Home Instead are a fabulous company. Company seems like the wrong word to use as it feels impersonal - all staff whether it is the Care Givers, managers or office staff are so friendly, polite and efficient. Their first priority has always been mum and her well being. From the very first meeting, I have felt comfortable and secure in the knowledge mum was well cared for - particularly important as I am 200 miles away. Mum has loved having her ladies come to visit every day and looked forward to seeing them. I cannot thank the staff enough.

The service was exemplary. There was a small team who looked after my mother and father. The carers were briefed on my parent's likes and dislikes. They sought to engage them in life-enhancing activities. When there were problems they would work out a solution and present the solution to us for our approval. They provided care but were always careful not to interfere or usurp our position. We were kept involved and informed.

Living 2 hours away with parents in failing mental and physical health they were our eyes and ears and we needed to rely on them. They never let us down. For example, when one carer was finishing a visit to another client and saw my father wandering at a time he was not usually out, she stopped to find out why. She reassured him and got him to return home.

Their tagline is “with us it’s personal” and I wholeheartedly believe it was. The care never felt mechanical, they formed a bond with my parents. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Home Instead have been caring for my father for the past 9 months with two visits per day, 7 days per week. Although I have no direct experience of other carers I cannot speak too highly of Home Instead. Their carers and management staff are totally committed to providing excellent care and are always eager and willing to go the extra mile whenever necessary. Their communication process is brilliant, and their management system is faultless. I trust them 100% with the care of my 91-year-old father who has dementia and lives alone in a large house.

I cannot recommend Home Instead Senior Care highly enough. My mother had carers for two years up until her death in August 2017. She was treated with the greatest dignity and respect and told me that she thought of her carers as friends. I also considered them friends and we all miss them very much. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to them.

Home Instead management were also great, always doing whatever they could to assist.

The management team were also great and couldn't have done more to make the whole experience easy and comfortable.

John was kept clean and comfortable he was nursed stimulated and diverted. I was helped and comforted by a group of ladies whom I look upon as friends and to whom I will always be grateful. We all have happy memories of our loved ones some of mine have Home Instead stamped on them.

Excellent standard of care, but I'm particularly impressed by the communication about anything out of the ordinary. This is especially important as I'm some distance away from my mother who receives the care. I'm always kept up to date.

The entire team at Home Instead Senior Care (Cowbridge, Pontypridd & Caerphilly) treated us as if we were family. We were really up against all the odds supporting an elderly parent, until you came along and made our lives and the parent immeasurably better during their final months. We could not speak too highly of everyone throughout the time we worked with you. Many thanks once again, and will be recommending you to anyone else who was in our situation.

Home instead have changed the quality of my Mother's life and by doing this they have changed mine, they are always at the end of the phone and give help where they can. My mother thinks of her Caregivers as friends and it is a pleasure for me to leave her in their very capable hands, we would not be without them.

Home Instead carers and office support staff were unfailingly kind and professional throughout the time our family needed them. They increased services as needed, we couldn't find any fault with them.

I have had excellent care from Home Instead since March 2016. My husband needed the most care until his death at the end of September and I carried on requiring care until the 8th of December. Many many thanks!

After a few false starts with other care agencies, we found Home Instead. At last we had a company that provided carers that actually cared! Right from the start the professionalism shown and the in-depth way they researched my parent's needs, made my husband and I feel very safe and secure with the choice we'd made. We have had to make regular adjustments to the care required as my parent's health deteriorated, and Home Instead have always been ready to work with us to provide what was necessary. The staff are very knowledgeable about the needs of the elderly and have been an invaluable source of information and advice. As for a lot of people, this may be the first time that they've been responsible for the care of a relative. Rapport was quickly established, with my parents now looking forward to the daily interaction with their carers. It's lovely to see how their lives have been enriched by having the help rather than finding it a negative experience. No hesitation in recommending.

The best way to describe Home Instead is totally professional. Always on time, always available on the phone, always caring. Their staff are 100% committed, gentle, sensible, encouraging and want to give complete and appropriate care. I am an retired GP used to varying levels of care for my patients. Home Instead is the best.

My dad's needs began to exceed what his previous package of care could provide as well as what I myself could manage. Home Instead Senior Care offered everything that my dad needed as well as support and respite for me. They were so understanding of the situation and liaised with my dad and with me in putting together just the right package. They selected care givers who shared my dad's interests, providing hour long visits with the continuity of the same six people. All the staff and care givers were very proactive and always put my dad's well being first. The level of support offered made me feel like my dad was their only client and just as important as he was to me.

Our situation was not a usual one as we were looking after my mum in our own home two weeks out of four. As mum's needs became more demanding 24/7 care was exhausting and my husband and I needed "time out". Home Instead were the only people who were willing to provide a care plan that needed to be very flexible and different each week/month.

The staff and carers were extremely friendly, helpful and caring to both my mum and our family and were professional at all times. We all received the care and support we needed and nothing was too much trouble. Special mention to two ladies whose smiling faces and kind works were amazing.

As a new customer we have been very satisfied with the service to date. Head office contacts us regularly to ensure we are happy and they have even been out to the house as well. I like the way the manager talks to my mum, I feel confident that should my mother deteriorate in time then we are in good hands. At the moment we only have the cleaning service, which is very good.
