I did not choose Cera care, my social worker did. This review is true, kept short as 1000 letters isn't much.
Since Cera care came to "care" for me as a physically and mentally disabled man aged 52.
On a daily basis I have;
Missed meds, missed meals, missed prescribed build-up shakes, had my rubbish piled up outside my back door, now I cannot exit in case of an emergency. Twice my freezer has been unplugged even with a freezer do not unplug written in black marker on the plug.
My social worker has asked about the rubbish to be told that I am supposed to have done the rubbish pile!? I cannot, I am on crutches.
I have made complaints by email, no response to any.
I've asked carers to ask for someone to call me, but nobody has called me.
But I have had a large bill!. I shall be contesting at the small claims court; to claim damages for the rubbish to be cleared and pest control to come to get rid of the rats. It is disgusting. Yuk
No care provided to my dad at all. Carers go in then leave within minutes. The carer this evening sat in his car, went into Dad for two minutes then sat back in his car smoking a cigarette. A neighbour has gone in to give my dad a drink and some food. This neglect happens on every visit if there is a visit. My dad is neglected by the so called carers on a daily basis. This company is a disgrace. If I could rate below 1 star I would give zero.
Dear Julie, we are sorry to see that you have concerns over the quality of care given. This is of great concern to us and we are investigating fully internally, your complaint has been escalated to regional management, if you have any further information to assist us in this investigation or wish to discuss further, please contact us via hello@ceracare.co.uk
I don’t have a lot to say. Some careers are lovely, some are hopeless, helpless and careless. The office staff give you lip service and I totally agree with the other reviewer, it’s all about the money. Invoices are not sent in any order, they are not correct money-wise at times. They are always asking you to set up a direct debit. No, that’s not happening till you get it right. I’ve had enough.
Staff are in and out and the service gets worse after the lunchtime visits. The evenings are so inconsistent and on occasion don't happen at all and my relative does not get a meal.
There is no choice of male or female care staff and preferences of male or female requests are ignored.
Staff do not appear to follow the care plan either with the times allocated or with the support required. Again the morning support is better than the tea and evening support. Management do not call you back or apologise.
Premier Care arrived at our house unannounced, having been sent to cover for another agency's holiday staff shortage. No PPE gloves on arrival in the middle of pandemic. Left blinds wide open during personal care. No sliding sheet used to transfer. Catheter bag trapped, no urine flow possible. Next day male carer arrived and attempted personal care with no PPE mask on his face. When asked why he wasn't wearing mask he said he didn't need to. No respect for basic safety. No feedback from company when reported, no apology for neglect. They don't care as long as they are paid. Keep well away from them.
Premier Care stepped in to provide care at very short notice as the regular provider was short of staff. We are sorry that there was no time to let the client know before our carers arrived. One of the carers washed her hands on arrival before putting on gloves. The blinds were left open as it was...
