Daily Charges per Person

  • Weekly Live-in Care Fees: up to £230

At Home Instead Camden, we believe that clarity around fees is key to helping families make confident decisions about care. The cost of putting high-quality home care in place depends on several factors, including:

The type and level of support required (e.g., personal care, specialist dementia or Parkinson’s support, live-in vs visiting care)

How many hours per week or month are needed

Whether services are delivered during evenings, weekends or 24-hour cover

any bespoke elements of the care plan (for example, additional companionship, outings, or specialised equipment)

Because each client’s needs are unique, we provide a tailored quote following a free home consultation. We will walk you through what your loved one requires, explain the team and support structure, and build a plan that aligns with your lifestyle and budget.

We believe that rather than presenting a “one-size-fits-all rate”, it is far more sensible and transparent to create a care package that flexes with your needs. If your requirements change (for example, increasing hours, adding specialist care, or adjusting the level of support), the plan and therefore the fee will reflect that.

During the consultation, we also explain how fees work: when invoices are issued, payment methods, what is included (and what is not), and how we review the plan over time to ensure value and relevance. We encourage families to ask about any potential additional costs or adjustments—our aim is that you feel comfortable, supported and fully informed. Available on request.

I have been very well served by the skilled helpers from Home Instead. The organising has been flawless. I have befriended my most frequent helper, and I am very grateful for her kind attention. Help, food, medication, bathing, talking, reassurance.

We had a live in carer for my husband following a fall he had to go into a care home as he became too difficult to manage at home. He has dementia, and I wanted continuity of care to settle him into his new surroundings. I decided to keep the carer on for this reason. He was used to one to one care, and this could be continued. I have been very happy with the excellent care and support. The arrangement will be reviewed as necessary.

Care pros from Home Instead have looked after my wife, Priscilla, since December 2024. During that time, I have never questioned the standard of basic care Priscilla has received. When a difficulty of some sort has developed, I have been able to discuss the matter with senior staff who listened and suggested solutions to the problem. A full report on the last few years would have to include the fact that some carers fitted into our household more successfully than others. This is a delicate matter to explain. Some carers failed to make a relationship with Priscilla, and also failed to make an easy working relationship with me. This led to a kind of exhausting awkwardness. In the sorrowful and emotional time we are living through, this awkwardness becomes intolerable. I appreciate the swiftness with which Home Instead dealt with these moments. I have frequently admired and been moved by the skill and dedication displayed by most Home Instead Carers.

Carers looked after my sister for nearly 2 years, at first for 2 hours, 3 days a week, then daily for 4 hours. They got to know her well and adapted their care to her needs and preferences, eg going for walks with her, sharing her interest in birds, bringing history videos on their phone for her to watch, taking her to her weekly choir rehearsal. They shopped with her (or for her if she was unwell), made sure she ate her meals and encouraged her with conversation. They checked her physical health, did her pulmonary exercises with her and took her to see her GP when necessary. When she collapsed out shopping, her carer called an ambulance, accompanied her to A & E and stayed an extra hour there until I could reach the hospital. Central management was equally supportive and sensitive, keeping the team small enough for my sister to become familiar with them, finding solutions to every problem, and providing me with invaluable support during difficult times. I can't praise them too highly

Nearly two years ago when I realised my husband needed professional care on account of his Dementia and Alzheimer's together with other health issues, several friends and colleagues highly recommended HomeInstead. I was not disappointed. Pauline and her colleagues looked after John with such care, compassion and patience it was inspiring to watch. On several occasions I needed live in care and Maida was fantastic, keeping a watchful eye on him during the night too and cooking him delicious meals. In the end Pauline steered me through the process of getting John assessed and into a local care home, advising on when it was the right time to move him. He is in the care home now but we will always look back on the happy times he had with his team from HomeInstead. All the carers were totally honest and trustworthy and Mentor always did a great job of sourcing carers for me, even at the last minute when I had forgotten I needed help!

I am extremely satisfied with the service Home instead provide to my 93-year-old mother. All the carers are excellent. They are well trained and responsive to my mother's needs as well as being reliable. They not only provide practical help for my mother, but also are very kind, sociable and encouraging in their interactions with her.

The person who manages the rota is excellent at being flexible and responsive to the changing situation of my mother's needs. I would recommend Home instead to anyone requiring care provision at home.

My 90 year old father suffers from vascular dementia. Home Instead Camden have been providing daily care for just over 3 months.

I received an email one morning announcing that this would be the last day that the agency would provide care. The reason was because it was supposedly dangerous for carers to attend my father without a wheelchair. There had been 2 calls when this matter was discussed and I explained that the advice I had been given from both social services and his doctor was that use of a wheelchair at this stage could rapidly reduce his mobility.

I was shocked at the callous way Home instead Camden felt they could abandon one of their clients causing him distress and his family extreme inconvenience. Thankfully we have now found alternative carers who seem able to make good progress with his mobility - without recourse to a wheelchair.

I urge anyone contemplating dealing with Home instead Camden to ensure there are strict protocols about termination of care.

We are very happy with care provided by Home Instead - Camden. All of the carers have been very professional whilst being friendly and have made mum's house continue to feel like a home. Equally they make mum's immediate family feel at ease which in turn, ensures people are always popping in to see her. We also have noted the support staff at Home Instead, are friendly too and often put on social "get togethers" which mum thoroughly enjoys.

Home Instead has been providing care for my 93 year old mother for over four years now. The entire team of carers and support staff have been amazingly supportive and thoughtful and we could not fault our experience with them. My mother has had consistent care from one person for several years which has been wonderful and she and the carer have become firm friends.
I know that I can pop into the office or call at any time to update or change arrangements and that they will always be flexible and responsive to our needs.

If you need or are organising care for a loved one, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My Aunt has been supported by the Home Instead team for approximately 3 years. Since the outset, her needs have changed and with it the care has changed.

She currently has a carer 6 days a week for 3 hours each day. Her main goal is to remain as independent as possible and therefore likes to go out every day. Her care coordinator, has been wonderful at building trust and friendship with my aunt. He has been able to select carers with shared interests and who can offer her genuine companionship. We have regular communication and updates from her care coordinator, and we have built a very trusting and supportive relationship whereby any concerns are regularly communicated.

I cannot recommend Home Instead (Camden) highly enough. The whole team have been highly professional and supportive of all my aunt's needs and most importantly, listens to any concerns. They are very much a team, and have a host of additional skills to offer such as nail and foot care and an incontinence service.

Your team was amazing with my Uncle who had late-onset Alzheimers. You gently began to introduce him to the idea of accepting more help, at first just once or twice a week over a year or two. Then we transitioned to a daily basis to assist him with meals. You never pushed us to accept more care and your team were able to get the balance right between my anxiety concerning his safety and his wishes to remain independent. Finally after the further deterioration of his short term memory and a hospital admission he transitioned to live-in care in his final year at home. You carefully matched him with a carer whose companionship he enjoyed. Your team's support added greatly to his quality of life and I very much appreciated your professionalism, care and respect for his resolute independence.

Our widowed mother, 92, experienced a quick onset and deterioration of Alzheimer's over an eighteen month period. Home Instead provided flexible, personalised and expert support for her in her home until the end. They responded quickly and offered advice in a tactful and timely manner. The small management team knew their clients and staff well, so consistently provided a careful match with our mother. For example, selecting Polish speakers at key moments and finding the right person once 24 hour care was needed. Huge thanks to the management team and carers in enabling our mother to feel safe and cared for.
