Home Instead (Cowbridge, Pontyclun & Pontypridd) strive to bring the kind of care to clients that they would all want for their own family.

Tailored care is carried out by suitably trained staff, all of whom look to support independent living and promote privacy and dignity, assisting with daily chores, visits out, maintaining hobbies and personal care.

Home Instead (Cowbridge, Pontyclun & Pontypridd) looked after my elderly father who suffers with dementia, for more than the past year, only ceasing when he was hospitalised following a fall. Throughout the period, including the challenges of the COVID pandemic, the care they provided was first-rate.
Specific caregivers are allocated to clients and the service they provide is tailor-made to the needs and circumstances of the individual. The service was reliable and on the odd occasion when an emergency interfered with the care schedule I was always advised of the situation and the solution that had been put in place. At no time, even in an emergency, was someone sent to cover a shift that Dad had not already met and was comfortable with. The carers treated my father as a real individual rather than as a task to be completed and did all they could to improve his quality of life as well as keeping him safe. Thoroughly recommended.

Our mother is in her eighties and lives alone. She cannot live independently but her one desire was to remain in her own home. Home Instead (Cowbridge, Pontyclun & Pontypridd) have certainly helped us to achieve this. Needless to say the lockdown has been something of a challenge. Continuity has been
key, with a small team of care givers who are punctual and friendly. Amongst the management staff there is a willingness to discuss and solve problems as they arise. An example of this, is the use of pre-paid debit cards so that carers could do the weekly shop without mum having to be present. It would be fair to say that Home Instead (Cowbridge, Pontyclun & Pontypridd) has been a lifesaver over the past year.

Home Instead have been a lifeline not just for my mother but to myself and family. From the very first phone call, they have been professional and understanding of our circumstances and have been available to contact 24 hours a day. The service provided by the carers has been to the utmost standard
and they cannot be praised enough. Staying at home has been her priority and without the support of Home Instead, we would not be able to make this happen.

In September 2020 we took out care for our mum with Home Instead after a recommendation from another family and we are so very glad we did! The experience of putting in place the initial care package was made so easy by the Home Instead team - especially as it was done remotely and in a very short time
period! The whole team were exceptionally helpful, understanding and supportive throughout the whole process, not only with my mum but with us, her family, as well. This support and understanding have continued throughout our ‘relationship’ with Home Instead. All the careers we have met have been so wonderful, warm and genuine, and we know our mum feels the same way too as they always put her at ease and she looks forward to their visits. From our point of view as the family, communication between the team and ourselves has been exceptional - they are always very easy to contact and act quickly to sort any requests. As a family we cannot recommend the team highly enough - thank you!

In the too short a time that Home Instead provided care for my mother they proved not only to be carers but friends. Always prompt to arrive and never rushing away at the end of their allotted time they provided immense comfort not only to my mother but to all the family. They were always immaculately
presented and, in these COVID times, extremely diligent in their hygiene procedures. Each and every carer showed themselves to be compassionate and whilst carrying out their duties acted carefully and tenderly to prevent causing discomfort. They provided their services at extremely short notice supplying us with a detailed timetable and care plan. If you want the best for your loved one I can not recommend them too highly.

Mum was in the care home for the last 18-months of her life. Home Instead provided a compatible companion to take her out shopping every week and to attend some hospital appointments. Mum thought of her companion as a good friend.
Home Instead, are an incredibly professional and friendly company. They
have excellent communication and are never too busy to speak to you. I have found them very supportive, not just of my mother, but of myself too.

I have been having the two home helps since my stroke in October 2017. I find them invaluable in their help. They are a great help with shopping and keep everything spick and span. It is so nice to know that a friendly face will be coming in, they are very punctual and reliable. The office will keep
me informed of any changes, and I have a regular assessment of my condition and my needs. So far I am very pleased with their service.

An unexpected and worrying situation arose where I needed to speak to Home Instead urgently. It was a Sunday afternoon. I saw in the front of the file a 24 hour number, what a relief. But even better a reassuring voice I recognised. Home instead were quickly and calmly able to reassure me and resolve
my concerns. Ironically, this episode was based on my own misunderstanding and lack of knowledge. At no time was this commented upon, instead only professionalism and reassurance was given. I am extremely grateful for the exceptional service by all concerned. It is only when things get difficult that we see how good a service is in its delivery - my experience was of exceptional and effective care rarely available today. Thank you all so much.

Home Instead Senior Care have provided my father with a wonderful team of conscientious Carers. They have built up a lovely relationship with Dad and in turn, he trusts them to help him and in turn, I trust them to look after him when I can’t.
Together we have travelled on a journey helping Dad with
his Dysphasia which slowly gets worse. They are a very caring team that will help as much as they can to keep his brain active and also encouraging him to move and walk, to try and keep his pain at bay.
I cannot thank them enough.

Home Instead are a fabulous company. Company seems like the wrong word to use as it feels impersonal - all staff whether it is the Care Givers, managers or office staff are so friendly, polite and efficient. Their first priority has always been mum and her well being. From the very first meeting,
I have felt comfortable and secure in the knowledge mum was well cared for - particularly important as I am 200 miles away. Mum has loved having her ladies come to visit every day and looked forward to seeing them. I cannot thank the staff enough.

The service was exemplary. There was a small team who looked after my mother and father. The carers were briefed on my parent's likes and dislikes. They sought to engage them in life-enhancing activities. When there were problems they would work out a solution and present the solution to us for our
approval. They provided care but were always careful not to interfere or usurp our position. We were kept involved and informed.


Living 2 hours away with parents in failing mental and physical health they were our eyes and ears and we needed to rely on them. They never let us down. For example, when one carer was finishing a visit to another client and saw my father wandering at a time he was not usually out, she stopped to find out why. She reassured him and got him to return home.


Their tagline is “with us it’s personal” and I wholeheartedly believe it was. The care never felt mechanical, they formed a bond with my parents. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Home Instead have been caring for my father for the past 9 months with two visits per day, 7 days per week. Although I have no direct experience of other carers I cannot speak too highly of Home Instead. Their carers and management staff are totally committed to providing excellent care and are always
eager and willing to go the extra mile whenever necessary. Their communication process is brilliant, and their management system is faultless. I trust them 100% with the care of my 91-year-old father who has dementia and lives alone in a large house.

I cannot recommend Home Instead Senior Care highly enough. My mother had carers for two years up until her death in August 2017. She was treated with the greatest dignity and respect and told me that she thought of her carers as friends. I also considered them friends and we all miss them very much.
There are not enough words to express my gratitude to them.

I have nothing but praise for the care assistant who visited my mother for around 9 months until she had to go into a nursing home.
Home Instead management were also great, always doing whatever they could to assist.
