Some carers are more chatty than others. The interest in their job varies a lot. Some seem a bit confused by the microwave. They are very flexible when we want to cancel on odd days. Easy to contact and quick replies.

Generally Ok. Started in December and had some minor teething problems but seems OK now.

Care good when regular carers visit.

More social time needed with mother when basics finished.

Reply from Mr King Lawal, Executive Director at Mega Resources Nursing & Care - Bedfordshire
Thank you for your review, we have taken your concerns into consideration and we will do our best as always to ensure you are receiving your preferred care professionals at your visits.

We will discuss with the local authorities to see if we can increase your care allowance, in the hope of granting some more time for social.

Most of the carers are excellent - especially two in particular who are both professional and very friendly.

Happy to have Mega look after my father, especially as the carers let me know by phone or text if there are any problems.

The staff from Mega Care are good at listening to what's needed and responding to a high standard.
They are kind, upbeat and enthusiastic, encouraging and attentive - first class.
When there have been any issues, the managers have phoned me and discussed options and solutions.

Altogether a professional approach focusing on my mum's needs.

Staff who visit Mum appear to treat her with dignity, some engage very well.
However, the use of mobile phones for social media when feeding Mum is not a good thing. Although my mother shows no recognition of carers they still need to engage with her - not their phone.
Some carers though are excellent but on balance, I've marked good.

The efficiency of some carers is less than others.

This company has looked after me very well and have always tried hard to meet my complex needs. If there was an option for very good that would have been ticked.
I suffer from severe tremors so my mother has to write and sign for me.

I have always been considered and dealt with promptly.

I started using Mega Care in the March of 2017 to assist with me in the mornings of personal care. I find that most carers that come are very considerate, professional mostly on the time stated.
As of all aspects of most jobs, some workers are better than others but in most cases, I ask if they can help out with creaming my legs with the arthritic cream, they always help which is always in my stated time - which is a great help to me.

Not only has it helped me out but also my wife feels less stressed and this makes her feel able to cope with other things in our lives.

We appreciate your review, we will continue to do our very best to ensure that not only most of our Carer's are giving you the thorough support and enablement that you require, but we will ensure that all of them are.

My carers are friendly and I can talk to them about anything. They support me to make decisions about my meal choices and plans for each day.

I had a liver transplant six months ago and they supported me before and after this major operation by being cheerful, encouraging and knowledgeable in their role.

My elderly father was staying with us in Bedford for the month of August as respite when my Scottish family were out of the country (he lives in Glasgow). We had sone real difficulty finding a service that would support us for such a short period of time.

Mega Resources and Nursing Care were wonderful; fully recognised the need and responded quickly with a professional and caring support service for Dad.

I was particularly impressed with the level of social engagement with Dad as an individual aside from the very practical personal care he required. Any issues that we needed to highlight were talked through and dealt with sensitively.

When we started with megacare there were times they were efficient but at times lacked coming on time. The main concern was morning time as I get ready for going to work and the carer had not arrived or a new one comes and asks me what needs to be done thus making me late for work. As time went on carers changed and have become punctual and my mum has become very happy and attached because they do everything she requires. I'm very happy with their services and so is my mum and so may it continue thanks to all the staff and the carers.

I became a customer of Mega Care since October 2015. I suffer from multiple sclerosis and from the start of my care Mega Care team provided care to a very high standard. They always put my needs first and support me through difficult times. They got to know me for me and stuck to my own routines which made me feel more comfortable. Since getting to know them I cannot fault them in any way.

Urszula Mejsak

Urszula is an indispensable individual within Mega Care.

There is no job title long enough to accurately encapsulate everything that Urszula does for Mega Care, and no praise high enough to accurately describe her.

With unintelligible efficiency, Urszula is able to step in and help with all aspects of the business.

Overseeing the targets set for the branch, the quality and administration of care provided, the maintenance of team morale, training, handling client concerns and ensuring quality are just a small fraction of Urszula's in-branch responsibilities. This excludes the similar service she provides for the other branches of the company.

With this incredible workload, somehow Urszula still finds time to interface with the team and intimately and directly manage Bedford on a day-to-day basis.

You can be absolutely certain that should you need to communicate with Urszula, you will leave the conversation better off than when you started. A truly awe-inspiring team member and person.
