The care my mother receives from the caregivers at Home Instead is very professional but also natural and caring. Each caregiver has their own way with Mum so she gets a good variety of contact. They are all very good at keeping me in the loop with any issues that arise.
Carers from Home Instead takes my mother out twice a week for two hours (4 in total) for companionship. Carers are punctual, friendly and caring. Mother enjoys the company and the experience of going out on short trips.
My wife suffers from vascular dementia.
The service we get from Home Instead is excellent - 3 days a week - two hours per day allowing me to go shopping - gardening etc.
I have already recommended them to others.
Well done Home Instead Milngavie!
The two regular carers are both sensible and kind, non-intrusive and willing to help. They are patient with our peculiarities and put things back where things belong
My parents have been clients with Home Instead for nearly 4 years. They have required a variety of services and levels of care. Without Home Instead my Dad would not have been able to be cared for at home. I have found the managers very responsive to all needs, problems with care delivery and really in touch with clients needs in a most sensitive way. Any issues were dealt with, and that managers were able to be and indeed were hands-on when needed. The team we had were wonderful, all very different people with different strengths.
My Dad passed away at home in Jan 2019, in the last week we needed overnight care. Home Instead managed to cover this with very little notice. All the staff sent at night were new to us. By this stage, I was also staying overnight. My observations at the time were that the staff, while caring and so kind, were not confident and did not have the skill set to deliver end of life care. This was ok, as I was there and needed a 'pair of hands" overnight.
We are very happy with the service that they provide.
The lady who comes to me gives a wonderful service and I couldn't ask for better.
The whole team in the office keep in touch, in fact, I had a Christmas visit from them.
As long as they are there I shall use them.
Always punctual, reliable and caring.
Care provided is of a high standard. Carers are carefully chosen to match the needs and personality of service user. Carer displays the essential qualities required to deal with an elderly user. Excellent communication with the user and family.
I appreciated that it was a small group we saw regularly and that even in a short time, we got to know them well. The care given to my husband was sensitive and his physical needs were met.
Equally important was the care given to his mental well-bing.
There was understanding of his dementia and much patience, kindness and tolerance was shown.
The carers did their best to talk to my husband about his interests etc when there was little response they didn't press it.
However, he did appreciate some gentle banter. We didn't know when we started with Home Instead that he had only a few weeks to live but the carers did much to make his last days as comfortable as possible.
I think the offer of someone to sit with a client while the main carer goes out is very valuable.
Pleased with the service provided since October 2016 when I returned home after 4 weeks in hospital.
I am a temporary user/client of Home Instead, being with them for 3 months. I have found them to be considerate, courteous and efficient. They employ carers of a high standard and place great importance on matching carer to client. They have done so very successfully in my case. I am very happy with this company.
My mother received excellent help and support from the carers who were all very kind, patient, efficient and reliable. They developed a good rapport with my mother and were always friendly and courteous which my mother appreciated. Office staff dealt with questions and additional requests promptly and effectively.
I arranged care for my 91-year-old mother as she refused NHS care vehemently! Home Instead have proved to be extremely professional while flexible and understanding. I cannot recommend them enough, they 'paired' my mother with someone who can deal with her difficult and demanding personality and it has worked wonderfully. As I am abroad a good deal of the time - it puts my mind at rest to know Home Instead and there to step in at any time and also to keep a regular check on my mother. Thank you Home Instead!
The care my Mum gets is personal to her. She actually thinks that her carer is part of the family and has known her for years. In the midst of less personal visits from social services this is a visit she looks forward to. For our part as a family struggling to care and cope with dementia it has quite simply changed our lives and lifted a burden from our shoulders.
Excellent service provided by all the girls and regular updates and actions, they are a fantastic service.
Everything is going as well as expected, my mother is very happy and comfortable with all the girls and that is the most important thing. We have changed the times a few times and this has been dealt with in a professional way and to our satisfaction. All in all we are perfectly happy with the level of care mum is receiving.
