Overall Experience

I guess like most people for us selecting a care agency was a one-off process. My wife and I undertook to do it with my mother (the client). We had a personal recommendation for All About Home Care. The initial interview was very business like and we were told from the outset that care would not be

put in place until staff were fully available. We had to wait for a few weeks before care could start. To date, my mother has been a client for 18 months and has never been let down. Initially, care was just for mornings but it has been necessary to increase it to three times a day more recently. At that point, the agency was very quick to provide the extra support needed. Above all the staff are excellent, professional, attentive, kind and helpful - we can only commend All About Home Care for having an excellent and very successful recruitment policy. In retrospect, the initial wait was so worthwhile, so good to start with an organisation which ensures it can deliver the service needed.

In June, during the Coronavirus crisis, care home staff recommended my husband and I contact All About Home Care to provide help for his mother who had fallen and was no longer coping independently. We were not permitted to visit so could not help. The Registered Care Manager was friendly and professional,

assessed her needs the next day and organised for carers to visit starting the following day. As her needs increased, the Care Manager suggested solutions and increased the care package. She was very supportive, always positive and helpful and so were her team. They went out of their way on more than one occasion including when the GP practice sent a prescription to the wrong chemist so they ended up wasting their time collecting it. I was impressed that the minimum care offered is one hour but that when more care was needed the odd extra half-hour slot was fitted in so the lady concerned was alone for less time each day.

We highly recommend All About Home Care for the reasons below.
Both my parents are in their late 80s and need help to stay in their own home (in accordance to their wishes). We had previously used another care company. Moving to All About Home Care was a very good decision. The manager and her team

of dedicated carers have been fantastic, and the physical and mental wellbeing of my parents has improved since they have taken over. The manager is great and communicates very clearly with us. They are a dedicated and highly professional team who are able to adapt to changing care needs.
We cannot praise All About Home Care highly enough.

My father and I have been using All About Home Care for mum for several years now. It started with three morning visits a week but as my mother's Alzheimer's has progressed we are now having two visits every day. We are extremely happy with all the care and support from all of the team. The carers are

always on time, compassionate, caring and always professional. The care manager is always in constant contact with me and keeping me up to date with everything.
I would definitely recommend All About Home Care.

So pleased we chose All About Home Care when looking for this kind of help for Mum. From initial enquiry 4 months ago, through interview and then wobbly acceptance from Mum at the beginning, we now have a really great carer who Mum looks forward to seeing twice a day. Especially now, through these uncertain

I would have no hesitation in recommending All About Homecare who supported my mum with her care for 10 months with up to 3 visits/day. I found the team were reliable, caring, consistent and trustworthy. Communication was excellent and I had regular discussions with the manager who was a constant support

and all suggestions were met with an empathetic, "can do" attitude. An example would be that routine was very important to my mum and visits were always absolutely on time without exception. I totally understand the dilemma and stress for relatives and carers when searching for the best care for their loved ones and so would not post a positive review lightly. From my experience, I can do so without hesitation.

Overall Experience

I have a weekly visit at present and my carer is a friendly, caring lady. She gives a thoroughly good service and is happy to carry out all allotted tasks. Visits have always been on the days and times arranged and I look forward to her warm and friendly “hello”.

I was thoroughly assessed at the

start and am well impressed by the documentation I have been given.

This sets out my medical profile and has a section for ongoing reports by the carer, of all work carried out at each visit. My accounts from the office are clearly set out and easy to understand.

As my need for care becomes greater I feel confident that this excellent service will continue. I am confident that I have chosen the right company to care for my future needs.

I would happily recommend All About Home Care to anyone who needs care. They have shown a determination to look after me in a very professional manner and they are lovely people!

From the initial communication with Homecare and any discussions or questions since commencing with them I have found them very easy and professional to deal with and would highly recommend them.
My mother has Alzheimer’s and I am her full-time carer but using Homecare to give me a break each week

has been invaluable. She is taken out by a delightful lady who treats mum with full respect and the dignity she deserves and this has developed a wonderful friendship with her. She is offering invaluable support to us both.

It has been a great way to introduce other carers to mum which will, in turn, make it easier to use others to help me as time goes on and I need more support.
I would definitely recommend Homecare to anyone who was looking for this type of service.

I can recommend this agency unreservedly. My mother is very well supported by the same carer each week. Indeed, she looks forward to her visits.
The carer is always well dressed and performs her duties to a very high standard.
I am also impressed by the detailed and accurate reporting.
At present,

my mother is able to perform most duties in the home for herself but as her condition gets worse I will have no hesitation in increasing the visits.

My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 4 years ago and as her condition deteriorated she needed increasing home care to help her remain independent but safe. We started with one carer visiting once a day, for an hour, five days a week and finished with 3 visits, for 4 hours a day, 7 days a week. The

Manager at All About Home Care was always friendly and professional, putting together a team of carers my mother and I came to rely on for everything. They helped her stay living independently for much longer than she would otherwise have been able to and gave us peace of mind, knowing that if there were a problem, we would be notified straight away.

I would have no hesitation in recommending All About Home Care to anyone considering employing a caring, friendly homecare agency.

All About Home Care have provided an extremely professional and reliable service since we started using the company to provide personal care for our mother over a year ago. The carers are always friendly and well trained. The excellent care provided is not rushed due to the provision of adequate travel

time between calls to the carers and we always know that the carer will arrive on time.
The manager has been very supportive when care needs have changed and it has been easy to add extra visits during the day when needed, both long-term to provide additional help and short-term when our parents needed extra support due to illness.
Earlier this year, the agency began to provide care for our father too and again this was no trouble with the carers taking time to understand the best way to support him so that he was comfortable with the care being provided.

Life has been easier since All About Home Care were recommended to me. The hourly rate is higher than our first agency but I feel this is worthwhile: the level of management, liaison and reliability is much better, and the care is not rushed. There have been a few occasions when the carer has alerted

me to health issues - including potentially life-saving - and I feel they have her best interests at heart. They took the time to understand her, are sensitive to her drive for independence, and will experiment with different approaches until they work out what's best for mum. When I am worried about mum, AAHC's Manager has been a good sounding board and a reliable source of advice. The best testament I can give is that mum's health has improved. Despite various ailments, at 91 she is not on any medication, has avoided surgery that was thought inevitable, is enjoying living independently in her own home, and - thankfully - gets the encouragement she needs to stay clean.

Overall Experience

I have a form of motor neurone disease and have been using All About Home Care for 6 months. They are exceptionally good.
The carers are friendly, attentive and listen to me, which I welcome. They are also punctual so I never worry about whether or not they will be attending, which wasn't the case

with my former care company.
The management set high standards. They ensure that carers are properly trained and motivated, and allow sufficient time between visits so that, if I need extra time, my carers can provide it without constantly looking at the clock. I think that the management's view is that, if they have happy clients and happy staff then everything else will fall into place.
Finally, not only would I recommend All About Home Care, I have!

Overall Experience

My mother was eighty-eight years old and lived alone. She had a distressing reaction to an operation in June and needed care and support at home. We contacted All About Home Care and had a visit from their manager to access my mother's needs. She was very professional and reassuring. We agreed on a

care plan which was quickly put into place.
The carers were absolutely lovely. They took time and patience with my mother, who has moderate dementia and the Manager kept in constant contact with me. Most of the time it was the same carers so my mother had familiarity. Not living locally, it was a huge relief to know my mother was well cared for and secure.
I would recommend All About Home Care without any reservations, they are a professional caring company.
