A year last February I had a knee replacement and as I have no family I needed some home care. I had heard of Home Instead Senior Care (Ascot, Camberley and Wokingham) and they came in twice a day for an hour. The hour passed too quickly but all of them (I had 6 different carers) did anything they could to help and seemed always cheerful, given that most days they were the only time I saw anyone that was important. For the last year, I have continued to have just one carer once a week and continue to look forward to their visits. No complaints.
Thanks, Margaret - it's a pleasure to be able to help.
My elderly parents were full of trepidation at the thought of having carers visit, but they needn’t have worried. They’ve been so impressed with the kindness, reliability, cheerfulness and common sense the carers bring with them on each and every visit. Their care is exemplary. They treat my father with dignity and respect even though his dementia causes challenging behaviour and they have been a great support to my mother who visibly relaxes when they are in the house. The agency is fleet-footed and flexible if care sessions need to change and respond very promptly to emails and calls. I heard about Home Instead through personal recommendation and am so thankful for everything they do.
Thanks for your kind comments Cathy. It's a pleasure to support your parents!
Always very satisfied, but if I need you again and your help with laundry, I would appreciate if the Carer knows how to use an iron and make a bed with two sheets!
Thanks for your review Margaret. We've changed our training since you let us know about the ironing, so I'm sure that problem won't arise again. I hope you're managing well without us.
I no longer need their help, but if I were ever to meed home help again I would request the same ladies.
Over the last 12 months Home Instead visited my mother up to 3 times a day and the carers were always polite, professional and above all compassionate.
Thanks Lesley. Your mum was a lovely character and a pleasure to visit
Home Instead Senior Care (Ascot, Camberley and Wokingham) has now helped my mum for nearly a year. She is active and independent but did suffer a stroke which has restricted a lot of what she can do. I can only heap praise on the Home Instead team. Everyone is wonderful and I really could not recommend the service and the team more highly.
Thanks very much Linda. It's always a pleasure to be able to help!
Home Instead are a very professional company. They provided excellent carers for my mother. All my dealings with this company have been fantastic and I cannot fault them.
Thank you. I hope your mother is very happy in her new home.
The carer who looked after my aunt was very competent and professional but at the same time formed a very close and loving bond with her which was very nice for both of them. She was reliable and good humoured and very flexible, often taking my aunt to hospital appointments, and being an active listener during them. For the last weeks of my aunt's life she visited twice a day to supplement the work of the live-in carer, and during the last week I was there too and the 3 of us formed a good team and got on well together.
Thank you for your kind comment Huw. It was a pleasure to help your aunt. She was a very special person and I will always remember her.
Generally all good. The care obviously varies with the care giver.
The care and love shown to my husband and I over recent months has been a great help.
We were made to feel comfortable and nothing was a problem.
Suggestions were made and a plan was put into place.
Introductions were fairly quick and the whole process was efficient, friendly and first class.
Our Dad has decided he is OK on his own at the moment with our help and support obviously.
We will re-introduce care in the future and will contact Home Instead again.
The carers I've encountered were all very helpful and under pressure, coped with situations calmly and efficiently.
With their assistance, I felt both myself and my mother had a more varied and relaxed life.
Maggie.
My father was a client of Home Instead for 3 years. I couldn't have been more pleased with the standard of care that he received during this time. The staff that come to see him were excellent and I couldn't fault them. He only moved into residential care because he became too frail to stay at home.
Thanks very much for your lovely comments - it was a pleasure to look after your dad. I hope he settles well in his new home, Maggie.
No problems.
Maggie.
My experience of the Bagshot Home Instead Senior Care was short but very positive. I cannot fault any of my dealings with them and the carers who served my husband were excellent - allowing him to keep his dignity at a very fragile time. Two days after my husband passed away I found a thoughtful card and single flower on my doorstep - a very sweet gesture - no attempt to see or talk to me which was very very kind at a private time.
Thank you Irene, it was a pleasure to look after your husband.
Not only that they have a personal touch.
It's important with the job that they do, to have good conversation and compassion.
Thank you for your kind comments. It was a pleasure to be able to help.
The team at Home Instead looked after my mum ad hoc over the last 2 years to give me vital half-day respite periods. I was my mum's full-time carer and her conditions (including dementia) made that care very challenging at times, particularly toward the end of her life. So the respite was a real lifeline. Home Instead always found carers to match my mum's needs, sometimes at short notice, and they could also maintain a high degree of consistency in carer which was great for my mum. Their communication, courtesy, response time, professionalism, customer service and standard of care were excellent.
Thanks for your kind comments David. It was a pleasure to be able to help.
She was very understanding and always supplied staff that could cope with my mum's needs.
Always willing to change shifts when required and kept to the same staff for all the shifts which was perfect for my mum who had dementia.
I would always refer my friends who need help to Home Instead.
Very best wishes to you and your family,
Maggie.
Great service from the team who assisted from early in mum's diagnosis to her moving into the care home. We were kept informed of issues and progress and our requests, which changed regularly due to fast illness progression were reacted to quickly and efficiently. As we children do not live locally, it took the burden of care from our shoulders and gave mum company, activities and care we could not offer.
She was dealt with compassionately, patiently and kindly.
We, her children, do not live locally.
We cannot thank the Bagshot Team enough for their dedication to our situation.

Meet the Team (1)
I joined the office team at Bagshot in September 2018, having previously worked as a CAREGiver for the Woking branch until I moved closer to Bagshot.
I’ve loved working for Home Instead as a CAREGiver, helping to support individuals so they can carry on living at home independently.
My role now is to meet new clients and help them design the kind of support they would like to receive, visit our existing clients to make sure they're happy with the support they're receiving and deal with questions from our team of CAREGivers.
I am very much looking forward to my new role and getting to know all of the clients and CAREGivers.
