I was very impressed with how my mother's carer has organised my mother's medication and with both the care and initiative she has shown to solve the problem. The carer is also doing a great job of reminding my mother of appointments and other tasks that she needs to remember. The carer has clearly understood how best to work with my mother to achieve the help she currently needs. I have been impressed with the communication from the office.

All carers arrive on time and are cheerful. They are all very helpful and ready to do anything. I think of them like friends coming in to help and have a chat.

The personal care for my wife after a severe stroke has been excellent. When my wife has become aggressive the carers have shown great patience in calming her. She really needs continual NHS care to continue to this high standard.

Two and a half years ago my Mother's Alzheimer's made it very difficult for her to live without support. On the recommendation of a friend, I met with the owner who was quickly able to put a care package together to support my Mother. This meant that I could continue working and even take holidays. Home Instead were able to respond to my Mother's changing needs when care changed from companionship to personal care. Mum enjoyed the company of all the Caregivers who enabled her to live a much fuller life. The Carers responded to some very difficult situations cheerfully, kindly and speedily. When my son got married last year, sadly Mum was not well enough to attend, the owner and his team organised for Carers to stay with her over the weekend of the wedding. This meant that I could fully enjoy the wedding knowing that Mum was being well cared for. The amazing Memory Cafe that Home Instead run fortnightly gave Mum so much pleasure enabling her to join in the music and singing, a great passion of hers.

2nd review; During the past month short stay in hospital, returning home, additional personal care at home has been done professionally with dignity and a sense of humour on all sides. Pressure taken off relatives in providing care and support needed immediately saving us long-distance travel. The staff always ensure that everything is in order and secure before leaving and at times this is done after their allotted time. This elderly client is treated as a well-respected member of family. Although not living close by always kept well informed on all aspects of care given and additional support required from relatives.

I have been delighted with the carers who were chosen to attend to my needs. Each one is friendly and I enjoy their company. My needs never seem to be too much and I am usually asked what other tasks I would like done, no job is too much. They are my friends and are totally trustworthy.

I broke my right arm two days before my Husband was due to be away for a week. Any movement caused me great pain and I could do very little for myself. The care company were outstanding. By the next morning they had arranged a very experienced carer to live in for five days before my Husband returned. I couldn't have asked more of my carer. She was very attentive and competent, friendly and approachable. She was excellent company and offered me lots of advice and practical help around the house and garden. She cooked all meals, did necessary shopping and even bought me new clothes. I felt completely at ease with her and in very good hands.

I began working in the childcare sector in 2011. I completed an apprenticeship for my Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young people’s workforce. From here, I worked my way up and became a Deputy Manager of a large nursery chain in Basingstoke. After having my own child, I spent two years working in a busy HR office within a large chain of Nurseries and began working in recruitment. I recruited for over 42 Nurseries across the UK and helped people to find various roles within this sector. In 2020, I joined Home Instead during the pandemic as a Recruiter.

As a Recruiter, it’s important I find the right people to join our Home Instead family. I am here to assist our Care Professionals through their journey with us to help them feel supported and excited about their role. I love meeting new people and playing a part to help make a real difference to people in the community that need our help.
