Home instead have been caring for my aunt for the last 12 months which enabled her to stay in the home she has lived in for over 60 years. I have found them to be a caring, reliable and professional company and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who needs caring and help at home.

It is always a very distressing time to hand over some of the care of your loved one to someone else. However, this transition was made seamless by the team at Home Instead. My husband’s needs were assessed in advance which gave me confidence that my husband would be well looked after, giving me peace
of mind and that much-needed break to recharge. My husband always enjoyed the visits twice a week and I always came home to him laughing and enjoying himself. Similarly, he was sometimes taken out for a few hours to places which would interest him, thought of in advance by the carer, to maximise enjoyment and stimulation. I will never forget the kindness shown by my husband’s carers at what was a very difficult time. They were friendly and approachable and nothing was too much trouble. It is so important to have people you can rely on and trust to care for your loved one as you would want them to. Thank you.

Mum and dad have adjusted so well so having the care givers visiting twice a day. I’m sure this is due to the caregivers themselves. They are always so cheerful and relaxed. It’s so reassuring for the family to have the lovely ladies (my mum and dad's words) visiting. We are kept informed of any concerns,
ie cold callers arriving on the doorstep and mum and dad seem a lot happier and look a picture of health.
Thank you so much for all your help and support.

We have been very happy with care of our 99year old with dementia. His care plan was accurate to his needs and updated and adapted conscientiously by staff. The staff were up to date with training and would often suggest ideas from recent courses they’d attended. We felt that he was in very safe hands
when out and about with the staff. They all took the trouble to find out about his likes/dislikes and organised interesting outings which he thoroughly enjoyed. They were very reliable - always arrived on time with good back up from the office staff who would ring if there was an unavoidable delay or for reporting issues during an outing. The staff would write up visits conscientiously so we knew what he did/ ate and enjoyed during the visit. It was a well managed excellent service that was of great benefit to the whole family. Thank you so much.

I can't recommend the manager and his team highly enough! They have brought happiness and laughter back into Mum's life, while also providing excellent care. After meeting Mum once, the manager understood her dementia and anxiety and was able to match her with a caregiver with whom she bonded immediately.
This was a huge relief to the family, as Mum does not easily accept carers, and we needed respite care so Mum's live-in carer could take daily breaks. Now Mum really looks forward to her visits from her Home Instead carers. The care they provide is suffused with friendship and compassion, and they have helped Mum re-engage with the creative world that she loves; singing, dancing and drawing together.

My brothers and I have also found it wonderful to have the manager and his team as partners in Mum's support. It is obvious that they really care about their clients. They go the extra mile when we need it, and their regular feedback and advice has been invaluable as Mum's dementia progresses.

It is impossible to praise the staff at this company enough. I do not live near my Mum (who has a degenerative disease), so it is key for me to know that she is being looked after in a caring, respectful and organised way. Home Instead do all of these things. The ladies who visit my mum have taken the
time to get to know her and show genuine kindness and empathy. The office staff and directors provide a thoughtful, efficient service and can be easily contacted outside office hours. I was really struggling to find reliable, high-quality care before and it caused a great deal of worry. The care provided by Home Instead has pretty much transformed my mum's life and allows me peace of mind.

Home Instead have facilitated keeping Mum at home when we really could not have managed it. Providing high-quality carers who became Mum's friends, as well as carers, meant we really didn't have to worry about her daily care needs. Home Instead did so much more even after carers had left, making doctors
appointments, sorting medications and monitoring her progress, I feel they went above and beyond what we actually paid for. Providing continuity of carer meant even with dementia Mum felt safe. Nothing was ever too much trouble for staff, and they looked out for Mum in all aspects of her care. I cannot speak highly enough of them. Big thanks to all the team.

I was so appreciative of the quality of care given to me by the staff of Home Instead. The management is recruiting and training supervisor staff which creates a pleasant atmosphere with the client. I looked forward to their arrival and enjoyed their friendliness. Their work was efficient and helpful.
I would certainly recommend Home Instead to anyone needing senior care.

Dad, adamant didn't need anyone in first thing in the morning. We just needed assurance he was up and about. He eventually relented and we were very pleased with care dad received. He was treated with dignity at all times. He did come to look forward to his morning visitor and liked the carer who was
allocated. We as a family could only get round in afternoons so we needed to know he was out of bed and had his breakfast. Thankfully we did have someone in first thing as dad had fallen in bathroom and was found by carer. Without her calling in he would have been there until the afternoon. She looked after him so well and waited with him until help came. The company and staff all so very professional. Listens to all our concerns re dad. Always answered emails too. Highly recommend.

Since becoming physically disabled, using one of your carers has made a huge difference. Many things we take for granted became impossible for me to do, now thanks to my carer my life has improved. Making my bed, housework, shopping, collecting prescriptions are just a few things my carer helps me with.
The great thing about your company is I have the same carer every week, I’ve got to know her and her me. It makes such a difference particularly when my health is worse.
Everyone in the office is so helpful, directors and the staff are efficient and care - and it shows.
The positive difference having one of your carers in my life is huge. I’d thoroughly recommend your Company, in fact, I already have. A massive thanks to you all, I don’t think you realise the difference you make.

Home Instead provides my Mother with a first class care service, helping her get up and go to bed on a daily basis. Her carers are always cheerful, helpful, gentle and kind to her are mindful and sensitive to her deteriorating state of dementia. They are great at raising awareness of how she feels on
a daily basis, prompt me if she needs new clothes/household goods and keep her in good spirits. I couldn't recommend them more highly. The office is also very efficient and acts quickly on any requests.

I am very happy with the care my mum receives from Home Instead. I live 3 hours away from her so it is an enormous relief to know that she has high-quality care that we can rely on. She has the same care worker every time which helps to build a relationship and the office staff and communication could
not be better. She needed a bit extra care recently when she came out of hospital and she got the support she needed. Very supportive staff, thank you very much.

Home Instead have been providing care to my parents since October 2016.
Both of my parents have dementia and, prior to Home Instead getting involved, life for them was quite chaotic. But getting them to accept any help was a repeating challenge. After much perseverance by the carers, my parents
now look forward to their visits and are managing a lot better - my father takes his medication regularly and, they eat properly.

Home Instead works hard to recruit carers who have real empathy for their clients and are prepared to go the extra mile. We have found that the model of providing companionship over a longer visit is rewarding for the carer and the client alike.

A key part of our Home Instead experience is the enormous support and advice that the directors and the team provide to my brother and me, alongside organising the actual care of our parents. We feel that we really are in a partnership with Home Instead and that we are all working together to achieve the best quality of life possible for our parents.

I would like to say that everybody at Homeinstead, from the manager and his wife and all the carers that looked after my Mother when she was alive, are wonderful, loving, considerate people. They all can be trusted completely to give care when it is needed and looked after my Mother with love in their
hearts. If they care for others like they did my Mum then please be assured of their commitment and trust.

Can't recommend them highly enough. This is extremely well run. We had a thorough initial meeting and regular check-ups by care managers. Staff all very well trained and the restricted number of different people assigned (no more than four in total) meant that my mother, who latterly suffered from Alzheimer's,
was not always seeing different faces. They spent an hour morning and evening initially doing whatever my mother needed them to do, and my mother was very happy with all of them.
Later she needed round the clock care and Home Instead provided respite care for the permanent carers coming in for their breaks every day. The care managers went above and beyond to make sure everything was in place, even collecting and delivering eye drops from the pharmacy when supplies ran low on more than one occasion, and one of the carers collected other medicines from the village shop every week. Responses to any queries were always very quick - we would heartily recommend their services.

I would and do highly recommend this care agency. We have been using these carers now for over two years. Their care, compassion and professionalism are second to none. The carers we use have made such a difference to my mother's outlook in life since she lost her partner two years ago and they too
gave him the personal care to enable him to end his life in a dignified and comfortable way. It is not just my mother that benefits but also the whole family to know that I can trust leaving her in their care to enable me to work.

My father is 91 and moved in with my family in September. Home Instead help him with personal care twice a day, am and pm. Our caregivers are all really lovely people, who always treat dad with respect and thoughtful care. He enjoys their company and because they stay for an hour it means they have
time to chat and help dad without rushing him. They are never late and if they haven't finished on time they don't quibble about leaving bang on the hour. They are very considerate when they arrive, fitting around our sometimes chaotic family home! From my point of view I really appreciate the support I get from head office. It's great to have knowledgeable people at the end of the phone if I need to discuss a concern regarding dad. Their attention to detail regarding following medical staff's instructions regarding the application of creams and support stockings etc has been very impressive. There are so many care companies it's tricky knowing who to pick. I am so glad I chose Home Instead.

My husband had been receiving daily personal care and companionship up to his entering a residential care home, following a worsening of his ft dementia condition, in August this year. Right from the first day, some two years previously, he had been in receipt of first class care and friendship from
the very professional, compassionate and deeply caring ladies from Home Instead. He was carefully matched by the managers and had an amazing relationship with all of the carers who visited him each day. I cannot commend them enough for their compassion and understanding. I really could not have coped without them all. They are very person centred, ultra professional and everything you would expect from a very well run agency. They became a big part of his life and I considered them family friends eventually. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a carer for their loved one.

  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I joined Home Instead because of my experience in seeking Care for my father who had Alzheimer's Disease. I discovered that it's not easy to find quality support for a loved one and so my wife and I decided to create it. We joined Home Instead and opened our office in October 2013. Since that time we feel we have added something to the lives of 100's of clients and their families in North Oxfordshire and South West Northamptonshire.

Graham's overall role is to manage the business. He is also the nominated person with the Care Quality Commission.

I'm Adina and work with Home Instead in North Oxfordshire as Registered Care Manager, which means I am responsible for all elements of the service we provide. I initially joined as Deputy Manager for two years and also have over five years of experience in other roles within the care industry in Oxfordshire. I have found the focus we put on quality to be reflected in the experience people have every day. I feel very motivated and passionate about providing the highest quality service to our clients and their families.

I live nearby with my family and have a young daughter - see picture, I'm on the left! I love being a Mum… even if it does mean I don’t have too much time for hobbies these days!

I have worked in varied roles for a number of years, but after experiencing the need for care and support for my own parents, and the difference that extra support made to them both, I joined Home Instead in North Oxfordshire in 2018. I loved visiting my clients and progressed from CAREGiver to Senior CAREGiver and then to Field Supervisor in 2020, and am now in a training role. This involves the support of Care Professionals, making sure they are competent and confident to support their clients. I love the feeling you get when you know you make such a difference to people.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and especially my grandchildren. I have a wide and possibly unusual range of interests, including dressmaking, and I am also a keen motorcyclist and love nothing more than riding through the country lanes with my husband, especially in the summer months.
