Mandy has an NVQ Level 3 and is a dementia champion and started working at Manorcourt Homecare in 2008. Mandy decided to work at Manorcourt Homecare as she fancied a change in career from childminding and thought caring for vulnerable people would best suit her personality.
Prior to joining Manorcourt Homecare, Mandy looked after children, running her own business from home.
To be good in her role Mandy believes you need to be patient, be a good listener, be honest, trustworthy and willing to work to deadlines and thrive on stressful situations.
The favourite part of her working day is meeting new people out in the community. The biggest professional challenge in her current role, was becoming a dementia champion, which she found quite challenging but was worth all of the hard work. Her biggest career highlight to date was being nominated for the Kathy Underwood award and given a trophy.
Outside of work Mandy enjoys gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Kathy is looking forward to watching the business grow and meeting lots of new people.
