Guardian Angel Carers - Chichester

I have lived at home with a live-in carer for 18 months now. During that time I have has many carers ( well over a dozen) and they have all been excellently trained and made me feel "special". It has been interesting to learn about their own lives and the places they've come from, as well as them taking an interest in both me and my family. Some of the carers are not accustomed to cooking, " traditional" or simple Eglish food, however.

Guardian Angel Carers work hard to meet the needs of their clients. They work to the highest standards. Their communication is very good. The only area for improvement is to mail out the weekly care rotas earlier so that clients without access to the internet can discover when their carer will arrive on a Monday morning.

Carers are respectful, conscientious and professional. Home has a caring vocation. They seem on occasion under time pressures as a result of too tight a travel time between calls, even without congestion on roads. This can affect the level of care delivered, but as a rule, this is not to the detriment of the client. Supervisory visit good - but talking in front of client on other matters should be discouraged.

We have used Guardian Angel Carers for six months. They are very well organised, and communication with clients is excellent. We have has a variety of carers, all of whom have been very competent, caring and have taken the trouble to familiarise themselves with the patient's medical history, and interests. They always arrive on time, and we are notified well in advance of any changes to the rota. Carers are kind, sympathetic, very patient, and we feel they are competent to deal with any emergency.

Today, mum has been with a Guardian Angel Carer, to see the GP, and shared with my sister that it was all good. I have no doubt that without the Angel who visited today, this would have been another mother unwilling to go. We thank this carer a huge amount for her support for mum today, and for Guardian Angel, who have provided some reliable, supportive, and great care this year for mum. Their great service hasn’t just made just a ‘small’ difference, they continue to do so, each day they attend, and Mum looks forward to them visiting and helping her. From us, we thank you all immensely.

I have been delighted with the care I have received. Guardian Angel Carers have saved my sanity by providing night care for my husband who has Parkinson's with dementia. The staff have been responsive, pleasant and helpful. All the carers who have come overnight have been experienced and I have been very happy to leave my husband in their care. I recommend the agency wholeheartedly.

I cared for my mum alone for many years until it all became too much and I was struggling to cope. It was extremely hard for me to take a back seat and even more difficult for mum to allow others to care for her. Every Angel that has visited mum has been amazing and I am now able to go to work each day knowing that mum is in safe hands and will be well cared for. My mum’s quality of life has been greatly improved by the positive attitudes of the Carers and the exceptional care that they provide.

Brilliant service overall.

The office staff are polite and helpful but there needs to be more communication between them and the carers. Not getting rotas or notified of changes to rota.

Overall the level of actual care is good. The office people are not always obliging in responding to calls re times of arrival and changes in the rota.

Since employing Guardian Angel Carers in April, we have been very pleased with our main carer. She is always on time, polite and extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. She is a pleasure to know and we look forward to her visits. Cover, when she was away on holiday was a bit unpredictable but we coped.

I am very happy with the care I receive and my carers are very kind and chat away about current and local things which are happening and often having a good laugh. One thing which would be helpful from the staff is if they could let me know if there is a change of carer coming, who it is and what time to expect them.

Good care and very kind and friendly. Always on time.

I had a belated hip replacement at the beginning of July and the Guardian Angel Carers - Chichester came 3x to help me shower and put my TED socks on. They were always punctual and pleasant. If they have time, they will always ask If there is anything else they can do to help which is very useful.

Great stuff, they go above and beyond. Helpful and friendly.

A sympathetic, caring and efficient carer enabled me to have respite without worry. My husband has dementia.

Guardian Angel has been providing our son with 24-hour care in his home. The carers are well trained and look after him with understanding and empathy as well as with high professional standards. The office responds to our queries in a kind and thoughtful manner, although they are sometimes a bit slow in returning phone calls.
