All About Home Care

The wonderful carers from All About Home Care visited my father for a little over two years up until his death in December. Recently widowed, he had relocated from abroad to live alone for the first time in his life. Despite the challenges of dementia, he was determined to live independently and this was possible with carer visits fitting so well around family days. As a registered nurse myself, I could not fault the exemplary care my father received, always professional and intuitive to his changing needs. He looked forward to the visits, sharing his love of opera and classical music, and enjoying fun trips out. The reports completed with each visit were reassuring and a vital line of communication with family as my father became progressively non-verbal. His last two weeks were made so much easier for him when his 'favourite' carer visited him in hospital. From the whole family, thank you so much for looking after our dear dad with such dignity and kindness. We will always be grateful.

All the carers were professional and caring. All the carers really cared about my parents and went out of their way for them. Communication was very good, I always seemed to know what was happening. The month of November last year was a challenge and not only did they look after my parents but also cared and supported me, offering very good advice. The care industry is struggling there is a shortage of staff and they work long hours. Home Care seemed to address this as well as they could. They did their best to ensure continuity of care using just a small team to care for my parents. I would definitely recommend them.

For about two years my husband has been receiving daily help to wash and dress. At all times the staff have been respectful and unhurried. The fact that a call is a minimum of one hour means the visit is not rushed and there is usually time for a coffee and a chat. A great help for me!

I am incredibly grateful to All About Home Care and their staff for the time, care and attention they gave to my father over the last years of his life. I know that he could sometimes be a challenging individual but they always continued to provide a professional service that could be wholly relied upon, morning, noon and night. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs to make care arrangements for someone, for their dependability, care and professionalism.

The carers have been helping my mum for around a year now and are exceptional. Highly professional, friendly, and so caring they cannot be faulted. Mum reports that she always feels comfortable with them helping her wash and dress and having them in the house. Office staff also have been wonderful, rearranging visits to fit with hospital clinic appointments has been simple and straightforward and communication has been excellent. I feel reassured knowing mum is getting such good care from people she is so happy with; she always looks forward to their visits.

My need was to have assistance with showering and dressing to avoid my having to bend at the hip to dry and dress my legs and feet, following a left hip replacement. Each of the carers who helped me was so kind, polite, and efficient, so over the period of my six-week recovery, it was a pleasure to receive their assistance.

I cannot praise the carers at All About Home Care enough. From the moment they came out to assess our dear friend and her needs, I felt so reassured that they would provide the care and support she needed. They kept me updated regularly and nothing was ever too much trouble. They displayed such kindness, professionalism and outstanding care at all times. I’m so grateful to you all.

We have an amazing team supporting my partner, his carers are always on time, very professional, maintain the highest levels of care, and have been extremely adaptable over time to his changing care needs. They have wonderful bubbly personalities which complement his sense of humour resulting in some great banter! The communication and proactive support from the care manager has been first class too. Fantastic experience with All About Home Care. Did companionship visits for my Nan who had dementia. Very friendly staff, my Nan sang the praises of all the carers who visited her. All staff very friendly and made the process of getting carers less daunting and easy. Brilliant care company.

My father has been living with us in a separate annex for the past two years. After the third Covid-19 lockdown, it became clear that we needed extra support in caring for him, as his mobility had decreased drastically and he was finding it hard to feel motivated to get out of bed. His dementia had advanced too as a result of a lack of stimulation and socialising. I found All About Home Care while doing some online research and was impressed by their glowing reviews and the training all the carers have in looking after patients with dementia. From the moment I got in touch, All About Home Care could not have been more friendly and professional. The Manager came for an assessment visit and put together a care package that suited my father and us. He has three carers on the rota who each visit daily and has established strong levels of trust with them. He enjoys the routine and it gives us comfort to know he is being stimulated in the day when we are both working.

I have nothing but praise for All About Home Care. My mother who suffered with dementia suddenly needed care in January 2020 and I initially had to wait for about six weeks before All About Home Care were able to provide carers. I had been impressed with the care manager from the outset and was prepared to wait until the appropriate carers were available and in that time I used an alternative care agency. It was a huge disappointment. As soon as All About Home Care took over care I knew who would be attending my mother, when they would be arriving and was able to read a well documented report about what they had done and how my mother was. This was so reassuring. All the carers made a huge effort to develop a rapport with my mother, not always easy in the early days when she didn’t appreciate that she needed help and over the year as her needs changed, her care needs were discussed and altered as necessary. The commitment of the carers meant that my mother was able to stay in her own home up until her passing.

From the very first telephone call, I have been very impressed with this company. They make a great effort when taking on a new client to ensure that they have a full understanding of the client and their likes/needs. The care manager is always very helpful and contactable (sometimes outside of office hours), she genuinely cares about providing an excellent service. There is always a prompt response to any query and request for additional shopping. The carers are always prompt and reliable and engage with care and kindness to my mother-in-law. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Following a fall and hospital stay, we needed help with my elderly mum who lives with us. We are so glad to have found All About Home Care. The Manager and carers that come to us are so professional and compassionate. The carers that attend daily are totally reliable and proactive in mum's care. Mum was reluctant to accept outside help from the family but the carers are so understanding and knowledgeable that this transition has been very smooth. As well as personal care, the carers do companionship visits too and I can leave mum knowing she is in the very best hands. A very professional Company to deal with, the staff that attend are fantastic.

My Mum has had carers from All about Home Care for the last 5 years. Over this time we have found all the carers professional, caring, supportive and understanding of my Mum's needs. The only reason we are sadly having to leave this company is because my Mum now needs 24-hour care. The Management Team have also always been extremely supportive. Whenever we have needed extra care they have always tried to accommodate her. My Mum and I will miss them, not just because they are professional and supportive but they are so kind and all the carers come in with a friendly smile and caring approach even if they have a busy schedule. I would certainly highly recommend All About Home Care.

AAHC has been totally reliable and helpful throughout the time my mother had carers at her home. The individual carers were at all times professional, kind and caring; despite their busy schedules they never rushed the client. They had a great back up from the management, and I was particularly impressed with the advice and care given to the way in which my mother's care had to be adapted and increased as her needs changed. I have already recommended them.

I guess like most people for us selecting a care agency was a one-off process. My wife and I undertook to do it with my mother (the client). We had a personal recommendation for All About Home Care. The initial interview was very business like and we were told from the outset that care would not be put in place until staff were fully available. We had to wait for a few weeks before care could start. To date, my mother has been a client for 18 months and has never been let down. Initially, care was just for mornings but it has been necessary to increase it to three times a day more recently. At that point, the agency was very quick to provide the extra support needed. Above all the staff are excellent, professional, attentive, kind and helpful - we can only commend All About Home Care for having an excellent and very successful recruitment policy. In retrospect, the initial wait was so worthwhile, so good to start with an organisation which ensures it can deliver the service needed.

In June, during the Coronavirus crisis, care home staff recommended my husband and I contact All About Home Care to provide help for his mother who had fallen and was no longer coping independently. We were not permitted to visit so could not help. The Registered Care Manager was friendly and professional, assessed her needs the next day and organised for carers to visit starting the following day. As her needs increased, the Care Manager suggested solutions and increased the care package. She was very supportive, always positive and helpful and so were her team. They went out of their way on more than one occasion including when the GP practice sent a prescription to the wrong chemist so they ended up wasting their time collecting it. I was impressed that the minimum care offered is one hour but that when more care was needed the odd extra half-hour slot was fitted in so the lady concerned was alone for less time each day.

We cannot praise All About Home Care highly enough.
