Overall Experience
Home Instead provided exemplary care for my father. They helped him wash and dress for the day, made breakfast and assisted with his medical/personal needs. In the evening they prepared his meal and drinks, assisted with medical/personal needs and helped him to bed.
All the ladies were competent, caring and diligent, quick to let us know of any issues and make helpful suggestions. We had full confidence in them. They adapted quickly to changes we let them know about.
They were lovely with Dad, developing a wonderful relationship with him. He was relaxed and comfortable with each one, such a testament to them, as during this time my step mother died and he was grieving. Despite all he was going through they managed to keep his spirits up and even make him laugh.
They helped us too, easing our load in a stressful time.

The team in the office were excellent, keeping in contact and responding quickly when needed. The Birdie app was very helpful for the family to see how he was getting on.

Overall Experience

Great care for my father-in-law over the past 18 months. The care providers and the office staff took the time to get to know his needs and deal with any challenges that they were presented with. Visits were rearranged to accommodate taking him to doctor or dental appointments, nothing seemed too much trouble. Any concerns raised were listened to and dealt with accordingly. A special thank you to his carer who must have the patience of a saint! Highly recommend Home Instead.

Overall Experience

I had two different workers look after my wife for three hours twice a week. It was only when she went into full time care that those sessions ended. I was very satisfied with the way the two ladies dealt with my wife who with advanced dementia could be difficult at times.

Home Instead looked after my mum and dad for years. My dad was quite tricky but they always found the right person to look after him before he had to go into a care home. Everyone from office staff to carers have been fantastic. Definitely a big shout out to one staff member in particular who has been the most amazing support to me on the phone. Thank you!

Overall Experience

Carers from Home Instead were crucial to my recovery after my left hip replacement operation. Recooperative care was excellent. Team attendance was ready to help with any tasks, and the care manager was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process.

Overall Experience

Home Instead cared for my father performing a number of duties over 21 months after our mother died until Dad had to go into a home. If there was a problem or he needed something the office informed us. Both his main carers were kind, patient and very helpful entertaining him and endeavouring to ensure he ate his breakfast. Had it not been for the efforts of his main carers, I am sure Dad would have had to go into a home earlier than he did. Home Instead had been recommended to us by relatives of other users and I recommend them to friends requiring care assistance for their relatives.

Overall Experience

Home Instead has proved to be the perfect choice to help with the care of my mum. The staff were extremely helpful and caring from the beginning, taking the utmost care and consideration in pairing my mum with the ideal match of carers for her needs. Each of the carers that visit her has been very kind, caring, and considerate and become good friends as well as being extremely professional. The regular follow-ups and reviews of her care are most helpful too. I cannot praise the whole staff across the board more highly and would recommend the company to anyone needing care.

My mum began using Home Instead around 2019 to provide lunchtime visits at the weekends and also took her out to lunch one day a week. As her health declined we used Home Instead more and over the last couple of years they visited Mum 7 days a week to provide a cooked meal and do her housework.
Myself and my family will be forever grateful to the staff of Home Instead for the kindness and professional care they provided Mum.
Never less than 100% professional they never once let us down over the years even during covid.
They made Mum her favourite meals and would help her eat and drink and sit with her at lunchtime chatting or looking over old photos which my Mum loved.
Without Home Instead, my Mum couldn't have remained in her own home which she loved.

Sadly Mum passed away recently at the age of 90. I truly believe that without the care and dedication provided by Home Instead, we would have lost her far sooner. Thank you. I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead.

All the carers looked after my Father brilliantly. He enjoyed their company. All are very friendly and understanding. Any problems were resolved quickly. Their help gave me some time to myself as I was his full-time career. Would recommend it.

When my daughters suggested to me that I might benefit from some care I have to admit that I was very apprehensive not knowing what this would entail, but I could have been more wrong. After some research, we contacted Home Instead and arrangements were made for a co-ordinator to call. A delightful lady arrived and I immediately felt at ease it surprised me that she spent a long time waiting to hear about me and my life. I realised this was with a view to making the best possible match with my carers. The next visit was to meet my two chosen ladies as we sat sitting and I began to get to know the different personalities I realised we already had much in common. At first, I was unsure about the tasks my carers would do for me but they were perfectly happy to do anything I asked which made me feel at ease. It is very reassuring for my daughters to look at the app and see how I am doing. I am looking forward to seaside trips and the carers and icecream with my ladies both of whom assure me that they will love it!

I and my family wish to thank the Home Instead Care Team for their kindness and support to my wife and me over the past few weeks.
Their help with dressing, bathing and feeding ensured that my wife was made as comfortable as possible in her own home until her passing.

Looking after someone can be physically and emotionally demanding, but the presence of the carers gave me support and practical advice when I needed it most.

The ladies allocated to my parents were special people who did their utmost to support and care for my parents, for which I am extremely grateful. I have previously used other care agencies. I have been using Home Instead for nearly three years. They are the best care service I have ever had. I am genuinely amazed that Home Instead keep my calls at the same time every day, whereas previous care providers could never do this. There is consistency in my care and carers. Carers are well matched to my interests and needs and the office staff are supportive and communicate well with me. The carers all seem very happy in their work.

I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead very highly.

My mother-in-law used the service of Home Instead whilst living with us. The service provided was excellent and the member of staff allocated to my mother-in-law was really nice, we were extremely grateful to her.

On the admin side of things, this was also very good, emails were answered promptly and any issues were resolved very quickly.

I cannot thank the lovely ladies who cared for my father whilst he was still at home enough. They were all wonderful with him and arrived promptly at the same time each day, which was important to our father. They got to know him very well and spent a lot of time chatting with him as well as dealing with his ever-increasing needs. I would highly recommend them.

Last pay increase has been crippling. Had to cut back on hours, not a very caring move by yourselves.
Cut back on office staff and management.

If management don't have to work they are paid too much.

Overall Experience
Home Instead provided Care Professionals to look after Mum from April 2021 through August 2022. The Care Professionals got to know Mum and she got to know them despite her ailing memory, providing companionship to her and reassurance to me as I live a couple of hours away.
Whenever I visited the Care Professionals were chatting away with Mum and helping around the house.
The Care Professionals also did Mum's shopping as she's not at all mobile.
The Home Instead Care Team were also very responsive and helpful on various occasions when changes had to be made, sometimes at short notice.

Overall I am very impressed and happy with the service from Home Instead.
