Thanks to the support of the staff at Right at Home Solent, my parents were able to stay in their own home for as long as possible before going into a residential care home. I am extremely happy with the great work that the carers did, they always went the extra mile and anticipated the needs of my
parents and kept me informed. The service we received from all of the carers and the administrative support from the office was first rate and I would have no hesitation in recommending the company to others looking for care in the home. The job that the carers do is not an easy job, and I am very grateful to each individual at the company who ensured my parents were well supported throughout the 3 plus years that we used them.

Service cared for my mum and stepfather from January 2022. All of the carers without exception were wonderfully caring and gentle. My mum had withdrawn into herself through loss of vision, the first time I left her with her carer, I came back to find her doing the conga with the carer and laughing her
head off. They would update me with any issues they were concerned with. A massive thank you to all.

The care and thoughtfulness provided by carers attending my mum throughout the week are delivered by a truly wonderful team. Mum usually has regular lady care for her sorting out hot meals, snacks and drinks but on two visits it is for personal care and hygiene with hair washing and setting. She is
a true gem and has struck up a lovely relationship with mum based on trust and understanding. Because I have recently asked to increase the visits obviously we are now seeing new ladies coming in to care. They each have the quality of delivering a personal and very caring service. Two new ladies very recently made my mum’s Sunday with some lovely conversations and mum was left feeling very upbeat. Every visit and the care given is one less worry for me. I have a lot of family and full time work to juggle and I know if there are any concerns, I will get a phone call straight away to discuss it.

I have been receiving daily visits from a variety of Right at Home caregivers for about three years and I believe that my life would be significantly worse without these visits. I have been able to maintain an outwardly independent life and have remained safe in my own home.
The carers are punctual
and cheerful and offer support and practical suggestions in managing my problems. In the last few weeks I have been troubled by urinary incontinence and I am impressed by how the carers helped me manage this problem.
I believe that the staff are honest and trustworthy.
Recently the office staff raised concerns about my deteriorating mobility with my GP surgery (with my agreement) and this has resulted in an improvement in the care offered by physio and OT staff.
I am impressed by how they have managed covid restrictions.

Mum was diagnosed with Dementia nearly three years ago and was managing at home, very independent, self caring and even driving. Unfortunately as expected, with her memory declining, at the end of 2020, it became clear that she was no longer managing. Mum agreed to move nearer so that we could help.
Shortly after the house move, mum's health rapidly declined, not only her dementia but physically. This was a shock for all and quite honestly we thought we had 'missed the boat' at keeping her in her own home. After a spell in hospital and a short post-discharge care package, we needed to find a solution.
The caring and professional team at 'Right at Home Solent' have enabled mum to stay in her own home, promoting and now maintaining some independence. The visits from the carers have given mum the much-needed support during the day from help with personal care, medication reminders, meal preparation and companionship. The carers have been wonderful. Would thoroughly recommend it.

I want to thank Right At Home for the amazing care they have given to my 93-year-old uncle!
While I have been unwell myself, they have done everything possible to look after him for me, including shopping at very short notice. They constantly keep me updated on all his care, and have also phoned me,
to see if I was OK! I cannot recommend them enough! A care agency of the highest standard.

Fantastic service. We changed from one care provider to Right at Home and it was the best decision we ever made. They look after mum as if she were their own relative. Communication between the agency and family is excellent. If mum needs anything we are told the same day. I cannot thank the carers
enough. It meant that mum, who has dementia, can live at home where she is comfortable and in an environment that she knows.

Carers are kind and helpful. They are very good in looking after my wife who has a rare dementia and has no communication.
They attend early in the morning and shower and dress her and other personal care.

My grandma has Dementia. Having cared for her over the last few years has taken its toll on myself and the family. The service provided by Right At Home has been incredible. The caregivers were friendly and communicated well. My grandma resisted the caregivers initially however after the first few sessions
they had become friends and enjoyed her time spent with them. The love and care given was excellent. Highly recommended Right at Home Solent.

Always very accommodating and very prompt response when a concern is raised. The only concern for my mum is that the turnover of the care workers is very rapid and that often upsets my mother, as elderly people thrive on a familiar face.

We used Right at Home Solent after my grandma came out of hospital following a Covid-19 admission. She was frail and required help with personal care and other daily tasks. Right at Home Solent were able to commence a short-term package of care to support her whilst she recovered.
My grandma was initially
quite reluctant to receive the additional help but the caregivers quickly endeared themselves to her. My grandma's main language is Gujarati so one of the caregivers requested that my grandma teach her how to say common greetings in Gujarati. This caregiver then wrote it down for the other caregivers to use. This is just one small example of how the person-centred ethos of the company is reflected by its team.
We are very grateful for the speed at which they picked up my grandma's care and the open communication they had with us. Luckily, my grandma doesn't need the extra help any longer but I wouldn't hesitate to call them again if the need arose. Thank you Right at Home Solent!

Hello – my name is Kev Popat and I am the Managing Director of Right at Home Solent.


Right at Home Solent exists solely to improve the lives of those we care for, not merely maintaining their quality of life but with a genuine focus on improvement.


I truly believe that everyone deserves the right to quality care, the same sort of care that I would want my Gran to receive. And nothing but the best would suffice for my Gran! Likewise, nothing but the best should suffice for any member of your family.


I’m fortunate to have been brought up in a joint family home, so spent most of my early years with my grandparents whilst my parents were working hard to secure a future for my brother and myself. I have so many fond memories of these initial years (mostly drinking tea and eating biscuits!). Imagining my Gran receiving care from someone who has no interest in her is the reason I’m here today.


There is no better feeling in the world than making someone’s day; the team we are putting together will be making people’s days, every single day.

As Operations Director, I manage the daily operations of the business to ensure effective planning and overall efficiency. I go on-site to supervise and evaluate middle management. I also lead recruitment and address questions and concerns from staff, address problems and shortcomings, and provide insight to streamline the business.


I have further interest in ensuring we are fully integrated with the local community we serve.
