Manorcourt Carers have looked after my sister for several years now, and their work has always been of a high standard. They are polite and cheerful, engaging my sister in a lot of conversation, which she enjoys. When she gets agitated and anxious, they are able to calm her down and reassure her. They will read the newspaper with her and help and encourage her to do jigsaws, to keep her occupied.
Carers are meticulous with the preparation of her complicated medication, as pills have to be crushed and liquids thickened, and careful records are kept. They also prepare puréed food, blending fresh ingredients, when possible.
Having a group of regular Carers is good for my sister. They wear smart uniforms, and always wear masks, in the present situation.

The office staff keep us informed if there are any changes to received rotas, and they are extremely helpful in dealing with any requests.

Overall Experience

Transferred from a single call to a double and unable to move under own steam, having complete strangers in and out each day was a terrifying thought. The Manorcourt staff put me at ease immediately. They are kind and very understanding and I never feel uncomfortable or embarrassed during any procedure. Most days sped by and I get such a great feeling of well being with all my immediate daily deeds dealt with. The staff, female and male, young and old, leave me happy and renewed for the day ahead. The impact of the virus doesn’t seem to have affected the staff to any great extent and one must assume they have family and friends that must cause them moments of extreme worry but they deserve the highest praise for their considerable stamina and professionalism.

Overall Experience

The care I receive is fab and I get on with all my carers and they understand me for me. They ask me if I need anything and they go over and beyond and I love the care I get, they are a fantastic team.

I have found Manorcourt to be responsive and active in managing the care of my elderly mother. The office and field staff go out of their way to provide the level of service needed for my mother to be able to live as safely and independently as possible.

Overall Experience

Previously my father had just come home on Palliative care. I have to say that when this happens, the care that my Father received in the last 12 days of his life were amazing, it was lovely that the carers came in and just treated Dad with so much respect and compassion it was lovely to see. My Mum and Dad were both in the same room, Mum had her own carer who along with my Dads they just did an amazing job. In the last few days of my Father's life, he was in so much pain, but the Carers just treated him with dignity and care, it made it all so much easier for me and my Mum. I cannot thank them enough for this, till he passed away, I knew that he had the best last few days of his life. The care my Mum has is amazing once again, caring and respect for her, and respect how she likes to be treated, they are always happy and cheerful, towards her and me. It makes a big difference when you can accept them into your home and feel they are like a family, that means a lot to us, Cheers.

I am very happy with the care I receive from my present carers. I always look forward to them coming as they are always so bright and cheery. As I am now pretty much housebound, they are often the only people I see. They are always very respectful and brighten my day.

All Manorcourt Homecare carers have been wonderful. They are natural and friendly with a good sense of humour, extremely caring, professional and bring joy to my husband.
They have shown respect, put my husband at ease and allowed him to maintain his dignity.

I feel that my needs are generally well met, as detailed in my care plan. Any changes to my needs and medical conditions are dealt with promptly and efficiently. The care team I have are usually regular and try to keep to their timetable. I am usually informed if my care worker is running late by the office. New members of my care team receive shadowing from my experienced team and they are able to support me fully. My careworkers treat me with dignity and are patient and friendly towards me. Any issues are handled with consideration by the office staff who endeavour to meet my needs and deal with any requests.

Having changed from an unsatisfactory agency, I found Homecare staff very caring and very sensitive to my needs. While the staff have worked so hard during a period of more clients and less (and changing) staff, when the standard of management should be of a higher quality.

Most of the carers are good but some are extremely efficient. Some have a more caring and understanding nature.

Sometimes timing can be an issue but all in all very satisfied with the service provided for my mother. A carer can sometimes arrive very early and are apologetic but was really no good to my mother. This relates specifically to the evening call.

I'm very satisfied with the service I receive from my carer. Just half an hour each morning and a pleasant little chat to start the day. The carer invariably arrives on time and if there is a delay I usually receive a phone message to explain why!! What would we do without them?

The carers arrive as per booking details but if they have an emergency they ring us to arrange a different time, ss my case is not essential and can be delayed by a day as they wash my legs, clean them and put on socks.
