Wonderful service - lovely carers, they are doing such a great job. Mum looks forward so much to their arrival and is happy with all their work - absolute angels! They have transformed not only Mum's life but that of my sister, her primary carer.
Thank you, Neil; your review is a delight to read, and we have passed on your comments to our angels! We've spoken with the registered manager, and we are all on a mission to find out what we need to do to earn the final star from you! She will be in touch.
I knew my mother would never want to be put in a home. I knew at some point in my life I would need to move in and care for her. But trying to keep myself safe to be able to care for her and keep my frail mum safe from this terrible Covid has been really hard. My brother organised for someone from Seniors Helping Seniors to come and see me. This wonderful woman rested her hand on my knee and said it’s all right to cry. No one has understood my feelings as well as this amazing lady, and my goodness; she was such a comfort. And so we now have two lovely ladies who can cover the week and give me two hours each weekday for some me time. Mum doesn’t like or trust strangers, but right from the start, she showed no sign of feeling anxious. They come in and brighten our mornings, I can share any worries, and they are so knowledgeable I can sleep at night. They wheel Mum into the wet room for a shower, and I can hear them making funny noises and laughing. Nothing is too much trouble, and now the house and us sparkle happily.
Seniors Helping Seniors have looked after me after a knee replacement operation, on top of depression, which left me finding it very difficult to cope. I have been looked after very well, and so have my pets! I now feel ready to cope on my own but would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
Thank you, Jenny, and well done for recovering so well.
This company has been a big help with relief care and also whilst trying to rearrange a new care schedule after discharge from the hospital. Professional carers that nothing was too much trouble. Problem-solving and helping at short notice have helped with an easy transition back into everyday life.
Hi, and thank you for reviewing our services. It's our pleasure to help other professional carers with the respite needed for longer care visits, and we always do our best to fit in with the promises made to clients. Our own clients usually give us the full five stars, and if there is anything we...
I cannot recommend Seniors Helping Seniors highly enough. My mother had increasing difficulties that I was no longer able to manage myself. The lovely ladies treated her with the utmost respect in order to maintain her dignity at a really difficult time. Their patience and empathy were outstanding.
Thank you, Lesley, we appreciate you taking the time to review our services.
The provision of care in the home has many moving parts, not least the changing requirements of the client - my nonagenarian mother. Yet, regardless of the situation, Seniors Helping Seniors always take everything in their stride, without any delay or fuss. What I really like is that they are always considering what could be done proactively to improve my mother’s situation, before problems arise. This approach goes beyond the basic duty of care.
I live in the Far East, so regular communication with the Seniors Helping Seniors carers is critical. Without a solid relationship built on respect and trust, the ongoing care of my mother in her home would not be possible.
Thank you, Paul. We appreciate you taking the time to review us and the team, and we are honoured to be working with your mum and your family.
My carers are reliable and always willing to help me socially and with my daily problems and chores and are good company too!
Many thanks for all the help I receive from all your staff!
Regarding the company - all the communication I have had with them has been of very high quality. When I have made a request, they have replied promptly and to an excellent standard.
The staff are very friendly, and overall, I am so happy that I have chosen Seniors Helping Seniors.
Thank you, Belinda, we are very happy you selected us too!
I have been impressed with Seniors Helping Seniors from the very start. We are so glad to have found them, and the service has made a very positive impact on my mum's life and given her the chance to interact and socialise with people other than her family, which is very important, especially since lockdown. From our first assessment visit to both of my mum's lovely companions/carers, we can't fault them. Nothing is too much trouble, and I am able to change or add additional visits with ease. The admin staff are brilliant, friendly and very prompt in replying to requests. Everyone is very caring, and Mum always gets full attention. She looks forward to seeing her new 'friends' for a good natter, as well as help with light domestic chores. It really makes a difference to our week. Highly recommended!
Thank you Rebecca, we are so happy to support you all.
They seem very accommodating when we've needed extra help or bookings, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The carers all seem to be 'different' from those that we've used before with other providers, and my dad doesn't feel that they're just ticking a box with a flying visit; they help Dad with his needs on a 1:1 basis. Very impressed - thank you.
Thank you, we are delighted with your kind review.
My husband has had Alzheimer’s for around 8-years, and I have been his sole carer. As any carer knows, you have no time for yourself, and I had reached the stage where I needed just some me time. My husband has never accepted he has Alzheimer’s, so I needed someone who wasn’t from a traditional care company so he would look upon the person as a friend. As soon as I contacted Seniors Helping Seniors, we both never looked back. Their carer took my husband under her wing and kept him fully occupied and happy for a full 4-hours. From helping him exercise to playing the piano and singing and taking him for walks. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more. The whole company are so caring and understanding; you feel like an individual and not just a number. They were miracle workers for both of us.
Hi Claire, thank you so much for taking the time. You are amazing, and we are so happy to help.
Social services were no help at all, and after over 30-calls, Seniors Helping Seniors were the only company that made any effort to help.
The care received was excellent, and they couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating.
I would recommend every day of the week. Thank you to the manager and team for helping out in our hour of need.
Thank you Robert, helping people home from hospital is something we love to help with and we are happy it all went so well.
The carer recommended by Seniors Helping Seniors is just perfect. She visits Mum for a couple of hours a week. They play scrabble, go out for a little walk, and chat. More recently, Mum has moved into a residential home, and our carer still visits her there, and that's been a great help in keeping things normal while she settles in. They each consider the other to be good friends now, more than just a professional relationship. I think we have been extremely lucky to find Seniors Helping Seniors!
Thank you, Sarah, a friendly face to ease the transition into residential is something we are so proud of. Our carers really understand the whole process, and you can call us whenever you think it could help.
All the staff are very good at keeping me informed about any changes, and likewise, they are accommodating when I have asked for any changes to Dad's care plan.
I always know who is due to see Dad and when, so I can let him know if he forgets.
All in all, I'm very happy with everything they do, and so is my dad, which is what matters the most.
Thank you, Gillian, we love being with your dad, and we're always happy to work our schedule around his.
Mum found it quite hard to process all the changes that had happened in her life and part of her managing to do that was the calm, kind and intuitively helpful care she had from all the carers who came from Seniors - and one in particular who has become a true family friend to all of us. This lady 'gets' my mum and has become an integral part of her recovery from the heartbreak of losing my father and her family home. She now feels completely 'at home' in her little annexe - very much as a result of the loving care from the staff at Seniors.
Thank you for taking the time to write in Melissa - you've all been through so much. We really appreciate it and we love seeing your mum progress day by day.
When Mum’s vascular dementia was diagnosed, the consultant stressed the importance of mental stimulation, especially via mixing and talking, to slow down her decline. I honestly believe that the Seniors Helping Seniors’ team has made a significant contribution to Mum’s wellbeing. She is very happy to welcome them into her home and considers each one to be a friend.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
Thanks, Sue; we really appreciate you taking the time to write in with this review. We love being able to react fast to clients who need us to, and we're delighted with your recommendation to anyone else in your situation.
I am a retired Doctor who has used their service for over 1-year and probably 2-years. They try to give one person for one client where possible, who suits them, so providers and users become more like friends. They have extensive knowledge about safety, equipment, and local shops, so their advice can be very helpful. The providers will go out of their way to get something eg food, collect medicines in an emergency, or drive you if necessary to a hospital. The providers are invariably cheerful, kind, on time, and do their job very efficiently. In addition, now the management reminds you by email of the time of arrival of the provider, or if there has had to be a change of plan eg, for another person or another time, within 1/2 hour (rare).
Thank you Barbara for taking the time to review our services. It's our pleasure to help you. Thank you for bearing with the fluctuations in arrival time recently, our carer's recent operation has had an affect but she was determined to keep seeing you and we are glad you agreed!
I highly recommend this company; they are reliable and flexible and a world away from other services we have used. It means so much to have a regular person who turns up at a regular time! The range of services they provide from personal care, housework, driving to appointments etc is impressive, our lady is just amazing, and the office staff are quick to respond and very helpful.
Thank you David for your review. It means a lot to us especially as you'd tried other services before you found us!
When Dad was in hospital, they keep in contact to check on his welfare, but also ours as a family. If we needed to change visit days or times, this has always been accommodated.
Questions and queries are always dealt with efficiently and professionally.
I would highly recommend this company,
Thank you, Sara, for taking the time to talk about the careful matching processes here!
The staff are always on time when they visit mum, and it is the same-named person every day, which Mum needs for continuity. The staff at the office are always polite, and any queries are answered promptly. On the rare occasion that I have had to ask for alternative care visits, it has always been arranged with minimum fuss.
Thank you. We appreciate the time you took to review our services. Being flexible to our clients when their plans need to change is a priority for us!
