My mother, with progressing dementia, has been supported brilliantly by the Home Instead team over the last 4.5 years. They are a credit to the profession with all caregivers and office staff consistently providing friendly, responsive, caring and attentive service. The team members are well introduced and long-serving so Mum is comfortable with them and happy to see them. They are flexible, show initiative and as a team provide every care that Mum needs, sometimes "going that extra mile" to support her. As a daughter living a long way from Mum I have always felt supported by the office staff and Care Givers to provide what Mum needs and in particular their communication responsiveness is excellent. They have made a huge difference to Mum's well-being and by extension that of the rest of the family.
'Thank you for the lovely review Sara. It has been our pleasure to care for your mum over the last 4.5 years and support her with her changing needs. The CAREGivers know her so well and are very fond of her as she is of them! We are pleased we can offer you peace of mind that she is in safe hands with you living further away.'
We have used Home Instead Ilkley for almost two years now and they have been totally reliable and very professional. They visit my mother and stepfather, who both have dementia, for an hour each morning and then for an hour on two evenings of the week. All the Caregivers have been very friendly with a lovely disposition and my parents really look forward to them coming. I would not hesitate in recommending Home Instead to anybody.
'Thank you Peter for your lovely review. It has been great to see the relationships form between your mother, step father and the CAREGivers - I know they all get along very well with them and look forward to their regular visits too.'
I cannot recommend Home Instead Ilkley highly enough. They provide care to my mum who has dementia and disabilities, and we would be lost without them. The carers are kind and are really lovely, and all go the extra mile for my mum. The organisation is superb, and all the staff who coordinate the care work really hard, and nothing is too much trouble. We had a recent crisis, and they went above and beyond to help us. If you want a care agency that really does care, then this is it.
Thank you for your lovely comments, Caroline. It is a real pleasure to be supporting your mum and we know how fond the CAREGivers are of her. We are glad we were able to support your mum through the recent crisis - it's what we are here for.'
The people who came in that role have shared interests with my husband and are never stuck for conversation with him. He likes nothing better than telling his stories and to have people who share the interest and are genuinely interested in him and in getting to know him is great.
At this stage this service allows me to have some much needed time off. It is also filling a longer term aim, my husband is getting used to other people coming into the house to help, they are getting to know him before the dementia steels more of him away.
They treat him with respect and he enjoys their visits and looks forward to them.
We are notified if there are any changes to the times of the visits, but they are always on the same day and roughly the same time, for us so I can make plans. Very happy.
Thank you for lovely review, Margaret. It is lovely to hear that your husband is getting along so well with his CAREGivers, I know that they feel the same! We are pleased to hear that you are getting the break you need, knowing that he is in good company.'
We would highly recommend them to anyone who is serious about getting the best possible care for themselves or a loved one.
'Thank you for your lovely words, Jayne. The CAREGivers are very fond of your dad and it is a pleasure to support him. I am also pleased to hear that we are able to put your mind at ease knowing that your dad is in safe hands.'
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your friendly, professional and deeply caring services to my deceased friend's husband over the last eighteen months. He has progressive memory loss and your practical suggestions and help have enabled him to stay in his own home as things get a bit worse for him. You have provided sympathetic and cheerful companionship and daily care and often gone the extra mile for me and him. Your communication skills with me have been exemplary. I think the care you have provided and continue to provide has been absolutely superb.
Thank you for your kind review. It's a pleasure to care for your friend and its lovely to hear such positive comments about our team. We'll be sure to pass on your comments to our Caregivers.
Caregivers, in the main, were very, very good.
Excellent service from initial phone call through to caregivers, and they are wonderful with my mum. Great communication with me and very flexible during difficult situations. Gave me great peace of mind and tremendous support.
All the workers had a genuine personality approach. They were caring and skilful and pleasant natured to have around the home. Friendly, efficient, caring and genuine. Able to adapt to whatever they encountered in a positive and pleasant way. It was always nice to see friendly faces that helped without upsetting the home balance. Well done wonderful workers. Thank you
Thank you for your kind comments. It has been a genuine pleasure getting to know you both and best wishes from all of us at Home Instead.
My mother took ill whilst visiting from Ireland at Christmas. When she was released from hospital I took time off work to help her recover. I needed some help with Mum so I could return to work. The care manager was fantastic. She agreed to find a carer to suit and she did. Mum was not keen on receiving help, but our carer was totally professional, kind and patient. With the help of Home Instead, I was able to return to work and Mum eventually returned home. Thank you!
Thank you for such a great review. The whole team enjoyed supporting your mum and we send our best wishes.
Over the last few years, the help and care my mother has received from Home Instead Ilkley has been exemplary. The people who have visited with her to take her shopping and take her out have been lovely and my mother has very much enjoyed their visits. She has especially enjoyed the outings arranged by Home Instead to a stately home and to a well-known retailer archive that she has been on recently. With the help of Home Instead, she has been able to stay in her own home for as long as she has (she is now 100) and much longer than she might have been able to otherwise. But we all agree, her included, that the time has come for her to move to a care home where she will have people on hand to help her when she needs it.
It has been a privilege to support your mother and we are all so pleased to hear that we have made a difference.
Early days, but so far we are very happy with Home Instead. The team are friendly, caring and very professional. My aunt's feedback is very positive and feels the staff are kind and treat her with respect and kindness. The office staff are helpful, friendly and professional and are happy to deal with any queries or concerns. So reassuring to know that my aunt is receiving such good care. Thank you.
Home Instead has made a great difference in my life I now have more time to spend with my husband who is totally blind. They also have a little time for myself.
Thank you very much.
From the outset, they have been brilliant. The caregivers have been excellent and have built up a good relationship with Mum. The company is well run and nothing is too much trouble. We are notified immediately of any problems and they have always shown genuine care and concern for Mum's wellbeing.
We have been using Home Instead since 2017 and this has allowed us to keep Mum in her own home for as long as possible. Regrettably, her dementia has progressed and she now needs residential care, but this would have happened much sooner if we had not been able to use them.
Many thanks to all at Home Instead. We would strongly recommend their services to anyone in a similar situation.
Because of early dementia, my mother needed to have care coming into her home in December 2018. We were recommended Home Instead by a neighbourhood volunteer who took Mum shopping each week. They responded promptly to our enquiry about help and were able to start providing care quickly, which was important. They were flexible and worked hard at providing the right care for my mother, and the carers were kind, friendly and competent. Sadly because my mother's condition deteriorated quite quickly we made the decision as a family for her to go into residential care. However, the care and help from Home Instead were valuable in trying to ensure that my mother was safe at home and was eating and managing. We were especially impressed by the helpful response to various phone calls.
It gives me peace of mind and reassurance that she has adequate support and structure. Thank you.
Home Instead rescued us when things were taking a significant turn for the worse with my sister, who has brain cancer, and our previous care arrangements were rapidly falling apart. Home Instead had been recommended by a neighbour, and I phoned them on a Saturday morning and spoke to the director. She then worked tirelessly making arrangements for us all weekend. The director came to visit us on the Sunday, and together with her team put in place a rota of care starting on the Monday.
At all times the Home Instead team gave excellent care and we all have huge praise for their professionalism and caring attitude to my sister and the rest of us. They were always punctual, reliable, thoughtful and caring.
I would thoroughly recommend Home Instead Senior Care Ilkley to anyone looking for care in this area.
Each carer who looks after my mother provides a very high standard of overall care. They show sympathy, kindness, discretion and understanding, and have a very "listening ear". They all go well beyond their call of duty. This reflects the high standards expected by the owner of the agency.
I was extremely impressed with the care provided for both of my parents over a period of twelve months. Mum had mixed dementia and dad had Alzheimer's and the staff from Home Instead Senior Care treated them with sensitivity and compassion. They were punctual, reliable and professional and their level of commitment towards the end of my parents lives was outstanding.
