Manorcourt Homecare (Harlow & Loughton)

My wife has needed a carer for four years (half an hour in the morning and a quarter of an hour in the evening for washing and (un)dressing). I have been trying to think of criticism I could make about the carers or management but I can't think of anything. My wife previously had help from a different agency and there was much to criticise. The Manor Court carers are friendly, efficient, patient and helpful and they usually arrive within a quarter of an hour of the appointed time. If they get delayed by more than half an hour, I get a phone call informing me of this. The management are helpful and friendly. I get notified each week of who the carers will be and the time of arrival. I requested female carers only and my request has been respected. There is someone on call at all times, although the latest I have made contact was 10.30 pm. As you can tell from my comments above, I am glad I was pointed in the direction of this agency.

I could not do without them and have been with them for 4 years. I could not be happier. Great service.

My father has deteriorated generally over the past few months. The carers at Manorcourt have been wonderful, even if it's just a chat. If my father has a problem, usually the manager will sort it out together with her team. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them, even calling me when my father has gone out unexpectedly and not told them. Thank you, everyone, at Manorcourt.

From the time they started the care until the finish they were caring and their experience was about the best we could have expected. I cannot complain about one carer or management, they have all been excellent.

My dad has had 2 previous care companies and is now very happy with Manorcourt. Their carers are very caring, sympathetic and understanding. They go above and beyond the call of duty. The carers leave his house clean and tidy. All the carers are incredibly helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you all for looking after my dad. We are grateful knowing that he is looked after.

The Carers here are excellent, also management. They work very hard but always happy and enjoy their work. Also, they work very hard working nights and still caring next day, also in the community. I hope you give them recognition that they really deserve. Thank you.

Amazing service: organised, kind, patient, effective. The brilliant care meant my mother (who has Alzheimer's and has had bowel cancer) could come and stay over Christmas and give my father some well deserved respite. We have been very pleased with the care provided for Mum. The carers are very friendly and supportive and genuinely seem interested in Mum and in meeting her needs. We feel they do a good job looking after her and have her best interests at heart. We have also been very appreciative of the management in their support during the transition of Mum’s care needs, as they have recently increased and are of a very complex nature.

On the whole, my experience with Manor Court is okay, however, my main comments are regarding my regular morning carer, who is absolutely superb. It is important for me to have the "right" carer - someone who I can trust and feel totally safe with. My regular morning carer has that in spades and more. She is one of only two people who I feel able to assist me with a shower, something which requires an enormous amount of trust on my part. She has an exceptional understanding of my needs and insecurities and I have never, ever felt vulnerable with her. I know that however, I am feeling that day it will be okay and anything that needs sorting out she will do it without having to be asked first. Unfortunately, I don't find the evening calls so easy as my regular evening carer has just moved over to days, and I am having a lot of different carers coming in to do the night call which causes some anxiety for me.

All the carers we have had the pleasure to meet have all been extremely kind and helpful.

More to the point, my mum who is 100, has adjusted to the care. Mum is very independant so that is not always easy.

We have excellent care from Manorcourt for my husband. The girls who come in and care for him are all very good. They are very caring and good at what they do for him. I would recommend this company is asked.

My carers are very satisfactory and very pleasant with the service.
