As a family, we are indebted to Home Instead. From the first contact, the service has been outstanding. Everyone involved is warm, friendly, courteous, caring and competent. The admin staff answer quickly and always callback if they have promised to do so. The carers are just wonderful. We could not have managed without them and we will always be grateful to them.
As a family, we are enormously grateful to Home Instead for giving us peace of mind. We know that my parents in law are safe and happy.
Home Instead (HI) and the Wetherby team have been fantastic since first approached, caring, attentive and professional - we contacted other agencies however HI are by far the best, once a proposal was in place, it was an easy decision to have Dad's care with them.
Over 6 months HI has stepped up to every challenge where we have asked for help, quickly putting in place great staff, all with a quiet and efficient backroom support and logistics. We would not have been able to keep Dad at home in comfort, with the other NHS agencies around him, without the care and attention to detail that HI has provided.
All these scenarios with Dads care have been new to us and at each level HI has been able to guide us forward with Dovetail with all Dad's medical care, we have always felt confident with HI.
All the HI staff are brilliant in their approach to Dad, he has been able to take step by step, all the care and help he has needed, he says "I'm so lucky I only meet nice people" a testament to the HI ethos.
As a post-polio victim, I broke a bone in my hand and required assistance with bathing and dressing until my hand healed - approximately 4 weeks.
I found all the carers very helpful, kind and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I have made some new friends.
I recently arranged care for an elderly couple who live next door to me. They were both in their 90's and required companionship and personal assistance. The Home Instead team were incredible, nothing was ever too much trouble and they were always flexible and efficient whenever I needed to change times of visit. The staff who visited were always professional and courteous to my elderly neighbours and I know they were well like and well thought of by both clients. The office staff were always polite and accommodating. Without the input of the Home Instead team I don't know how I would have managed. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and would certainly use them again if the need ever arises.
My thanks to everyone for the patience and help.

Meet the Team (14)
Following 35 years of business experience in corporate roles with well-known brands working largely in the retail sector, I wanted to do something that would make a difference.
After experiencing the difficulty of finding high-quality care for my immediate family, I very much value the approach to senior care and independence that Home Instead offers so I joined the Home Instead Wetherby office in 2016. My role is to lead the Wetherby & North Leeds team, spread the word about the Home Instead experience, and run the business aspects of the operation.
As General Manager, Cath oversees all aspects of the service with a deep commitment to the wellbeing of older adults. She’s passionate about helping people remain independent in the place they know best: home, while building lasting connections within the local community.
After previously working in adult social care for over 30 years, I took early retirement to care for a family member. I then decided to join Home Instead as a CAREGiver and loved the role so much that I wanted to develop my career. I used my skills to become a Care Service Manager looking after the Leeds area. I am now the Care Manager, overseeing all aspects of our car across Wetherby & Leeds. I really enjoy the contact with our clients and their families, so I can tailor the service we provide to their needs.
With extensive experience in the sector, Louisa brings high levels of expertise and attention to detail to her role of Client Service Manager. Louisa plans and supports her clients through their journey in care and is a valued member of our team.
Our Client Service Manager, Megan, has over 30 years of experience in the NHS in various nursing roles, and so brings a high level of understanding and expertise into her role, ensuring our clients receive the personalised care they need.
Nina beings her wealth of experience as a Care Professional into her role as Care Co-Ordinator. With her infectious enthusiasm and passion for the caring profession, we are incredibly fortunate to have Nina as a central member of our Wetherby team.
As Client Experience Manager, Gemma makes sure every client and their family feels genuinely supported. She’s all about personal, flexible care that adapts to each individual’s needs and building trust with our wonderful community.
Katherine joined Home Instead Wetherby in October 2023 after completing a degree in Marketing Management. She joined the team to share online the amazing home care service provided to support clients to live well at home locally.
Before starting my career with Home Instead I was a Business Development Manager but joined as both a Community Representative and a CAREGiver, so I could make a difference in people’s lives, having previously nursed my mum who was living with dementia.
Racheal has over 12 years experience in the sector. As Recruitment Manager, she ensures the efficient recruitment of Care Professionals that best match our client’s needs.
Racheal chose to join Home Instead as the company’s values and culture align with her own beliefs.
Before joining Home Instead, I trained as a hairdresser but became disillusioned. I first fell in love with caring as a personal assistant privately for four years, then trained with Home Instead as a CAREGiver. I want to pass on my passion and experience in care to ensure our clients receive the care they need. Outside of work, I love running and keeping fit, reading and spending time with family.
I joined Home Instead four years ago as a Care Professional which I absolutely loved and met some lovely clients and fellow Care Pros along the way. It's been a pleasure helping to look after them. I have now moved into the role as our Audit Manager which will see me oversee and support the smooth running of the business.
Fiona has worked in the care sector most of her adult life, and enjoys every day of it. As well as caring for clients, she also supports Care Professionals in the field.
She feels lucky to work for Home Instead and enjoys meeting wonderful clients and Care Professionals.
Kendra joined Home Instead in 2022 having previously worked within the financial services sector in HR and Scheduling functions.
She values Home Instead's ethos and relishes building relationships with clients, their families and Care Professionals.
