The care given to my mother-in-law is fantastic. The carers treat her with such patience and kindness. Always trying to make her comfortable, even on days when she is being difficult. She initially had one visit a day, which last year was increased to two due to my health issues. If it was not for the Aberness carers coming in, then we would be unable to care for her, and she would have to go into a home.

When I have a social, my carer gets me involved in simple games and tasks, I find it very stimulating.

Aberness Care cared for my late mum for 2 years after her diagnosis of vascular dementia and we could not have managed without the care and support they provided. The carers were so kind to my late mum and to my dad and did everything they could to help. They treated them both with such respect and when things gradually became very difficult they carried out all aspects of personal care for my mum with great sensitivity so that at all times she maintained her dignity. We were also impressed with the management team who were very professional and helpful. They actively tried to accommodate both my late mum’s needs and the needs of our family during a very difficult time for us all. This has been my only experience of using a home care provider and I really value all that Aberness did to support my parents - both practically and emotionally. They provide a first class service which is very much value for money.

Great friendly service and I would recommend them to anyone looking for care. My son is very happy with the care that’s provided to him and if he’s happy I’m delighted. Aberness Care has been a godsend for us.

Having carers in to attend to Mam has taken a lot of pressure off family. The carers are very professional and caring taking time to have a chat with mam. It helps when it’s mainly the same carers each time and Mam has got to know them.

It is comforting to know that someone comes to assist with personal hygiene and care by someone I can trust and have confidence in. Both carers are friendly and helpful. I am pleased with the level of attention I get from Aberness Care Ltd and their carers.

Aberness Care Ltd has been absolutely amazing with the care needs for my Mum and Dad. From the very first conversation with Aberness Care Ltd they totally got what was needed in our unusual setup. Both parents are eighty-seven with significant care needs, both physical and mental, and the staff totally recognised that I needed a break from caring. We appreciate the flexibility with which they support us, often providing cover with short notice, in addition to the regular and amazing holiday respite cover. Aberness have provided excellent standards of care since Mum began her contract with them. We are particularly grateful for the flexibility, understanding, and hard work done in preparing for the festive season, to ensure that Mum's care was fully covered. Aberness carers are real diamonds too - they manage to remain professional whilst also being an invaluable part of our family.

I have had a very good experience with my carers since I started with them in 2020. Nothing to complain about, as I have had regular girls for my care.

Generally staff are friendly and we chat. If something extra is needed they will do it for me. Staff are overworked and are often much later than expected in the morning.
