My father had seniors helping him for the last few years of his life. He was 97 when he died and had lived independently but needed a little help in the last few years . He was reluctant at first but very quickly could not praise them enough . The seniors team were compassionate, but most importantly treated him with respect and dignity. They helped him achieve tasks he wanted to do but never took over , always listening to his needs and helping him to reach his goals . My father was a fiercely independent man so it was wonderful that he could carry on doing the things he loved with their attentive help. They also went the extra mile in accommodating unexpected emergencies and were always available when needed. Towards the end of his life their visits gave him a sense of purpose and he looked forward to their visits. My father if he was still alive would sing their praises and I and my brothers cannot recommend or thank them enough . They are outstanding.
Thank you
Without their support we wouldn't have managed to keep my mum at home so long. I would highly recommend.
Thank you, this means the world to us because we will always respect people's wishes to stay at home whilst they are able to.. whatever it takes
I have been very impressed with the organisation and support provided by Seniors Helping Seniors for my Mum in Canterbury. We selected this companion service and have been using them since February 2026, particularly because more experienced staff were used and the value that they placed on their employees. The weekly visits provided for my mother is welcome and gives me peace of mind as we do not live close by.
The staff are vey helpful, The administration is particularly efficient with communications being responsed to quickly. When we needed to adapt the appointments this has been done without complication.
I have particularly relieved that at short notice that a companion could be found to accompany my Mum to an emergency dental appointment.
The Portal is a useful tool to track the meetings and updates from the companion. Again there is always a prompt response in record keeping.
We honestly couldn't ask for a better service. The carers are professional, kind, and genuinely caring. My mum absolutely loves seeing the lady who visits her three times a week, and those visits mean so much to her. Mum would truly be lost without their support. It gives our family real peace of mind knowing she is being looked after so well. Thank you for everything you do.
Seniors Helping Seniors went out of their way to provide a top rate service for my wife. The procedure started with the owner visiting us at home for a discussion and to leave a questionnaire for us to provide details of my wife's likes, dislikes, past employment, hobbies and pastimes so that the carer could be carefully matched to my wife. Soon, a small team of carers was assembled, each one being introduced by the owner, and the team remained stable throughout my wife's care. When we went from two carer visits per day to three, the manager went over and above the call of duty to find the extra suitable staff. Each carer was kind, genuinely caring, professional and thoughtful, adding significantly to the quality of life of my wife and myself.
The Seniors Helping Seniors team provides excellent support for our mother. The carers are friendly, assist her with a wide range of tasks including ones she finds challenging and share useful advice with us. Importantly, Seniors Helping Seniors give my sister and me peace of mind, knowing that she is in good hands and enable our mother to continue living at her home.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences for others. Our carers thoroughly enjoy supporting your mother and we're happy all our advice has helped. Your mum is in the very best place.
It was a great relief to me when I returned from a day out to find my husband full of praise for the company of Tony who, he said, had been immensely conscientious and he was totally satisfied with all the assistance he had been given. Seniors Helping Seniors had introduced Tony to us the week before, which we found helpful and we would have no hesitation in calling for their services again.
Thank you for taking the time to write in to share your experiences. We are always delighted to help carers achieve some respite from their day to day. Tony really enjoys the time he spends with your husband too. We look forward to hearing from you again and we will be able to ensure the same carer.
They help her in so many ways from washing and dressing to accessing the garden.
They also very responsive to add an extra call if needed
Thank you for you help with mum xxx
Thank you for your kind review. The entire team is proud to be working with you
The carers have been very caring and reliable. They arrive the time they have agreed. They are very flexible if I have to change the days or times. I feel very comfortable with them coming into my home.
Thank you, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences.
My disabled husband has had many happy hours of fun, laughter and games with our volunteer. Once every 2 weeks he comes to chat and gives me a couple of hours to meet up with friends I havent seen for a while as I cannot leave my husband for long. Thoroughly recommend this well organised, professional team to add a little sparkle to both our lives.
Thank you. We are delighted to be a trusted partner for you both. Time for you is essential respite and we love our time together
With the portal as well, we are able to maintain up to date contact and communication on a daily basis which is also a great relief as I live so far away.
I would definitely recommend Seniors Helping Seniors and have already done so for another family member.
Thank you for your kind words. It's our privilege and pleasure to support your Mum
I had excellent communication with Sally from the start of contact. The request was for a companion to visit a client of mine at a Care Home. An on-site visit was arranged quickly and an assessment of the situation was acquired. Sally and her colleagues provided 1-1 support twice a week which worked very well and the set up of the support was very quick which was great. The companion support is currently on hold whilst the client is at her own home for a respite period to assess whether she can remain at her long terms with a care package, if she can, then I would have not hesitation in engaging the services of the companions again to provide consistency in care.
Thank you ! Means the world. We are thrilled with the decision to have our carers support a live-in team. A great outcome for the client and a testament to teamwork. Your unwavering commitment and determination is inspiring.
My mother only started companionship visits from seniors helping seniors in November 25 and her buddy was a perfect match for my mum forming a great friendship instantly with so much in common. Unfortunately mum was rushed to hospital via ambulance in January and had a pacemaker fitted. Although I visit mum daily I'd missed the symptoms and it was Linda on a buddy made me aware of my mums condition. I wouldn't have reacted without Linda. Both Linda and Vittorio stayed in contact concerned for mum's well being. This is much more than a job to Linda and much more than a business to Vittorio. I really can't thank them both enough. Since the buddy visits have started it's really improved my mums outlook on life
and his team are wonderful.
I have no hesitation in recommending seniors helping seniors, my brother and I live some distance from our mother so we needed a company we could trust and all the team at Seniors were amazing with Mum, she considered all the team her friend and nothing was too much trouble for them
Thank you for taking the time to write about your experiences with our team. And thank you for the opportunity to support you all.
My husband has a 2 hour walk and a break for a drink on a lovely walk that the companion has arranged, and is always happy and genial when he arrives. My husband looks forward to seeing him for a couple of hours a week, for different company and surroundings. The companion is always, kind, happy, polite and respectful, and fun.
Thank you! We appreciate you taking the time to explain how the respite works for you. I'm sure this will help others considering it. Take care dear.
The kind caring team make such personnel help just like it is being provided by a family member and they are very respectful of encouraging independence and only helping when requested.
We really are so glad we found the team - we would recommend them to our family and friend in the future and anyone living in the canterbury area.
Thank you so much! It's been a delight to support your family through this incredible milestone. We rose to the challenge to match carers who could support a young student life properly and discretely, and we're all loving it!
Seniors Helping Seniors have been caring for our elderly friend for some time. Without any family she would not have been able to care for herself and would have needed a care home. She loved the care she received and was very fond of each member of staff who came on the four days a week she received help with washing and dressing.
Thank you! We are delighted we were able to support through the stages to enable your friend's highest wishes to stay at home. We notice the four stars regarding costs, and just want to share our promise that we keep the costs as low as possible - our non negotiable is looking after and paying our amazing carers very well.
We contacted the service for help with my Father, in particular some social visits. The service was promptly set up following a home visit and the carers well matched. At the initial visit, all aspects were discussed directly with my Father to ensure he fully understood what was being proposed, as well as with myself.
Thank you, we are delighted to support you all and appreciate the time you took to share your experiences
Seniors Helping Seniors has provided companionship care for my mother for the past 18 months. The management team are highly professional but also delivers a very personal service. They are easy to contact and always return calls or emails promptly. The companionship carers who have visited Mum are of a very high standard. They are trustworthy, very caring, reliable and have build excellent relationships with my mother. They will always go the extra mile to help and support her. I could not ask for anything better.
Thank you, very kind of you to share your experiences with our teams- it is hugely appreciated.
