Our family has been consistently impressed by the care Inchwater Care Home gave our mother. Inchwater organised sessions for her, trips out, helps with shopping, long walks and just sitting quietly in her home. But when she fell, the carer took her to the local injury unit. They introduced personal care to a person who was fiercely proud and took some persuading but she came to really appreciate what they did for her. The carer sent her a postcard whilst she was away on holiday which made my mother feel valued. Later she suffered a serious stroke and the Inchwater carer visited her on her own initiative, at the stroke unit. Inchwater tailored a package of care to suit my mother's needs and were extremely perceptive in assessing her needs throughout the weeks she was able to stay at home. Sadly our mother has now had to move into a residential care home but I am convinced Inchwater's input allowed her to stay where she really wanted to be...'her home'.
and above all, professional in their care, support and advice.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.
We have used Inchwater for almost 2 years to help assist with my mother’s Alzheimers and vascular dementia and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
They have supported and encouraged her to continue to do the things she loves, like gardening and riding whilst showing compassion, patience and knowledge during her decline.
I don't live locally but I’m always confident that Inchwater safely manages her drugs and medical appointments, and most importantly my mother trusts and feels comfortable around them.
I have found all my carers kind, considerate and capable in every way and ready to go that extra mile. The management are all very careful to employ caring people and I cannot find any fault with them. I have already recommended them to a friend who is also very happy to be one of their clients.
All my carers have been helpful and kind to me. I would recommend them to anyone who needed help.
This service supports not only me but importantly my daughter who is able to now have more time to herself. The combination of my daughter's caregiving and Inchwater Home Care services is enabling me to stay in my own flat.
A truly compassionate provider of care who go above and beyond every time. As well as providing outstanding care to my dad they have been there for me every step of the way and I can't thank them enough.
We have been using Inchwater Home Care to care for my mum when we go away for over two years. Mum and I like the flexibility of the services they provide. I can go away knowing mum is looking forward to seeing the carers. The carers are both professional and caring. A big thank you to the team.
Inchwater Home Care cared for my husband during December 2016 and January 2017. The care, compassion and expertise were second to none. They have my deepest gratitude.
Inchwater provides care of the highest standard, yet also have time to support the family of their client. The staff have become friends to mum but they never lose sight of the fact they have a job to do. It's always apparent that mum's in charge and the carers do as she asks and not what they think she needs. The lines of communication are always open with the management and they regularly visit and review the situation. Most importantly, mum feels cared for.
Inchwater Home Care helped my family care for my terminally ill dad during the last few weeks of his life. In addition to the care provided directly to my dad, Inchwater supported my family with our routine day-to-day tasks, allowing family members to spend more time with dad than would have otherwise been possible. The professionalism and the compassion shown by each member of the Inchwater team were, in every respect, as one would wish for and expect under such circumstances. I would have no hesitation in recommending Inchwater.
I have been a carer for my Partner since 2013 since when he has been recovering from a serious road traffic accident. The support both of us have received from this company to help with his rehabilitation is of the highest standard both from all of the staff at the office and the person who has been allocated to be my partner's support worker. There have never been any problems, nothing is ever to much trouble and the level of care is excellent.
Caring, competent, compassionate - Inchwater is a first-class care company. They provided palliative care for my father during the last weeks of his life when he was suffering from a devastating terminal illness. The carers were totally patient-focused, treating my father with respect and allowing him to retain his dignity. They wrapped him in a blanket of love, care and comfort and did whatever they could to alleviate his suffering and ensure his sense of well-being. They became friends of our family, supporting us all practically and emotionally during a very sad and difficult time. Without them, we could not have coped. Their commitment and dedication far exceeded our expectations and we are grateful for their professionalism in caring for my father and for their kindness towards him. With their help and support, we were able to care for my father at home until he passed away. In the days that followed Inchwater staff remained in touch to help us with our bereavement. Simply amazing!
As a registered health care professional myself, I can highly recommend the care team at Inchwater Home Care. We initially asked them to provide some companionship for my mother in law but soon after our initial contact, we found out that she was terminally ill. Inchwater Home Care cared for her when she came home from a hospital stay. They were compassionate and caring and communication with the family was excellent. We live 6 hours away but when she deteriorated, they stayed with her for hours into the night until we could get there. The level of commitment displayed by the Inchwater Home Care managers and the team goes above and beyond. Even when she was admitted to the hospice, they continued to visit out of the goodness of their hearts and they provided a huge amount of support to the family. The level of service they provide is not primarily driven by finance but rather a good old fashioned desire to actually care, Thank you so much to all of the team at Inchwater Home Care.
The team from Inchwater have been caring and conscientious from the start. They are professional, supportive and provide an excellent service. Particularly helpful has been the fact that they ensure my husband gets the same carers - this means that they get to know his needs and are able to offer a consistently high standard of care. The company managers are pleasant, friendly and approachable, and are at the end of the telephone if I have any questions.
Inchwater have been providing cares for my mother for over a year. We had an initial meeting with them, to discuss our requirement, followed by a home visit. This was the first time my mother had needed a carer and was very reticent and wary. However, she, and us were soon put at ease and a plan to care for her put into action. Since then it has been rejigged without any problems. This has been very impressive as well as using the same carer, whenever possible. The carers are very friendly and efficient and do not need any cajoling into doing any work, they see that it needs to be done. I am pleased with Inchwater especially compared to other companies we have dealt with, my mother-in-law. We are confident to recommend them.
The service provided was excellent at all times. My father was treated with dignity and respect by Inchwater. They were happy to assist with advice and answer my many questions even if my questions were not directly related to the care carried out by Inchwater. As a rule, I don't write reviews of services but felt compelled in this instance because I am so pleased that my father's last days were made as comfortable as could be and that he was able to die at home rather than in a hospital thanks to the existence of Inchwater.
The manager, his wife and all their staff provided a calm, caring atmosphere for my husband. When they left he felt relaxed and as comfortable as possible. They made thoughtful and helpful suggestions regarding his care and medication. All the staff were really kind to him.
Excellent care service. Always turned up on time, empathetic with the care needs and comfort of the patient, good skills all round, good communication i.e listening and explanations. Enhanced the dignity and comfort of the patient.
Very helpful, cheerful, clean, could not fault her.
