation but I would highly recommend this care agency and often do, to anyone finding themselves in need of care.

I could not ask for better carers to look after my wife. They always show kindness and consideration to my wife and are very gentle in the way they attend to her. She is chair bound and cannot make herself understood due to the stroke she had some 13 months ago.

An excellent company in every area from administration to care. Lovely staff, always willing and efficient. The Carers were all great and gave my mum superb care. She looked forward to their visits, which were mostly on time. On the rare occasions there were unavoidable delays, I received a call so I could tell my mum. When we initially looked for a care company, we never imagined how prudent our choice of Doris Jones would be. Nothing has been too much trouble. They have been reliable and professional always. Their communication is excellent, advising us of potential issues or areas of concern that they had. They are carers who care, both as individuals and as a company.

The standard they have maintained is such that we have never had cause to have any worry about putting our mother's welfare in their hands. and have been confident that they never had anything other than her best interests at heart.

A few years ago, my late wife, who was older than me, became ill and I contacted Doris Jones Ltd seeking help for her. Their carers were excellent, they visited her daily and helped her with her washing, kept her clean and tidy, ensured she took her medications correctly and on time. A few months later she passed away peacefully in her sleep. Since this was during the 2nd world war, we didn't have any children, now over 90 years old myself and fairly fit, I put this down to having the same company's care.

We have been using the service of Doris Jones for 9 weeks and I would recommend them to anybody. The care plan was set up in a very professional, efficient way. The staff are always extremely helpful and accommodating, if I make an enquiry. The carers who come to my elderly aunt, who has dementia, are extremely well trained, kind and understanding. They have made a tremendous difference to the quality of my aunt's life as she lives alone, aged 90 yrs and is in a wheelchair. They not only do personal care but also take care of her cat and keep the flat clean and tidy.

The administration was also very professional with frequent communications to notify of any changes or simply to enquire about how things were working out for us.

Assistance with "keeping clean" is really appreciated, as it is sadly time that senior citizens find "keeping clean" requires help, virtually from day to day.

My Dad suffers from mild dementia and is currently living alone as my mum is in a hospital and is likely to be there for months. Over the weeks we realised that Dad was eating cheese sandwiches and biscuits only every day. Doris Jones carers have come in every day and prepared my dad a hot meal at lunchtime. But more importantly, they always sit and take the time to talk to Dad. By his own admission, he is now very lonely and we as a family could not be more grateful for the kindness and care that Doris Jones have given.

Washing up, ironing, getting lunch, I could go on!

My mother underwent an emergency lifesaving operation in April 2016. Following her discharge in early May, she required home based care to cover essential heath and welfare needs. I was recommended to contact Doris Jones to provide this service.

Throughout the last year, they have been invaluable in ensuring mums needs are met and their assistance has had a knock on effect in providing me with peace of mind. As well as the health and welfare aspect of their assistance they have also provided companionship and assistance with taking mum to appointments etc. Most importantly when there is something that I need help with in relation to mums looking after I know I can always rely on the carers from Doris Jones.

I required some domestic help following a total hip replacement in March this year. Doris Jones Ltd was able to provide this help for the few weeks required. Their carers were punctual and diligent and I would recommend them.

Careers attend three days weekly for one hour. They are very willing and in a pleasant manner. The company is flexible and adapts to extreme circumstances.

As far as I am concerned, I have no complaints whatsoever. It is well run with excellent care from all the carers. This also applied to the office staff who are extremely helpful and do their work in a cheerful and happy way.

Following an illness, my mum agreed, that outside help was required to help her return to her previous independence within her own home. I'd heard about 'Doris Jones' so made enquiries. It was the best move I could have made!

From the moment I started talking to the team, it was apparent that they look at each client as individuals. It was important to rebuild mums confidence, stability and ability to look after herself independently again. Mum was very apprehensive but her anxieties were soon put aside by the friendly accommodating team. A folder was produced laying out the full details of Mums personal requirements. As she improved we cut back to two visits which became more social visits as she looked forward to the company and cup of tea (which she made !) and a chat!

The overall service by both the management and the visiting team has been amazing and we would have no hesitation in recommending them completely - or indeed using them again in the future should that need arise.
