Very helpful.
If I have any concerns it's sorted straight away. Always listens too.
I have found the carers to be very kind and helpful - willing to undertake some things that I need to be done in the time they are here.
Competent, friendly staff and carers. Very good timekeepers. Staff have time for you. Follow CQC quality procedures
We have used both the domestic care and residential from Caremark and have found all people who have been in my mum's house to be sensitive to the fact it is her home and that Mum has lived independently alone for decades. It is hard to demonstrate that level of respect and balance the increasing needs of care with my mum's years of independence.
It is not a case of how likely I am to recommend them, in fact, as I have already done so!
1) Most of the time you keep to the 3 staff that she knows well.
2) These regular staff have formed excellent relationships with her
3) I am always able to get through to the office staff, they are always on the ball and helpful.
One thing that works less well is phone calls about changes to care which sometimes get distorted. This seems to be due to the message going from me to office staff, then on to the carers. It works better if I speak to the carers directly.
One other comment: the recent big increase in cost for 30-minute calls which is going to cause a funding problem as the local authority won't pay it.
Over the past 3 years, Mum had Caremark staff looking after her personal needs. I have found their standard of care to be high and professional and their approach to Mum is very warming and understanding toward her needs on several occasions. Some of the staff had gone beyond their duties in caring for her so I would like to say thank you to all staff who attended to Mum.

I have worked in the public sector for the majority of my adult working life because I have always been one who believes in contributing to the wider community. It is this mindset of serving the community that led me to look into the healthcare sector for new opportunities. I am proud to be involved in a business that provides healthcare services to our local people. My commitment to the people we care for is that we will work tirelessly to ensure that they live their best lives within the comfort of their own homes, enhancing their quality of life and helping them live independently for longer.
Caremark is a leading healthcare provider in the UK. We care deeply about our staff and ensure they are well-trained and equipped to care for your family. I see us all, staff and the people we support, as one family and as managing director of Caremark North Herts and Stevenage, I am committed to nurturing a family culture amongst our staff and the people we support.
Claire started working in care in 2001 as an evening care assistant. She was soon promoted to Quality Assurance Officer, then Care Coordinator. Further promotions included Supervisor, then Deputy Manager.
She moved on to a different company in 2008 as Assistant Manager and was promoted to Care Manager in 2010.
In April 2013, Claire joined Caremark North Herts & Stevenage when the territory was established - it was an exciting time for her.
Claire managed to build the business from scratch, and she is very proud of the excellent standard of care that is provided by our Care Assistants. Claire has a very supportive team around, who ensure that the care we provide is outcome-based and person-centred.
She has attained NVQ level 5 and also has a teaching qualification.
Caremark North Herts & Stevenage is rated GOOD in all five areas assessed by the CQC.
Having no experience in care, I started with Caremark North Herts & Stevenage in September 2020 as a Care Assistant. With support from Caremark North Herts & Stevenage, I have now progressed to the position of Field Care Supervisor after completing my university course for social work.
I am also the HCPA champion for Dementia and End of Life Care after completing the required training.
I joined Caremark in 2021 as a part-time Care Assistant and, with the support and encouragement of the team, progressed to the role of Field Care Supervisor. I’m proud to be part of such an amazing team that is dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
My role ensures new and prospective clients have an individual needs assessment, ensuring that each care plan is tailored to meet their specific requirements. I also conduct comprehensive risk assessments as part of the assessment process and regularly review and update these to support effective risk management and maintain the safety and well-being of those we care for.
I joined Caremark North Herts and Stevenage in September 2025, bringing with me experience working in the community, care homes, and NHS hospitals. In my role, I work to maintain the highest standards for dignity, safety, and high-quality, person-centred support for our clients.
This wide range of experience has helped me gain the Care Certificate, Level 2 in Health and Social Care, and training in manual handling, medication administration, and safeguarding. I later progressed to complete my NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
I am motivated to keep learning and continue building my skills through further training and qualifications to support my career growth.
Caremark is a progressive company that genuinely supports staff who are committed to developing and advancing in their roles.
I joined Caremark North Herts & Stevenage in 2015 as an apprentice and gained my Level 2 Business Administration qualification. I have since progressed within the company, working in all areas of the business. I now manage the finance and HR side of the business alongside the Managing Director.
I joined the team in June 2025 as Marketing Manager, with a focus on building strong local partnerships that support better outcomes for people receiving homecare.
My decision to work in homecare is driven by a desire to help remove the barriers of loneliness and isolation, which is an unfortunate reality for many in our community. I am fortunate to be able to work directly to help remove the barriers, like transport and confidence, which make it difficult to stay connected.
Our work with local organisations helps bring meaningful activities and opportunities to people who may otherwise feel isolated, supporting them to live more connected and fulfilling lives.
