The Belong at Home team began caring for my mother following her return from hospital after an unexpected collapse. The care team she was allocated were great; we felt as though they had been matched to mum's personality and interests. All were attentive, respectful and most importantly kind. Some members of the team went out of their way to help, making mum feel as though they were there because they wanted to be there, not because they were paid to be there. Unfortunately mum ended up in and out of the hospital and in respite care for long stretches. The Belong at Home organisation was excellent, suspending and remobilizing calls swiftly and efficiently. Sadly mum died suddenly, but we were all so grateful to the team for enabling her to be at home for the time that she had left. I would highly recommend Belong at Home for anyone looking for support to enable them to live at home.

I definitely made the right decision in choosing Belong to care for my mother in her own home. All the staff that visit her are extremely caring, helpful, friendly and professional at the same time. She looks forward to their visits and if I’m away, I know she is in good hands. Belong is a reliable company and I am confident that my mother receives excellent care from them.

I really look forward to the ladies coming into my home. Always punctual, respectful, well organised, caring and efficient. I enjoy their friendliness and little chats. I enjoy the sandwiches, really appetising. The ladies have helped to settle me into a routine very efficiently.

I have already recommended to the GP and other general public. I was so pleased that Belong have set up in this area. The care providers have taken a lot off my shoulders and now I can enjoy time for myself and more time with Mum. It's lovely to have professional help as an 'extra pair of eyes'. All the ladies are well organised, caring, polite and punctual. They enabled Mum to settle exceptionally quickly.

Wonderful service that has helped enormously support the self-care of my mum. The team are lovely, respectful and understanding. I appreciate the care planning that takes care of individual needs rather than a 'blanket approach'.

Mum appears settled, has made good connections with Belong staff and has enjoyed many social visits.

The staff are lovely, very caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Every week my mother comes for a bath. The bathroom is spotless and very modern. After, we have lunch in the restaurant (the food is fantastic) with lots of choice, very reasonably priced. Overall I would rate the care 10/10.

We have been using Belong at Home Warrington since October 2018. This involves helping my husband each morning with getting showered, dressed etc. Monday to Friday. This helps me enormously and my husband is happy with this as it is done extremely sympathetically.

I was looking for a company that could give Mum the support she needed to stay independent in her own home. After meeting with Belong at Home I had no doubts that they could offer the support she needed. I have since met all of the team allocated to Mum's care and am very impressed with the total commitment they give and how relaxed Mum is in their company.

Nothing is too much trouble, they always arrive on time and give Mum the full allocated time. They will carry out household tasks for her, just sit and chat or even accompany her on short walks. They also maintain a log of their visits which clearly states what they did, I find this very useful.

Another bonus is that they regularly take her to the Belong Village in Warrington to take part in the activities that take place on a regular basis. I know that Mum looks forward to and enjoys these visits.

I have no doubt that in appointing Belong to take care of Mum, I have given her the ability to stay independent in her own home.

Andy is a highly motivated and caring member of the Belong at Home team and its longest-standing colleague, having been appointed as its first community support worker when the service was launched in 2009.

Andy embodies Belong values and has worked across the various Belong at Home regions to support local teams through various challenging periods. He has been instrumental in developing the service to its current level and is committed to taking it to the next level, both in terms of business growth and closer integration with the villages to ensure our services operate in a complementary manner. He is loved and admired by customers and colleagues alike, working closely with his care team and also with other managers, providing support to all who need it. As Head of Operations (Belong at Home), Andrew maintains his focus on the customer, leading by example and showing his usual determination to ensure that clients receive person-centred support from a team in which he is personally invested. Andrew is a great example of someone who lives and breathes the organisation’s ethos, values and culture, and instils these into both his team and other managers. He is a truly inspirational individual.

Rachael Gray
Rachael GrayJob Title:Practice Development Facilitator

Rachael is an outstanding trainer, who has worked in the Health and Social Care sector for 29 years.

She started with Cheshire County Council in domiciliary care in 1996 and then joined CLS in 1997 where she worked as a Care Assistant and Care Team Leader before progressing to a Care Manager.

Recognising her passion for mentoring and developing others, she made the move to training company, Total People, where she worked for 15 years as a Training Advisor/Assessor/IQA supporting learners through various Health and Social Care qualifications at L2/3/5.

In 2017, she was appointed Practice Development Facilitator for Belong at Home, with responsibility for the professional development of our community support workers across all regions.

An invaluable member of our team, Rachael enjoys empowering others to be able to support customers in a person-centred way to ensure they receive continuity of high quality care.

Elaine Wilson
Elaine WilsonJob Title:Enquiry Manager

Elaine brings a wealth of care sector experience to her role as Senior Enquiry Manager for Belong at Home and, above all, carries it out with enormous empathy and compassion.

She has supported the expansion of Belong’s home care service since 2016, providing advice, information and guidance to people seeking support in their own homes.

Prior to that she worked as Enquiry Manager for CLS Care Services for a number of years, applying her previous extensive experience as a frontline carer to bear in her ability to support enquirers through the process of finding the right care setting, as well as supporting managers to promote their care services effectively.

Elaine’s caring qualities have been honed over a long career in the care sector, which she first joined in 1988, holding a variety of roles, including Care Assistant, Activity Co-ordinator and Team Leader, before working as a highly effective Registered Home Manager for 15 years.
