We had no hesitation in selecting Home Instead (or Home Alone as I liked to call them) from a variety of service agencies we spoke to. Dad received almost daily help from their lovely staff for about a year and looked forward to their daily visits. Never was a cross or bad word spoken by the lovely carers who always came in with a smile and chatty demeanour. They almost became part of the family when dad moved in with us in August 18. Yes, he tried their patience sometimes but they battled on and managed wonderfully to have themselves twisted round his little finger. He was always very grateful for what they did. They could persuade him to do things we couldn't, his early signs of dementia sometimes made life difficult for us. After dad had passed to Glory the company continued to show compassion, love and care to my wife and I. A truly amazing company and one I have no hesitation in recommending.
This agency was a bit more expensive than another I tried but had many advantages - caring staff who built a relationship with my mother, stayed for the full hour, were reliable and prompt and she had the same regular staff who she got to know.
At a time when we needed it most, Home Instead were a godsend, we were provided with the support we needed for our mum with a degree of compassion, professionalism, trust and dignity. We were recommended, so we are also to recommend!
All the staff at Home Instead were excellent. They cared for my father with professionalism and a great deal of practical good sense. They also offered sympathy and support to the family when we had to deal with his admission to hospital and the changes necessary to his care plan on discharge.
My family and I cannot thank Home Instead enough for the care they have given my grandmother over the last year. The fact that my Nan was allocated just two designated carers has really helped to keep her feeling calm and safe in her own home. They understand her dementia and really got to know her personality. Nan really looked forward to their visits. Sadly Nan is not able to stay at home anymore, she needs 24 hr care in a home, one of the worst things is that she'll lose her beloved Home Instead ladies. They are not the cheapest company but as with everything, you get what you pay for and we really believe they are worth every penny, the office staff also are wonderful, there is always someone to answer queries and their response time is great.
We are really pleased with the service offered and the care that all of the staff give to my parents in law. They are quick to notify us of any problems and suggest solutions to developing issues.
Both my in-laws like all of the carers and are happy to have them in their home, having been reluctant to accept help. We have now used Home Instead for nearly two years and it has enhanced all of our lives
I have felt very pleased that I decided to use Home Instead Senior Care (Milton Keynes) to care for my husband. The staff have all been friendly, polite, caring and trustworthy. I feel that my husband's life was enriched by them and for which I am deeply grateful.
I asked that at the end of the care we should be able to look back on a happy and fun stay. We were able to do this. - Thank you Home Instead.
Mum was very reluctant to accept any outside help but with the patient ways of 'her team,' mum soon regarded her carers as her friends who she trusted and loved to see. They brightened up her day and put a smile on her face. When asked if she would like to know who was coming in from 'her team', she said "I don't mind, they are all great."
Nothing was too much trouble and I know I presented Home Instead with a few headaches with regards to having a lot more care in place at different times and at short notice but it was sorted out without a hitch or hesitation.
I would highly recommend Home Instead - they are amazing, caring human beings.
Thank you.
Home Instead provided care for my mother for eight months. We were impressed from the start with their professional and holistic approach. We had a dedicated team of three excellent carers providing three visits a day. Each of them showed great consideration and kindness to my mother - nothing was too much trouble. They used their initiative and took responsibility with support from the office when problems arose. We appreciated having regular reviews, and monitoring visits, inviting feedback from the management staff at the agency. We felt well informed and supported as a family. I can not recommend them highly enough.
I can't praise Home Instead, Milton Keynes highly enough. My mother loved her Carer who provided kindness, support and encouragement. She looked forward to her visits and found her help invaluable. I appreciated all of the help, support and thoughtful care from my mum's Carer and all aspects of management, both in person and on the phone. Fantastic, professional support. Thank you.
She responds well to them, relieving some of the pressure on my father, the primary Carer. Knowing that there is a capable and caring team available should we need more help in the future or have a sudden emergency, is a great psychological support to both my father and me.
We have found Carers and office staff caring, helpful and flexible. Staff continue to receive 'update' training as and when appropriate. There seems to be a good 'esprit de corps' amongst members of the team. We shall certainly continue to use Home Instead Senior Care services.
Excellent smiles. Wash, polish and shower services really good. Can't think of any ways to improve. Give me helpful hints on management.
I have been more than pleased with the help and encouragement I have received from my carer.
All carers used over the past 2 years have been very good, showing a lot of love and care for my wife. Office staff have been very good with all communication and visits.
All staff very helpful and supportive.
Very happy with the service provided by the office and carers. All communications were conducted professionally and promptly, our changing needs were accommodated and understood perfectly and overall, we had a very good relationship with all members of the team. Thank you.
Very good service and helpful staff. Unfortunately, were not able to help when I required more days.
Mum was very happy with the standard of home care received having received pretty sub-standard care from an agency selected by the council - so it was interesting that she was able to compare. There was a consistency of care and carers and times - all of which had been missing from the previous care agency.

Meet the Team (5)
My background is within the Hotel & Catering world, having run a Venue Finding Company for 20 years and prior to that working as a National Accounts Manager for a large chain of London Hotels. Service is in my blood, and when researching the Care Industry, I felt that this is a skill that would prove very useful.
I have lived near Olney for over 20 years with my husband Matt and 2 boys (now both young adults), lovely Phoebe, my Wheaten Terrier and 2 cats, Shadow & Mr Mugabe (he really is a dictator!) In my spare time, I love reading and walking in the lovely parks around our home.
Since starting up Home Instead in 2012, we have supported so many wonderful clients to facilitate their wishes to stay at home, wherever that may be, in the place they love or where they feel most comfortable. Getting help or admitting you might need some assistance isn't always an easy decision to make, but we have many years’ experience in the sector and know that choosing the right care is just so important. I do feel very proud of my team of office colleagues and CAREGivers who have embarked on this journey with me - we are always looking at ways we can improve and add another dimension to our wonderful clients' lives.
I started in Health and Social care 17 years ago, when I moved from London to Buckinghamshire. I had two small daughters and wanted something I could do as well as being a mum. Over the years, I have worked as a carer and run daycare centres for the elderly with the British Red Cross. I joined Home Instead in February 2012 when the office was first established. I have always been passionate about the good quality care that was central to each individual, and the Home Instead ethos matched this. When starting with Home Instead, I was the Registered Care Manager. As the company grew, I developed into the Operations Manager. More recently, I have been promoted to the General Manager of the company. I truly believe that we are the best home care company in our area, which has a passionate team in the office and out on the field. Whenever I get free time, I love to travel and embrace new experiences.
As a Care Manager, I am involved in most aspects of the daily delivery of our care services. From the moment we receive a new client enquiry, I will work together with the client and their family to put a plan in place that facilitates their individual needs.
Having over 10 years’ experience in the sector, initially supporting children before I moved into adult social care, I also deliver training to new CAREGivers, teaching them how to administer medication correctly and the principles of moving and handling.
I come from a large family, having 2 sisters and a brother. This makes my home life as busy as my work, as I'm currently living with my partner JJ, mum, dad, sisters, niece and 2 dogs, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
With a background in running pubs, I am used to having to juggle priorities, which is probably why I enjoy my role within the scheduling team so much. Ensuring that our clients get the right people at the right time every day takes dedication and commitment, but the rewards are well worth it. I know how important it is to the people we support to be sure that they can rely on us. Just that little phone call to let them know we are on our way, or that pint of milk we can get for them on our way over, can make all the difference. I still get to go out and see all my clients whilst being a mentor to new CAREGivers, making sure that they feel fully supported.
My role as Deputy Care Manager sees me heavily involved in scheduling visits and liaising with clients, their families and other healthcare professionals to ensure every aspect of their care runs smoothly. Coming from an airline background, delivering great customer service is at the heart of my nature. It’s very important for me to get to know each of our clients and CAREGivers personally. By fully understanding their needs, we can ensure that we respond quickly to any changes.
