We are so grateful to discover Home Instead, the manager and his team. From the initial contact they have been nothing but professional and their desire to give the best care to their clients is evident. Our mum was reluctant to tell the "ladies" what she needed to do at first but soon there was an
established routine and she particularly enjoyed the social aspect which is so important to the elderly. The carers actually care and the usual ladies became Mum's friends. Thank you, Home Instead.

I initially contacted Home Instead as I could see my mum declining in mobility and the ability to do some things for herself. They were very professional and after a home visit to determine Mum’s needs with lots of notes taken, provided twice weekly visits from amazing staff! They couldn’t do enough
to help Mum around the home and gave Mum the companionship she loved. Attending at regular times and always arriving with smiles on their faces, it was just what my lovely Mum, who’s in her 90’s needed. Although I write this review after Mum’s tenure has ended due to a fall at home and sadly, a period in hospital where on discharge, her level of care needed to increase, I had Home Instead for a number of years prior. There are simply no negatives. I can honestly say, that if you’re looking for care at home for your loved one, look no further as you’ve found the most professional and personable company out there that can cater for your needs. They were amazing!

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Home Instead given the professional services provided to Mum. The carers were exceptional, and mum really looked forward to their visits twice daily. Always positive and empathetic during visits; they took the time not only to do the necessary tasks such
as cooking evening meals but always went the extra mile in getting to know mum personally; chatting with her about her family and sharing personal stories. Given that I live a distance away, my fond and reassuring memories were always hearing the chatter and laughter between mum and her carer coming from her kitchen during my visits.
The support and management team were exceptionally kind and considerate; approaching all communications with sensitivity and care. It was such a comfort to know that Mum was safe. The services of Home Instead allowed her to stay in her family home which was her dearest wish. My utmost thanks to everyone on the team.

The whole Home Instead team I encountered were incredibly professional and demonstrated genuine care for my mother's well-being at all times. With the strong culture driven by the manager at the helm down through his management team, I felt well supported even through some very difficult moments. My
mother has been suffering from Alzheimer's for some time which has been incredibly stressful, and you need strong, consistent support from people you can trust. At times, this team went above and beyond expectations to ensure situations were managed as well as possible and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Home Instead North Oxfordshire have been amazing in the short time they have been supporting my dad. They immediately put our minds at rest with their caring and professional attitude. My dad loves his visits and says that everyone is kind and would do anything to help him. As a family, we couldn't
be without their support and hard work. Dad is 93 and lives alone he would not be able to remain at home if we didn't have Home Instead on board. They really are brilliant. I highly recommend their service.

I engaged the firm to provide professional care, to an elderly parent. Home Instead provided a two-man team in order to provide consistency. I was impressed how calm and patient both ladies have been, but also really smart and perceptive. They both knew how to manage strong personalities with determination,
but delivered with real understanding and courtesy. They both possess a terrific sense of humour, enabling them to process occasionally tricky situations with great professionalism, and lots of sensitivity. Both Home Instead as well as the two carers have been well organised, and good communicators. They have been flexible and tolerant of mission creep. That said, Home Instead set out a detailed care plan at the outset in order to establish professional as well as personal boundaries. I could rely on each carer's excellent judgement and complete discretion in managing whatever arose. I would have absolutely no hesitation to re-engage them in another similar role in the future.

I was recommended Home Instead (North Oxfordshire) for my Mother-In-Law, over a year ago. My Mother-In-Law is ninety and has Vascular Dementia. She is a wonderful and positive lady, having lost both of her sons in 2020 to different illnesses and with no other children, and losing her own husband of
over sixty years in November 2020. Also, my Mother-In-Law has lost most of her eyesight due to macular degeneration, so is unable to enjoy reading which she loved. I cannot praise Home Instead (North Oxfordshire) highly enough. The lovely ladies who visit are not just carers but also great friends and companions for my Mother-In-Law. Not only that, but they take her out for coffee and hairdressing appointments, and enjoy friendly jokes with her, my Mother-In-Law has a great sense of humour. They have also been really helpful in arranging services at my Mother-In-Law's home to coincide with their visits such as a repair on an electrical item and a boiler service. Their help has really taken a huge strain off me as I work full time, but most importantly, I know my Mother-In-Law is treated with respect, dignity and loving care.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead who have provided care for both my parents over the last year and, as needs have changed due to dementia and increased frailty, the care provided has been flexibly adapted. Home Instead staff – both in the office and in the home – have been universally professional,
efficient, caring and kind. Carers liaise well with family members and some are wonderfully proactive in thinking of interesting things for my parents to do and coping with the challenges that dementia brings.

We’ve had Home Instead care providers visit our home for nearly 2 years to look after my 91 year old father. He looks forward to their visits which allows me to do other things, leaving him with the knowledge that he is safe and happy.
They have been a godsend, particularly through the pandemic which
was a challenging time for everyone.
I can whole-heartedly recommend Home Instead as a reliable and professional provision of nurture and care for a loved one.

Home Instead provides excellent companionship for the client who in his wife's absence, would become disorientated and panicky. The caregivers have been calm in a crisis, punctual and inventive. Clients wife feels reassured during her respite as client is comfortable in caregiver's company. There has
always been a good response when contacting Home Instead.

We started with Home Instead in February this year and we have nothing but praise for them. Everyone in the company from office to carer have been efficient, caring, knowledgeable and professional. Mum needs help showering and dressing in the mornings and has enjoyed the company of all the carers. The
care plan has been meticulously researched so all neeeds are addressed.

We first used Home Instead when my Mum suddenly died last year and my Dad needed support and initially companionship at home. My Dad has now recently been diagnosed with Dementia and we are so pleased that we had support in place. They have flexibly adapted the support and care needed for my Dad and
managed to find extra hours when we thought this would be impossible. From the very beginning everyone I have met and spoken to have been incredibly professional, kind, understanding and so efficient in setting things up and supporting my Dad as his needs have increased. Nothing is too big a problem for staff to solve and they are always very proactive and have offered useful advice moving forward with support plans. My Dad is forging good relationships with the staff who visit him and looks forward to each visit. Living a distance away it is a great source of reassurance to know Home Instead are there for my Dad and keep me regularly updated. Thank you Home Instead for all of your kind help.

The Home Instead team have been wonderful. My father is 92 with numerous medical challenges, all of the caregivers that attend dad are caring, amazingly helpful and go above and beyond in looking after dad. They also introduced the home aware monitoring system which gives us additional peace of mind.
I would unreservedly recommend Home Instead (North Oxfordshire).

We first met Home Instead in March 2021 when they began supporting my mum with companionship visits. From the very beginning, everyone we have met has been so professional, kind and completely on the ball; from initial reluctance to having help at home, my mum quickly started to referring to the team
as her friends. Fast forward 12 months and my mum's needs have increased significantly which Home Instead have fully embraced, I simply cannot fault them. Living a distance away, it is such a relief for me and other family members to know she is being supported by down to earth, genuine people with whom she clearly has a great deal of fun. The professionalism of everyone I have met or spoken to also comes across so strongly and it’s greatly appreciated that they monitor all aspects of my mum's wellbeing with such care, whilst also providing companionship and helping her live well. Thank you Home Instead, we are lucky to have you.

I very rarely write reviews, but I thought I would spend a couple of minutes completing this one, as the Home Instead team have done an outstanding job looking after my Dad. Everyone is helpful, happy and nothing is too much trouble. They communicate well with both my father and myself, whether that
is concerning an update, advice or general information.
I have been in the service/retail industries all of my life and it is a pleasure to have your team looking after my 94-year-old father perfectly. It shows that the team have been properly trained, have great standards and are well motivated.
Thanks Home Instead your efforts are much appreciated.

Thank you and all your team for the wonderful care and kindness during the past nine months. We will always be grateful to you all for helping us to keep her at home in familiar surroundings for the duration of her illness.
Right from our initial conversation with Home Instead, when we were feeling
our way about how we might manage, we were reassured by you that you could arrange all that she needed and that you would be able to change as time went on to adapt to her needs. This you and your team did with care, professionalism and a real understanding of what she and we needed as each day and week passed.
Once we were up and running with the care package we were immediately aware of the amazing abilities the team of people possessed. A vast reservoir of experience and talents which translated into her bonding with her carers and trust and friendship developed completely.

I have worked with Home Instead for over 15 months and if I had to summarise the organisation in one word it would be excellent.
If you are looking for a Home Care Service and are nervous about who to choose I am 100% confident you will be satisfied choosing Home Instead. I support a friend who had
been using in-house care after leaving the hospital following a stroke. He wanted to be more independent again but in a safe environment. Home Instead certainly provides this. From the first meeting when we discussed the most suitable care plan to the first day the caregiver arrived promptly at the agreed time (and has carried on over the past 15 months) the decision to appoint Home Instead has never disappointed.
Over the time of working with them, they have offered full support, professionalism and all-round genuine care for my friend. They are more than happy to share with you their wealth of knowledge and advice. Something I value very much.

Outstanding! From my initial contact over two years ago to the daily support, my dad receives the service is excellent.
My dad has dementia and bowel cancer. At first, he was resistant to care back in May 2019 but now he regularly tells me how he likes all of his carers, they are all good and how he
does not know what he would do without them!
The support I have from the managers and office team at points of crisis and decision making is second to none. They show empathy yet the safeguarding of their clients is paramount. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead, North Oxfordshire. You may find cheaper but you won't find better.

I initially made contact with Home Instead roughly a year before we needed to use them. I was extremely impressed by a member of staff's knowledge and she was not at all pushy. I asked her lots of questions and she was happy for me to come back to her when I needed them.
Forward a year and I was back
and a home visit was arranged with the manager to my parents home with me in attendance. My mother was totally against having anyone help her and with a lot of persuasions (from myself and my brother) finally agreed to start with help at lunchtime. She very quickly looked forward to the visits, chats, help with lunch etc and then agreed to help with teatime!
The care staff arrived at the correct time - no lateness or going early and did what had been previously agreed. The office team were very efficient and never were we left without anyone turning up.
Sadly dad died in July and eventually mum needed to go into a care home, however, I recommended them to a friend whose mother is also now happily using them!

I have worked in varied roles for a number of years, but after experiencing the need for care and support for my own parents, and the difference that extra support made to them both, I joined Home Instead in North Oxfordshire in 2018. I loved visiting my clients and progressed from CAREGiver to Senior CAREGiver and then to Field Supervisor in 2020, and am now in a training role.
