Very helpful service and nothing is too much trouble. Were always willing to arrange extra visits at short notice and so polite and kind. Just lovely to deal with.
My aunt is being cared for at the weekends. If there have been any issues, they have always been addressed immediately. I have used other care agencies and I feel Home Instead are excellent and I have recommended them to friends who are looking for care for their relatives.
Excellent. Time and care readily given to listen, assess and suggestions given for building on care.
The management and staff of Home Instead have surpassed our expectations with their care, thoughtfulness, professionalism and empathy. Without exception, the caregivers treated my Mum with genuine warmth and kindness and helped to make the last months of her life happy and contented.
I would not hesitate to recommend them and my family and I will always be grateful for the superb support they gave to my Mum and us during a difficult period.
Home Instead is one of the rare agencies I have used during the last 6years where not only do the office staff and the front line carers work as a team but also work as a team with my own employees. All their employees work to an extremely high standard but they actually truly care and not only look after my physical well being but also my emotional one. They have never let me down and never fail to communicate with me regarding any problems. They bend over backwards to be there for me and have never let me down. Any carer they ever send to me cares not only physically but also with their hearts. The level of care they provide is truly exceptional.
One of the many tasks the regular Monday Carer helps Mum with is her bath which has got increasingly difficult for many reasons. Mum told me how impressed she was. The carer is patient and very caring and nothing is too much trouble for her - Mum's words. She has been visiting her for over 2 years and has watched her decline in many ways. She anticipates situations well. Mum does trust her which I think says a lot. She still always manages to do the chores we have requested as well. Couldn't ask for more.
My wife and I have been very impressed with Home Instead since requesting them to provide care for my step-mother and father. Their communication with us and our parents has always been very good. They put real effort into matching appropriate carer staff to the clients. The carers themselves have always been pleasant and never seem rushed. There is such flexibility in the service and it certainly gives peace of mind to a family like us who are not nearby. We continue to be glad we chose Home Instead and would happily recommend them to others.
Home Instead have been helping to care for my Mother in Law for the last six months. We chose them because it was immediately clear that, to them, Mum would be a person and not a "task", and that her care was as much about companionship as the practicalities of helping with food, washing, medication etc. We have a great working relationship with the team of carers, who are excellent at letting us know (via notes) everything from how Mum has been feeling, to telling us we need to get more food for the dog! There is also fantastic communication with the management team too, all with a very personal touch that shows they genuinely do care. It has given us a real feeling of security to know that Mum has that support. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Very good service. I don't need any personal care, only changing my bed and shopping. This is taken care of by Home Instead carers.
Very helpful and friendly.
Home Instead are an outstanding Care Provider. Their caregivers have been looking after Mum for over 18 months now and they are consummate professionals. The standard of training, the attention to detail, the flexibility, professionalism and kindness of all of the staff has impressed me greatly. They go to great lengths to tailor the support to the individual, to be patient, respectful, caring and friendly at all times. If you are looking for a care provider for yourself, a relative or a friend, look no further - you will not be disappointed!
Mum has had the very best care while we have been visiting Home Instead. Everyone from the office to the carers have all been very helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
In the short period we have used this agency, my wife and I have been impressed with the friendly and efficient help we have received.
Thank you all.
First class service for my Dad that went over time from 2 support visits a day, eventually ending up at 24/7 care as his needs evolved over time. All staff were professional, knowledgeable and caring.
My father's now moved closer but my brother and I were having to travel hundreds of miles to see him, so we looked to Home Instead to provide company and reassurance when we weren't there. Dad's Home Instead visitors were carefully matched to him and soon he came to call them his friends. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and efficient. The Director and the team were also very flexible. Sometimes we needed somebody to check dad's prescription had been fetched or take him to the doctor and you could depend on Home Instead finding somebody at short notice. No problem changing arrangements at the last minute either. I have recommended Home Instead to friends with parents who don't have great care needs but can use a friendly watchful and dependable visitor.
We have always found the care given to be of an excellent standard. The carers are cheerful, respectful and confident in what they do. I find this confidence extremely reassuring.
The carer is punctual and polite. She is willing to cover jobs that may vary on each visit. I am happy with her visits.
Very satisfactory.
His two main carers are lovely, always on time, never rush, treat my husband with dignity and very much as a person, make him laugh and chat to him. Their kindness and support for me makes a sometimes difficult life so much easier.

Mark has worked as a GP in Somerset for 30 years. During this time, he also worked for the government as an advisor on health policies and worked in industry-leading hospitals, diagnostic units, pathology and social care services such as home care.
Working in Home Care is what Mark is most passionate about. Ensuring that everyone has the best care, support and independent life where they are happiest can make such a positive impact on families. It has always been his motivation to get to know people and try and enable them to have the best life in their own homes for as long as they would like to continue to be supported.

One of his previous patients came up to him to thank him for all the support and kindness that he had shown during tough times all those years ago. The impact of his support had stayed with him all those years.
Mark is an avid sports lover, even if on the sidelines now, but sometimes he can be tempted to join in! He enjoys spending time at home with his wonderful family, dogs, cat and garden. Most of all, Mark loves people and likes spending time socialising whenever the opportunity arises.
