Our team of carers have meant that my husband can stay in our home, and I can have valuable time to meet friends and do what I wish to do. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your review, enabling people to stay at home with their families and treasured possessions is at the heart of our person centred care. I will be sure to let your team know that they have really made a difference to you!
Our carers have become friends and we look forward to their visits. This unfailing good humour lifts our spirits. We much appreciate their suggestions on how to improve our general well-being and marvel at how quickly they understand and remember the somewhat eccentric details of our daily routines.
Thank you so much, we really do take the time to get to know our clients. Our "no strangers" policy and the efforts to match clients with carers means that we are really well placed to form special bonds whilst always putting our clients and their families' needs and objectives first. I will be sure to pass your kind words on to the team.
We have an outstanding overall Care Manager. In July she persuaded the Social Services to provide my Mother with a much-needed replacement 'hospital' bed after 7 months of discussions. The overall Care Manager is always available and receptive to any issues that may arise. For example ensuring that where possible and practical all of her team follow a consistent approach with my Mother who has Alzheimer's. The Overall Care Manager also makes every attempt to meet our needs, e.g. providing earlier morning care when needed and also ensures the Carers provided are well-matched in personality and approach to Mum's needs.
Thank you so much for writing such kind words which I will share with your care manager, we really pride ourselves on offering a premium service where our care is completely person-centred. Thank you once again.
The carers are very caring and helpful and will do anything I ask them too. Very helpful, pleasant, and kind. My two carers have become my friends.
Thank you so much, it is lovely to hear you have built such a strong relationship with your carers! Our no-strangers policy puts trust and companionship at the heart of everything we do! Thanks once again, I will pass this 5* review on to your team.
I have a good team of carers, no job is ever too small, anything I need doing they will do, I am very lucky to have them.
Thank you so much for your review; we pride ourselves on having a team of carers who will always go the extra mile to enable our clients to live happily and independently. I will pass your kind words on to the team.
We would highly recommend Right at Home to anyone needing care in the home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review, I will pass this onto the team that look after your mum. As Dementia specialists we really do understand what it means to be able to return peace of mind to families and loved ones to the people we are caring for. We always try...
I was delighted with the way management and carers rallied round when I was suddenly discharged from hospital recently.
Thank you so much for your five-star review, it really means the world to our carers and I will pass your kind words on to the team. We really value the relationships we build with our clients, which is why we find a minimum of one-hour care calls absolutely essential. Thank you once again.
My father has been a client for 4 years. After an initial period of a variety of carers alternating, we are now in a very satisfactory position of alternating two carers. This works very well. Both carers are very caring carers. They provide a very friendly, emphatic yet professional service. Thank you.
I will pass your kind words on to the team!
We genuinely could not have asked for more from the carers.
Thanks so very much to all of you.
Thank you so much for your wonderfully kind words, all of our carers live and breathe our core values of Trust, Compassion, Respect and Quality and I can see from your review these have been shining out. I will pass on your kind words to our incredible team.
The care which can only be described as marvellous due to the team of carers and staff who always do what they say they are going to.
Telephone messages are always responded to and if I need help, advice or even sometimes just someone to talk to, the manager is always available and one team member regularly phones me to make sure that I am alright.
This month my printer failed and the team organised, delivered and set up a replacement for me. This is care, I did the right thing in asking for Right at Home for support when I came out of the hospital.
Now aged ninety, finding the words I want to use is not easy, all I can say is, thank you all at Right at Home.
Thank you so much! We love working with you and your team of carers think very highly of you. Each person enjoys seeing your cards and art to organising the printer was a real pleasure. I will pass your kind words on to the team.
When making the very difficult decision for my father to move into a Care Home full time the team at Right at Home supported me and provided the help and guidance that enabled me to make the right choices.
I cannot thank you all enough for everything you have done for our family.
Thank you so much for your review. I know how much the team of Dementia specialist carers have enjoyed working with your whole family and your kind words will mean so much to them all.
I highly recommend the services of Right at Home. I look forward to the visits of the team and to the help and unfailing support they provide. They help me with my e-mails and with other clerical chores they are always kind and generous with their time and I always look forward to their visits and feel happier afterwards. I have no criticism at all, look forward to many more weeks of their service.
Thank you so much! The team love coming to visit you and are so happy to help you with all the support and tasks you need to do around the house. I will be sure to pass these words on to the team.
A team of regular caregivers have always been professional, kind and reliable.
All the team were interested in Mum, her life, likes and interests. This is a very important aspect in caring for clients and Right at Home did it admirably.
I will be sure to pass your kind words on to the care manager and her team. Thank you once again.
Right at Home have provided my dad with outstanding care and support, it's enabled him to live happily at home and given me peace of mind that he has caring and understanding people visiting each day. The carers go above and beyond expectations and I would highly recommend their services.
Thank you so much for this lovely review - I will be sure to pass this onto the team. Being able to support your peace of mind is invaluable and we always aim to exceed expectations. Thanks again.
Due to my great aunt's ill health and frailty from coming out of hospital, progress has been slow but the care she has been provided with has definitely met her needs to date.
The carers have always supported my great aunt in a person-centred manner and she would definitely not be as well as she is now.
The care has enabled her to still be in her own home and to have the familiarity of friends and relatives that visit as they always have, this has been particularly important since her formal diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.
My great aunt has been fortunate to have continuity of care from the same carers that understand her as a person despite the illness, enabling her to be herself despite her illness in as much as this can be supported and enabled.
I will pass your kind words on to the team that supports your great-aunt.
Thank you once again!
Wonderful ladies, willing to do anything, including filling bird feeders as difficult with a broken wrist. They were all quick and efficient and so friendly - it was nice to have a chat while they were peeling fruit or slicing bread. Personal care is not required, so I would call them helpers rather than carers.
Thank you once again!
I have found Right at Home Guildford and Farnham to have provided me with exceptional care and support. I cannot praise them enough. I have never had a care session cancelled and my carer has been amazing. She is so caring and kind. My husband is able to relax at work when he knows she is here with me.
It is so wonderful to hear such good feedback about our carers, I will be sure to pass this on to our team! Thank you for taking the time to write this.
Right at Home has supported my sister in her home and community for four years throughout the stages of her dementia until very recently when she was admitted to a nursing home to be nearer to family. The care and support given was excellent, with management receptive to ideas to support staff and service users. All interventions were provided in a highly professional manner by caregivers. Office staff contact was again delivered in a kind and caring manner. I will always be grateful to Right at Home.
Our team loved supporting your sister in her home over the course of four years, it was a real honour to help someone stay at home for as long as possible. I will pass on your kind words to the team. Thank you so much!
Right at Home in Guildford has been providing a service to my mother since the start of the year. They have always provided good, well-trained people who have helped my mother in doing key things such as getting up, washing and breakfast in the morning and getting ready for bed in the evenings. In addition, if they have spotted problems they have informed me of them such as when my mother had a fall. They tend to get the same people to visit her as much as they can each day so that my mother has familiar faces coming in to help her which is very pleasing. I can thoroughly recommend them for their very caring and professional service.
Thank you so, so much for your recommendation for our wonderful team of carers. Our no strangers policy is essential to our company values and ethos as well as creating a family feel service. Our minimum of one hour calls means that not only can we help with practical tasks we can also take our...
I feel so fortunate to have the care needed for my mum provided by Right at Home. I can honestly say in the year and a half that we have been with the company, there has not been one carer that has not provided my mum with the best care possible. Although apprehensive at first, my mum has developed some lovely friendships with all her carers and looks forward to their visits. They treat her with respect and dignity and are extremely skilled at knowing when to provide support and when to step back to enable her to maintain her independence. It’s extremely hard and upsetting when a loved one becomes frail or ill, requiring support from others, but it gives me great peace of mind as her daughter to know that whilst I can’t change her diagnosis, she is provided with the highest quality of care which enables her to have the best quality of life possible. Please can I pass on a huge thanks to all her carers who make such a positive difference to the lives of so many. You are invaluable!
Thank you so much for this wonderful review of our incredible carers that helped support your mum to live as independently as possible at home. I will pass on your kind words to the team who I know think so highly of you and also your mum. We know how difficult the decision to work with a care...

Meet the Team (17)
Alastair realised back in 2012 that homecare was a very rewarding way to work within his local community and was successful in joining the growing team of Right at Home local owners/operators.
"My role has changed significantly since I started the business in 2012, Alastair explains. "From being involved in every activity of the business to now having an amazing team that does all the hard work. I am still involved in defining our strategic plans, overseeing the values and culture of our business and leading the senior team."
"Although it is great to receive amazing feedback from our clients, I think the most rewarding part of my job is to support team members to fulfil their potential and grow their careers at Right at Home."
Alastair described working at Right at Home as rewarding, varied, and safe.
Rhys joined the Right at Home team in 2021 as Head of Finance & Business Development, after realising the difference Homecare can make to individuals. Rhys' job allows him to "oversee all finance-related activities and ensure the business is building partnerships with local authorities, communities and businesses in the local area." Since then, in the summer of 2025, Rhys got a promotion to Deputy Manager Director!
"Completing business-wide financial processes from KPIs to payroll to management accounts. There is nothing more satisfying than implementing a new process and seeing how that affects business performance. "
Can you share a bit about your background and what you did prior to joining Right at Home?
Before joining Right at Home I worked in the promotional merchandise industry. Anything you could brand, we would print. We operated as a global solution meaning I had the pleasure of working on US, Europe and Asia timezones. I've always worked in finance ever since leaving sixth form and have a real passion for understanding how everything works from the economy to budgeting.
What inspired you to join Right at Home?
Knowing what this industry gives back was key to my decision. Having close relatives worked in this sector I knew exactly what feeling you get when leaving and going home. That feeling of a job well done. Of really making a difference to someone. I say it to everyone I come across, certainly ex-employees from my time in the City. This role is incredibly rewarding, and I wouldn't change it for the world.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I'm always looking ahead. Strategically thinking about ways to grow the organisation and improve processes to increase efficiency. I spend time catching up with the CareGivers to discuss pensions, holiday pots or budgeting. From a client's perspective, I make sure that they continue having the best quality homecare that puts our name on the map.
Can you share a memorable moment or achievement that you have experienced as a caregiver?
I assisted a client with an old printer they had. When I say old, I mean 22+ years old. Not the kind of printer you can pick up from your local Currys or Argos. Both myself and the branch in question made it our mission to get this individual printing again (as they make the most wonderful cards that EVERYONE enjoys). We sourced the printer on eBay. Negotiated a price. Received the item and made sure this was all setup for them to start using straight away. Its still going to this day! The way I can tell is because everyone in the office has received a Christmas card!
What’s your hidden talent that (until now) most people don’t know about?
I can speak Spanish. I used to be fluent after spending 5 years of my childhood living in Tenerife.
What’s your favourite thing about working with your colleagues?
We are all just so, so different. In my previous role, it was very sales-driven and sales-based, meaning we had one mould of person. Here it is completely different. I think everyone here has done care in the past, and I love just how enthusiastically they speak about the sector. It's infectious!
Claire’s return to college and her desire to ‘give something back’ were the key motivations that kick-started her career in care. Today, Claire oversees the compliance across all four of our territories. Claire’s role is vital in ensuring that Right at Home delivers the highest standards for everyone involved - our clients, caregivers, and employees. Her dedication to this is truly inspiring.
Can you share a bit about your background and what you did before joining Right at Home?
I am a proud mother of four and someone who values lifelong learning. After taking time to focus on my family, I returned to my studies as a mature student, which led to my degree in social work. Following that, I worked for a charity for several years, where I was able to make a meaningful impact by supporting unpaid carers and families.
What motivated you to pursue a career in caregiving?
My caregiving journey has been shaped by a lot of personal experiences and life events. Supporting my elderly grandmother as she aged was a big part of it - it showed me how much of a difference a little care and compassion can make. As a mother of four, I’ve always been in the role of looking after others, and when I went back to school to study social work, it gave me a deeper understanding of how to support people in meaningful ways.
What inspired you to join Right at Home?
Their commitment to providing truly person-centred care. Right at Home focuses on quality care by offering hourly visits. This means we have the time to build real connections and provide the support people need without feeling rushed.
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day for me starts with checking my emails and completing any necessary admin tasks. I often visit other offices to make sure everything is on track and offer support as needed. No two days are exactly the same, but that’s part of what makes it so rewarding.
What do you enjoy or find most rewarding about your role?
What I enjoy most about my role is visiting the clients and seeing firsthand the difference our carers make in their lives and the impact they have on their well-being. I love listening to the carers and hearing their stories about going the extra mile, it’s a privilege to be part of a team that genuinely cares about making a difference.
What’s your favourite way to unwind after work?
Crocheting

Her dedication never goes unnoticed, and she is truly the glue that holds her team together.
Can you share a bit about your background and what you did before joining Right at Home?
I have worked in a marketing role for 20 years, the majority of which was in the promotional merchandise industry. Before this, I was at university studying Art History!
What inspired you to join Right at Home?
I loved the Right at Home company values, which are strongly aligned with my own and that it is a growing company which genuinely wants to do good things for people, whether it is the clients, their families or the carers!
What does a typical day look like for you?
I feel like there is no typical day for me! My role is so varied, which I love!! I can be doing anything from working with my team on recruitment or marketing strategies to making calls to carers to check in on their well-being. I work a lot on our internal and external communications and generally aim to make Right at Home the best place to work for everyone!
What do you enjoy or find most rewarding about your role?
All of it. I love my team, and I love seeing carers and clients, and when they are happy, I am happy.

Adriana made a significant career change when she became a carer. She initially joined as a CareGiver, where her outstanding hard work, recognised by everyone, led to her promotion to Guilford's Registered Manager. No one deserved it more.
"As a registered manager, I am responsible for overseeing home care services provided to clients in their own homes. Key responsibilities include: supervising and supporting caregivers, and performance management to ensure high-quality service is delivered." Adriana then highlights that she "ensures the services comply with regulatory standards and requirements, maintaining accurate records, and preparing for inspections"
For Adriana, the most fulfilling aspect of her job is "making a difference" and "knowing that our efforts help clients maintain their independence and live comfortably at home. She explains, enabling them to achieve their goals is both powerful and motivating.
When reflecting on her amazing 10 years of working for Right at Home, Adriana describes it as rewarding, heartwarming, and empowering.
Vicky has been with Right at Home since 2020, and during this time, she has become a valued team member, consistently putting the team and her work before herself.
"As the care coordinator and care supervisor, I schedule the visits for the clients and carers. I liaise with clients and their families, from initial inquiry and throughout their time with us." Vicky continues to explain that she also "carries out reviews and helps to keep support plans up to date, making sure clients get the very best care from our team. I support the team daily, always on hand if they need help."
Vicky explains that "being a part of the team is very fulfilling. All working together to make sure everyone has the very best experience with Right at Home."
She highlights Right at Home in the following three words: fun, satisfying, and inspiring
Eve’s return to the care industry in the winter of 2024 led her to the role of Live-In Care Coordinator, where she has naturally flourished; her journey with Right at Home began in 2018 when she joined as a CareGiver. After a small break, Eve returned to join the office team, embracing the opportunity to continue giving back while overseeing the Live-In CareGivers. With her firsthand experience as a CareGiver and her compassion, there is truly no one better suited for this role.
Please provide a summary of what you do in your job role:
As a Live-In care coordinator, I schedule visits for our Live-In clients and carers. Carry out reviews with clients and their families to ensure we are providing them with the relevant care, and I update support plans to echo this. Carers are carefully selected for their clients so we have a good match of personalities and preferences.
Working for Right at Home stems from a deep desire to make a positive impact on our clients' lives. The dynamic nature of care, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth, can be inspiring.
Driven by empathy, a sense of responsibility and a commitment to improving the well-being of others, working in care offers both personal satisfaction and a chance to contribute meaningfully to the community.
Fulfilling, Supportive, Fun

'I was sent to a ward to assist with a one-on-one dementia patient, who was disoriented and wasn't aware of where she was or who any of the staff were. When she saw me, she thought I was someone she remembered from her past memories, and I was able to settle her to the point she fell asleep holding my hand for over 4 hours. I did not leave until the end of my shift, and luckily, the family had arrived whom she remembered. It was a small achievement, but one that has never left me. That little bit of compassion went a long way for her.'

Kelly has demonstrated many years of dedication to Right at Home since joining in 2016. She is a much-loved team member and an inspiration for both her work ethic and loyalty.
As a Senior Care Coordinator, Kelly is "responsible for ensuring that all schedules for all areas go out in a timely manner, overseeing the coordinators for all areas to ensure that every area is working the same way, having weekly meetings with all the coordinators." Kelly adds that she is "responsible for ensuring that all new care enquiries are called and the information is uploaded and assessments are booked." Additionally, Kelly keeps the management team informed by sending various reports and analytical information each week.
For Kelly, "building the relationships with the carers, clients and families" is what she finds most fulfilling.
Being a part of the Right at Home team for Kelly is: Rewarding, challenging, and supportive!
Anya first joined the Right at Home family in Autumn 2023, taking on her very first role as a Carer at just 18 years old. For about a year, she made a difference every day, providing person-centred care to her clients.
Anya briefly explored a different career path as an Activities Coordinator, but she soon realised she missed the fulfilment of being a Carer and the Right at Home team. Luckily for us, she rejoined Right at Home, excited to reconnect with her wonderful clients. Less than two months after her return, the perfect opportunity arose! Anya was promoted to Care Coordinator for the Guildford team; with her firsthand experience as a Carer, who better for the role!
What motivated you to pursue a career in caregiving?
"I’ve always had a natural instinct to help others, and I’m definitely drawn to roles where I can genuinely make a difference in someone’s daily life. My family always encouraged me to try a career in care. Caregiving allows me to build meaningful connections, offer companionship and provide support to people when they need it most. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that even the small things I do can have a big impact on someone’s well-being and quality of life!"
What inspired you to join Right at Home?
"What drew me to Right at Home initially definitely and what brought me back is the company’s commitment to promoting independence for clients and their values. From day one, I have felt valued and supported as a team member and this allows me to do my job confidently and gives me so much motivation to push and be the best I can possibly be. The high standards we have as a company and genuine care for both clients and carers really stood out to me, and I knew it was a place where I could grow and thrive in my career."
What does a typical day look like for you?
"A typical day for me starts with checking my rota and preparing for my visits. Each visit is unique, and every one needs something different, but I often support clients with personal care, medication and mobility. However, my most important thing is companionship. I will always make time to chat and emotionally connect with clients and their families, which is just as important as the practical side. I keep notes updated, communicate with the office if needed and always aim to leave each visit knowing the client feels cared for and respected. If I can make them smile even once, I will leave feeling good. I am still new to my role as a coordinator, but solving problems and offering support and communication with our amazing team and clients is something I am familiar with and excited to continue doing."
Can you share a memorable moment or achievement?
"One memorable moment was supporting a client with dementia who rarely engaged with anyone. Over time, I built a strong connection with her, and one day she surprised everyone by recognising me and giving me a hug when I arrived. It was such a small moment, but for me it meant the world and reminded me how powerful consistent compassionate care can be. We enjoy every visit together now, and it makes me so proud that we were able to break through that barrier and have her feel comfortable and safe. The difference in her has been amazing to watch."
What are your interests or hobbies outside of work?
"Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my family and my lovely boyfriend. We enjoy going for walks and exploring new places together. Living in the countryside means we get to unwind in the garden or relax in the hot tub, it’s the perfect way to switch off. One of my favourite ways to relax is curling up on the sofa with my dogs, watching a good TV show, and enjoying the little moments with the people I care about most. I truly believe it’s the small things in life that make a big difference. Having these hobbies helps me stay balanced and brings even more positive energy into my work."
Do you have any pets? If so, what?
"I have 2 miniature dachshunds, they are my world. We also have 2 rescue dogs, one of which has 3 legs! And we have a beautiful horse."
What’s your hidden talent that (until now) most people don’t know about?
"I'd say my hidden talent is remembering the tiniest details. whether it’s how you like your biscuits arranged or your favourite radio station, I love making people feel seen and remembered."
If you were stranded on a desert island, which three items would you want to have with you and why?
2. A Kindle loaded with books, so I’d never get bored (I am hopeless at telling people I’m going to start reading more and never doing it!).
3. A never-ending snack stash. This may not be realistic, but being stranded sounds stressful, and snacks make everything better.
Kirsten joined Right at Home in 2023 as a Care Administrator, where she brought with her two years of experience as a CareGiver herself - who better for the job! Her hard work and positive impact on the company quickly led her to a well-deserved promotion as our Finance & Enquiry Executive. Kirsten is now the first point of contact that any of our potential clients engage with, and she is more than happy to answer any questions. She always goes above and beyond!
What inspired you to join Right at Home?
"I was inspired to join Right at Home because of its strong reputation for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. After gaining hands-on experience in caregiving and working my way into office roles, I wanted to be part of an organisation that truly values both its clients and staff. Right at Home stood out to me because of its supportive culture, commitment to professional growth, and focus on making a real difference in people’s everyday lives. I felt it was a place where I could continue to grow, contribute meaningfully, and be part of a team that genuinely cares."
What does a typical day look like for you?
"A typical day for me involves handling enquiries from potential clients and their loved ones, providing them with information about our services and helping them feel supported from the very first contact. I also assist the Finance Manager with various financial tasks, including processing invoices, chasing outstanding payments, and supporting payroll. In addition to that, I help with general office administration and ensure that both our clients and care team receive the support they need to keep everything running smoothly. It’s a varied role, and I really enjoy the balance of people-focused work and behind-the-scenes responsibilities."
What do you enjoy or find most rewarding about your role?
"What I enjoy most about my role is knowing that I’m helping to make a positive difference in people's lives, even if I’m not providing direct care. Whether it’s supporting a family through the first steps of arranging care, or ensuring that finances and payroll run smoothly behind the scenes. I find it especially rewarding when I can reassure potential clients and their loved ones during those first, often emotional, conversations."
What's your favourite way to unwind?
"My favourite way to unwind after work is to enjoy some quiet time, either by watching a good film or going for a walk to clear my head. I find it really helps me switch off from the day and recharge. Sometimes, I’ll catch up with family or friends, which always lifts my mood and helps me feel refreshed for the next day."
What’s your favourite thing about working with your colleagues?
"My favourite thing about working with my colleagues is the supportive and collaborative environment we have. Everyone is willing to help each other out, share ideas, and work together to solve problems."

A little bit about Ciara:
Ciara has been passionate about care from a young age, beginning her career in the sector at just 18 - she worked in a residential home for seven years, dedicating herself to supporting the elderly, before stopping to have her firstborn. Ciara’s passion for helping others stems from her childhood, during which she cared for her Nan. Reflecting her commitment to putting others first, Ciara joined Right at Home in 2020 and has flourished ever since - her hard work and dedication were recognised when she achieved a distinction in her Level 3 qualification, earning her the Apprenticeship of the Year award!

The answer is that we are looking after people who need our help, and we ourselves are a great supportive team.
