Home Instead are absolutely first class. I am a father of four, an only child and work away. Without their support, I would have no alternative than to put mum into a care home which would be devastating to her. The care provided is of the highest quality, the carers are great companions and also, ensure mum receives the medication required, maintains a good diet and a lot of other help around her home. In addition to the carers, the leadership team and the office staff are wonderful and keep me fully up-to-date with any concerns or actions required.
I would highly recommend them to anyone.
The service I receive from Home Instead is of an excellent standard, everyone from the office staff and caregivers are polite, helpful, friendly and really do care. I cannot praise them enough.
I found Home Instead to be an excellent care provider for my mother. The care is of an excellent standard- very flexible and personalised. When my mother expressed the fact that she did not get on so well with one of the carers, the agency changed the carer straight away. My mother is very happy with the two carers provided and they allow her to live independently in her flat at the age of 90, despite having mild dementia and being frail physically.
Home Instead Senior Care (North Oxfordshire) continue to provide an excellent all round care package for my mum. They continue to make her life, in her own home, both pleasant and achievable, which is a brilliant result, as she really doesn't want to live in a care home. They now help with cooking, shopping, washing and showering, assisting decision making and most importantly they provide wonderful company for her. I know she really looks forward to the visits, from the excellent caregivers, who provide her with a regular friendly face. She sees them as friends, who come to help and stay for a chat about anything and everything! Thank you again for the outstanding service you have provided over the last couple of years!
They took great trouble to make sure that the carer they chose suited Mum and were flexible in the manner in which she was introduced.
We were adamant that there should be a regular carer visiting at a regular time and this has been the case enabling relationships to be built. Now Mum is fully accepting of the visits and really enjoys her chats with 'the girls'.
Home Instead conduct regular reviews to ensure that we are satisfied with the service but they are always available if there is something we need to discuss. We are also contacted if the carers are concerned in any way.
It is no exaggeration to say that Home Instead have made a huge positive difference for the whole family.
We were recommended to use Home Instead and indeed our experience of the care and professional service received was more than we could have hoped. My husband was in denial about his needs for care and companionship and initial contact was handled with great discretion and well-trained carers were carefully matched to him. He soon warmed to the twice-weekly visits and the carers were sensitive to his need to maintain his self-esteem and cheerfully bought out the best in him. There was excellent communication with the manager and appropriate concerns were raised and shared as physical and mental health deteriorated. We appreciated the advice on next steps and also the support on transition to residential care. Our family would certainly recommend this provider to others and feel that they offer a unique service in the area.
Home instead have been caring for my aunt for the last 12 months which enabled her to stay in the home she has lived in for over 60 years. I have found them to be a caring, reliable and professional company and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who needs caring and help at home.
It is always a very distressing time to hand over some of the care of your loved one to someone else. However, this transition was made seamless by the team at Home Instead. My husband’s needs were assessed in advance which gave me confidence that my husband would be well looked after, giving me peace of mind and that much-needed break to recharge. My husband always enjoyed the visits twice a week and I always came home to him laughing and enjoying himself. Similarly, he was sometimes taken out for a few hours to places which would interest him, thought of in advance by the carer, to maximise enjoyment and stimulation. I will never forget the kindness shown by my husband’s carers at what was a very difficult time. They were friendly and approachable and nothing was too much trouble. It is so important to have people you can rely on and trust to care for your loved one as you would want them to. Thank you.
Thank you so much for all your help and support.
We have been very happy with care of our 99year old with dementia. His care plan was accurate to his needs and updated and adapted conscientiously by staff. The staff were up to date with training and would often suggest ideas from recent courses they’d attended. We felt that he was in very safe hands when out and about with the staff. They all took the trouble to find out about his likes/dislikes and organised interesting outings which he thoroughly enjoyed. They were very reliable - always arrived on time with good back up from the office staff who would ring if there was an unavoidable delay or for reporting issues during an outing. The staff would write up visits conscientiously so we knew what he did/ ate and enjoyed during the visit. It was a well managed excellent service that was of great benefit to the whole family. Thank you so much.
This was a huge relief to the family, as Mum does not easily accept carers, and we needed respite care so Mum's live-in carer could take daily breaks. Now Mum really looks forward to her visits from her Home Instead carers. The care they provide is suffused with friendship and compassion, and they have helped Mum re-engage with the creative world that she loves; singing, dancing and drawing together.
My brothers and I have also found it wonderful to have the manager and his team as partners in Mum's support. It is obvious that they really care about their clients. They go the extra mile when we need it, and their regular feedback and advice has been invaluable as Mum's dementia progresses.
It is impossible to praise the staff at this company enough. I do not live near my Mum (who has a degenerative disease), so it is key for me to know that she is being looked after in a caring, respectful and organised way. Home Instead do all of these things. The ladies who visit my mum have taken the time to get to know her and show genuine kindness and empathy. The office staff and directors provide a thoughtful, efficient service and can be easily contacted outside office hours. I was really struggling to find reliable, high-quality care before and it caused a great deal of worry. The care provided by Home Instead has pretty much transformed my mum's life and allows me peace of mind.
Home Instead have facilitated keeping Mum at home when we really could not have managed it. Providing high-quality carers who became Mum's friends, as well as carers, meant we really didn't have to worry about her daily care needs. Home Instead did so much more even after carers had left, making doctors appointments, sorting medications and monitoring her progress, I feel they went above and beyond what we actually paid for. Providing continuity of carer meant even with dementia Mum felt safe. Nothing was ever too much trouble for staff, and they looked out for Mum in all aspects of her care. I cannot speak highly enough of them. Big thanks to all the team.
I was so appreciative of the quality of care given to me by the staff of Home Instead. The management is recruiting and training supervisor staff which creates a pleasant atmosphere with the client. I looked forward to their arrival and enjoyed their friendliness. Their work was efficient and helpful. I would certainly recommend Home Instead to anyone needing senior care.
Dad, adamant didn't need anyone in first thing in the morning. We just needed assurance he was up and about. He eventually relented and we were very pleased with care dad received. He was treated with dignity at all times. He did come to look forward to his morning visitor and liked the carer who was allocated. We as a family could only get round in afternoons so we needed to know he was out of bed and had his breakfast. Thankfully we did have someone in first thing as dad had fallen in bathroom and was found by carer. Without her calling in he would have been there until the afternoon. She looked after him so well and waited with him until help came. The company and staff all so very professional. Listens to all our concerns re dad. Always answered emails too. Highly recommend.
The great thing about your company is I have the same carer every week, I’ve got to know her and her me. It makes such a difference particularly when my health is worse.
Everyone in the office is so helpful, directors and the staff are efficient and care - and it shows.
The positive difference having one of your carers in my life is huge. I’d thoroughly recommend your Company, in fact, I already have. A massive thanks to you all, I don’t think you realise the difference you make.
Home Instead provides my Mother with a first class care service, helping her get up and go to bed on a daily basis. Her carers are always cheerful, helpful, gentle and kind to her are mindful and sensitive to her deteriorating state of dementia. They are great at raising awareness of how she feels on a daily basis, prompt me if she needs new clothes/household goods and keep her in good spirits. I couldn't recommend them more highly. The office is also very efficient and acts quickly on any requests.
I am very happy with the care my mum receives from Home Instead. I live 3 hours away from her so it is an enormous relief to know that she has high-quality care that we can rely on. She has the same care worker every time which helps to build a relationship and the office staff and communication could not be better. She needed a bit extra care recently when she came out of hospital and she got the support she needed. Very supportive staff, thank you very much.
Both of my parents have dementia and, prior to Home Instead getting involved, life for them was quite chaotic. But getting them to accept any help was a repeating challenge. After much perseverance by the carers, my parents now look forward to their visits and are managing a lot better - my father takes his medication regularly and, they eat properly.
Home Instead works hard to recruit carers who have real empathy for their clients and are prepared to go the extra mile. We have found that the model of providing companionship over a longer visit is rewarding for the carer and the client alike.
A key part of our Home Instead experience is the enormous support and advice that the directors and the team provide to my brother and me, alongside organising the actual care of our parents. We feel that we really are in a partnership with Home Instead and that we are all working together to achieve the best quality of life possible for our parents.

Meet the Team (5)
I joined Home Instead because of my experience in seeking Care for my father who had Alzheimer's Disease. I discovered that it's not easy to find quality support for a loved one and so my wife and I decided to create it. We joined Home Instead and opened our office in October 2013. Since that time we feel we have added something to the lives of 100's of clients and their families in North Oxfordshire and South West Northamptonshire.
Graham's overall role is to manage the business. He is also the nominated person with the Care Quality Commission.
I'm Adina and work with Home Instead in North Oxfordshire as Registered Care Manager, which means I am responsible for all elements of the service we provide. I initially joined as Deputy Manager for two years and also have over five years of experience in other roles within the care industry in Oxfordshire. I have found the focus we put on quality to be reflected in the experience people have every day. I feel very motivated and passionate about providing the highest quality service to our clients and their families.
I live nearby with my family and have a young daughter - see picture, I'm on the left! I love being a Mum… even if it does mean I don’t have too much time for hobbies these days!
I've been with Home Instead in North Oxfordshire since 2015. Initially, I was responsible for scheduling for three years, but after taking a year off to have twins (!) I undertook a role supporting as trainer Care Professionals through supervision and training. Since early 2025, I have taken a role as Deputy Care Manager, supporting Adina and the rest of the team to ensure the safe and high-quality delivery of our services.
I originally trained to degree level in psychology and have worked with both younger and older people since then. I really love working for Home Instead. The attention clients get, and the support we provide our staff, is second to none. I feel proud to work for the organisation.
I have worked in varied roles for a number of years, but after experiencing the need for care and support for my own parents, and the difference that extra support made to them both, I joined Home Instead in North Oxfordshire in 2018. I loved visiting my clients and progressed from CAREGiver to Senior CAREGiver and then to Field Supervisor in 2020, and am now in a training role. This involves the support of Care Professionals, making sure they are competent and confident to support their clients. I love the feeling you get when you know you make such a difference to people.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and especially my grandchildren. I have a wide and possibly unusual range of interests, including dressmaking, and I am also a keen motorcyclist and love nothing more than riding through the country lanes with my husband, especially in the summer months.
Gemma joined us in 2024 after having worked in patient services at a GP surgery. Her role ensures that client visits are scheduled efficiently, matching clients to caregivers, reacting to needs and ensuring no one goes without a visit. In this way, her role ensures the safe and high-quality delivery of what we do.
