Following the death of my husband (Alzheimer's dementia) who was cared for by Bluebird in his latter years - I felt the need of some domestic/mental support to be continued. Bluebird Care was able to provide this with a weekly session by a trusted reliable lady.

We had an unexpected emergency with my elderly 90 year old mother and were keen to keep her out of hospital, by supporting her at home. I contacted Bluebird (she has a Bluebird carer weekly) who organised carers to go into my mother twice daily to support her with her personal care whilst she was incapacitated, report back to me if she had taken her medications and any other concerns and visits from the District Nurse. They also provided my mother with reassurance and companionship in between family visiting over the long bank holiday weekend - I cannot emphasize the importance of this
The carers, like management, were caring, supportive, reassuring, kind and professional. It is so reassuring to know that Bluebird provide an excellent care service and our family are so very grateful

Carers were always respectful, friendly and patient and before leaving, would check if everything was done.
Staff in admin were polite and actively listened to your requests.
Lead staff were thorough, safety conscious and worked tirelessly to accommodate needs eg early hospital appt

If I had any criticism at all it would be that carer questionnaire completed after visit sometimes took longer than just a few minutes

The care staff who have assisted me over the recent period have been excellent. They have been very willing to not only carry out the necessary tasks but have also been supportive in helping me achieve any extra tasks that are important for my emotional well-being and which help me maintain a feeling of autonomy. On the whole management have always responded to my requests and have been accommodating - which I know in times of high staff absence it can be a task to rearrange & find subsitute care workers! It is always useful to be pre-warned of any change in visiting.

It is said that it takes a village to raise a child. But it also takes a village to care for an elderly person, and for us Bluebird Care is that village. After seven or so years, we have no regrets and are extremely fortunate that they were recommended to us at the beginning of our search for help. As mum says, "I'm so lucky that they come to me. Many other people don't get the good help and care that I do!"

Kate joined Bluebird Care in 2010. Her customer service skills and “can-do” attitude were quickly noticed, and it was not long before she was promoted to Care Supervisor.
After nearly 3 years, Kate left to take a position as Senior Carer at a luxury care home in Bexley, South East London, where she managed a team of carers and gained further valuable insight into the care of vulnerable adults with complex care needs, as well as the management of people.
We’re delighted to have Kate back in the Bluebird Care family, in a new venture where her experience and attitude will be of real benefit.
After many years working for Bluebird Care, Kate has now taken on the exciting new role of Registered Manager.
With her knowledge, experience, and a great team behind her, she looks forward to the new challenges ahead.
Kate says, 'I have always loved and enjoyed my work in health care, so becoming a Registered Manager is the next natural step for me. It is so lovely to be able to do a job I love and make a difference in people's lives.'
I’ve worked in care for over 30 years, starting in residential and nursing homes before moving into hospital and community roles. Supporting people to feel safe, valued and comfortable has always been at the heart of what I do. As Manager of Operations, I now lead and support our teams to deliver high-quality care. I focus on helping people grow in confidence while maintaining strong standards around safety and compliance. I’m proud to be part of Bluebird Care, where people are truly valued. For me, care has always been more than a job - it’s a lifelong commitment to supporting others.
I am excited to have joined Bluebird Care at the start of this year. I bring over 15 years of experience working with families in the education sector, along with a strong passion for care shaped by personal family experiences. I understand how important the right support is and look forward to using my experience to work closely with customers and their families, ensuring high-quality, individualised care. I am passionate about making people smile, and I believe my empathy and compassion help others feel valued and supported. The team here is incredibly friendly, and I am proud to be part of an organisation that makes a real difference.
I joined the Lewisham/Southwark office in 2022 as a Care Co-ordinator, then moved over to the Supervision team and became Deputy Manager in 2024. My role is to support Care Assistants and to enable them to provide quality care that helps customers stay as independent as possible. I love the role because the work is essential for the community, and I feel supported and encouraged to develop my skills.
I joined Lewisham/Southwark office as a Care Assistant in 2017, without formal Care experience, but bringing valuable personal experience caring for my older family members. In 2022, I joined the office team as Field Care Supervisor, a role I really love. I’m central to the support and guidance of the Care team and enjoy regular contact with customers and carers. Being part of the Bluebird Care family is deeply rewarding, and I look forward to each day, knowing I’m doing work I’ll never grow tired of.
I was drawn to the care sector through personal and family influences, including helping care for my partner’s grandmother and growing up in a healthcare-focused family, with my mother working as a chemotherapy nurse manager. I began my career in a GP practice, progressing from receptionist to administrative lead, where I developed a strong understanding of patient care. I am now a Customer Care Manager, supporting clients and staff while ensuring compassionate, high-quality care. I admire Bluebird Care’s reputation for person-centred care and would be proud to join a team that shares my values
My responsibility is to support carers during placements through regular supervision, ensuring the well-being of both customers and carers. Having been a carer myself, I understand the challenges they face and take pride in providing a strong support network for our lone workers. I enjoy the variety and pace of the role, meeting incredible people, and working for a company that truly cares for both its customers and carers.
I started out in the care industry in 2008 after my grandmother received care that made a real difference to her final years. Since then, I’ve gained extensive experience in various care roles – both in the field and in back offices. My role with Bluebird Care is to ensure that Care Assistants arrive where they are needed at times that they’re expected, using our state-of-the-art logistics system. I enjoy the contact with Care Assistants and customers that I have every day and love the fact that the work of our team is so valuable to our customers and their families
