I was recommended Home Instead by a local healthcare worker. I am delighted I accepted her advice. My mother has 3 different carers each week and she likes them all, their company, their help, and their discretion. It has made living at home (where she wants to be) possible. I appreciate the regular
reports received each week of all the visits made by the carers, and also appreciate feedback from the local administrator. Home Instead gives me support and care for my mother and peace of mind for me. I fully recommend the service they provide.

I am very pleased with the card that Mum is having.
All the ladies who go in to see Mum are pleasant and helpful.
She enjoys their visits.
They help her with getting meals ready and washing and ironing they provide Mum with conversation and have offered to take her out as well.

The two regular carers are absolutely superb. They each have a complete skill range and the initiative to use those skills. They are also delightful people, courteous, friendly yet professional at all times. 20/10 to each one.

The support given by Home Instead to my mother has far exceeded our expectations. On one occasion the care pro found her on the floor and arranged an emergency response, staying until they arrived. The care pros have also attended on an unscheduled occasion when we couldn't reach her on the phone.
I
would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to anyone looking to provide a relative with additional safety and support, regardless of how complex their needs.

The quality of care has been outstanding at every level, from the care professionals themselves to the managers, who have ensured excellent support and communication on a daily basis. The setting up of this provision was detailed and tailored to my mum-in-law's individual needs. The daily feedback via
the app has alerted us to issues we might not have otherwise picked up. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Mum has had a daily visit from Home Instead ladies for the last few weeks. Their visits have made a big difference to Mum. Everyone who has visited has been friendly and caring and their visits have helped improve Mum’s low mood. As well as companionship they have helped with all the little things that
otherwise would have to wait for my brother and I to visit. They have taken Mum to the shops or brought her shopping and helped Mum with some jobs in her home. As well as chatting with Mum they have given a sympathetic ear when Mum was feeling very low and the kindness of these ladies has been very much appreciated.

Only been using this company for over 1 week but very happy so far.
My mother was initially against the service but is mellowing gradually due to the attitude of the carers she has met.

Home Instead visit my father daily for an hour and he enjoys them all coming. They adapt their services to his needs and include accompanying him on a short walk, taking him to local appointments, preparing a hot meal or a sandwich meal for later and, most importantly, offering companionship.
The carers
are all very different personalities but all treat him with respect and courtesy and understanding. They adapt to changes in routine easily and are observant as to what needs doing, like putting washing away etc.
There is a regular review of his care needs and I am involved with this at his request.

The standard of care provided by Home Instead is excellent, and both the carers and support staff have provided a top-class service. My mum has been a client for many years, and we have always found the carers and companions to be kind, friendly and approachable. They follow up on things that need doing

I cannot praise the professional care that Home Instead provide for my mother enough. All the care professionals are wonderful, warm, caring people who have helped my mother so much even when she doesn’t want to be helped. Living with dementia is difficult enough for loved ones, but the two carers are
just wonderful with her and make her life so much easier for her and for her family.

I contacted Home Instead late December 2023 to ask for help for companionship for my mum - initially for a couple of afternoons a week.
Even though it was the Christmas/New Year period I got the quickest and most helpful of replies - and I met their area manager the following week with Mum. The manager
came to Mum's house and was fantastic, professional but friendly and so understanding of both our needs.
After completing the paperwork and chatting with us for a good two hours (extremely thorough which is just what is needed), we came up with an initial plan for Mum.
The manager went away, completed all the relevant details and contacted me 24 hours later. The following week we started the twice-weekly visits for Mum - the manager matched the 'companions' for mum so well! Obviously the same person each week, Mum gets on so well with them both, they are kind, caring and compassionate whilst also knowing all mum's needs via an app which me and my sister have access too, brilliant.
Just fantastic.

All of my contact with Home Instead has been very good. They were very thorough and comprehensive in their care. Unfortunately, we had to cancel. This was not due to Home Instead. Home Instead was very understanding about us having to cancel. I would definitely use Home Instead in the future.

My mother recently started some in-home care with Home Instead. She has been dealing with Parkinson's disease since her 40s, and both mum and my dad have coped very well alone. She is now in her 70s and in the past year or two has developed very severe spinal pain, and been diagnosed with cancer. It
has just reached the point that they need help. None of us knew what to expect. Having met the carers and spent time with them and my parents, I cannot recommend them enough. They provide the personal care mum needs, but in addition, if she is having a better day, they will help out with housework, or just provide companionship - playing a game or just having a chat. There are plans for them to take Mum shopping sometime. I cannot comment on the value for money, as this was very sudden, and Home Instead came recommended by my mum's Parkinson's care worker, so we did not shop around. I live in Canada, and am happy/reassured that my parents are getting this wonderful help.

Home Instead and its care professionals provide excellent daily service for my father-in-law and mother-in-law.
They are both in their late eighties with a number of health conditions. The service provided by Home Instead helps them to maintain their independence and stay living in their own home.
The
office is very responsive to any requests from the family and the care professionals are all very friendly and helpful.
They write excellent daily care notes in the app which also records tasks completed and has the ability to make comments. The family can access these notes via the app.
The care plan is also available on the app and is reviewed regularly.
Home Instead visits are a minimum of one hour long, which means there is no need to rush anything and the care professionals refer to the family if there is a need to stay longer for any reason.
The service is not the cheapest but we feel the excellent care provided is worth it. Especially as most of the family live a long distance away.

When my father moved into an assisted living apartment we realised that he needed help with personal and domestic help. He was also quite lonely so needed companionship as well. All the professional carers from Home Instead have been fantastic. They looked after my father with great compassion. I have
recently moved my father to be nearer to where I live, I wish I could have taken the professional carers with us but we are now out of their working area. I have though contacted my local branch of Home Instead to take over. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Home Instead (Ilkley & Skipton).

We have been really impressed with the care and understanding Home Instead has provided for our Mother for the last couple of years. They have adapted to her changing needs and also supported the family to be able to cover additional family activities. The caregivers are carefully chosen to give the
appropriate level of care needed and it has been really appreciated that they try, as much as possible, to keep the same people visiting. The carers who have visited have built up a great relationship with her and Mum feels able to trust them. They are generally able to adjust and be flexible to the support needed on a day-to-day basis depending on how Mum is feeling. The office team are quick to deal with any queries and the opportunity to review and update the care plan is helpful. Thank you for all you do.

I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough. Not only does my mum receive sympathetic, courteous and friendly personal care but she has been invited, and goes to, extra social events like fish and chip lunches, singing and cake afternoons and a Christmas party. All unexpected and a lovely chance for
Mum to get out and meet some different people. Mum’s personal care helper was chosen carefully to match her personality and she always has time to chat and even think of ways to encourage her to maintain her mobility.
