When my Mum's care needs increased to the point that we couldn't manage everything ourselves, we decided to look at options for additional support. After a lot of consideration, we decided to approach Home Instead Taunton to discuss what our options were. From the initial meeting, it was clear that the company designed the care package with my Mum's needs and wishes as the primary concern, and we were reassured that my Mum would be well looked after. Based on what we have witnessed over the last 6 months we could not have made a better choice. The management and staff of Home Instead have surpassed our expectations with their care, thoughtfulness, professionalism and empathy. Without exception, the caregivers treated my Mum with genuine warmth and kindness and helped to make the last months of her life happy and contented.
I would not hesitate to recommend them and my family and I will always be grateful for the superb support they gave to my Mum and us during a difficult period.

Home Instead is one of the rare agencies I have used during the last 6years where not only do the office staff and the front line carers work as a team but also work as a team with my own employees. All their employees work to an extremely high standard but they actually truly care and not only look after my physical well being but also my emotional one. They have never let me down and never fail to communicate with me regarding any problems. They bend over backwards to be there for me and have never let me down. Any carer they ever send to me cares not only physically but also with their hearts. The level of care they provide is truly exceptional.

My wife and I have been very impressed with Home Instead since requesting them to provide care for my step-mother and father. Their communication with us and our parents has always been very good. They put real effort into matching appropriate carer staff to the clients. The carers themselves have always been pleasant and never seem rushed. There is such flexibility in the service and it certainly gives peace of mind to a family like us who are not nearby. We continue to be glad we chose Home Instead and would happily recommend them to others.

Home Instead have been helping to care for my Mother in Law for the last six months. We chose them because it was immediately clear that, to them, Mum would be a person and not a "task", and that her care was as much about companionship as the practicalities of helping with food, washing, medication etc. We have a great working relationship with the team of carers, who are excellent at letting us know (via notes) everything from how Mum has been feeling, to telling us we need to get more food for the dog! There is also fantastic communication with the management team too, all with a very personal touch that shows they genuinely do care. It has given us a real feeling of security to know that Mum has that support. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My father's now moved closer but my brother and I were having to travel hundreds of miles to see him, so we looked to Home Instead to provide company and reassurance when we weren't there. Dad's Home Instead visitors were carefully matched to him and soon he came to call them his friends. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and efficient. The Director and the team were also very flexible. Sometimes we needed somebody to check dad's prescription had been fetched or take him to the doctor and you could depend on Home Instead finding somebody at short notice. No problem changing arrangements at the last minute either. I have recommended Home Instead to friends with parents who don't have great care needs but can use a friendly watchful and dependable visitor.

I have been using Home Instead for just over a year to provide care for my husband who has complex medical problems, physical and mental. I cannot praise too highly the support given to us both by his carers and his care plan manager. If I mention any problem eg. transport to hospital appointments,...
I have been using Home Instead for just over a year to provide care for my husband who has complex medical problems, physical and mental. I cannot praise too highly the support given to us both by his carers and his care plan manager. If I mention any problem eg. transport to hospital appointments, difficulties with mobility, they all look to try to find ways to help.
His two main carers are lovely, always on time, never rush, treat my husband with dignity and very much as a person, make him laugh and chat to him. Their kindness and support for me makes a sometimes difficult life so much easier.

She worked her way through the company, experiencing different avenues, challenging herself and eventually ended up as a Learning and Development Specialist across 3 busy high street stores in the South West.
Her role included training new recruits into the world of optics and audiology, whilst always leading by example.
Providing an excellent level of customer service is always at the heart of what she does.
When she had her first child, she became very poorly. It opened her eyes to the Health and Care sector, and how valuable good care is, and she knew it was something she wanted to pursue.
Hannah loves learning new skills and crafts and still can’t believe that she is able to embrace her artistic side by being surrounded by like-minded people and creating personal touches for her clients.
Hannah says that one of her proudest moments at Home Instead is making over 100 crochet poppies for all Home Instead’s clients on Remembrance Day, it will be a core memory she will keep forever.
In her spare time, Hannah thrives on being outdoors with her family and going to festivals. She loves any excuse to go camping and be with nature!

Before joining the home care company, Jinson honed his skills at a digital marketing agency in India, where he successfully managed a diverse portfolio of brands.
Outside of work, Jinson enjoys outdoor sports, particularly cricket and volleyball, spending time with his family, and exploring Indian restaurants in Yeovil and nearby towns. With his background in social care and digital marketing, Jinson is excited to contribute to the continued growth of Home Instead Taunton and take it to the next level.

Morgan is our new Reception and Office Administrator at Home Instead Taunton. Before joining us, she spent 7 years at Musgrove Park Hospital working in various areas, including the Maxillofacial Department and the Day Surgery Centre as a Theatre Assistant. After having her first child, she decided to transition into a role where she could make a difference in the community and contribute to improving the quality of life for others.
In her free time, Morgan enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring new places on long walks, and caring for her toddler. Recently, she adopted a kitten, adding to her lifelong love of animals, having grown up with horses, goats, dogs, and cats.
