Carer is active in cooking fresh food each day & after cooks a spare meal. Does monitor food in freezer but this could be done more often. Keeps a list of requirements for disinfectant etc.
General & lively interaction with carer & provides a reasonable level of information about her family. Punctual
& conscientious. Keeps up to date with ironing & washing.

It is said that it takes a village to raise a child. But it also takes a village to care for an elderly person, and for us Bluebird Care is that village. After seven or so years, we have no regrets and are extremely fortunate that they were recommended to us at the beginning of our search for help.
As mum says, "I'm so lucky that they come to me. Many other people don't get the good help and care that I do!"

My uncle lived alone and was supported by bluebird careers for several years. They were all excellent , turned up on time, and gave him the support he needed. The office staff equally efficient, backing up extra visits whenever needed and showing compassion and support to myself also. The manageress
also checking in with me with updates. I cannot praise the support given , and although not allowed to mention names, there were a few carers that became firm favourites with my uncle and he always looked forward to them turning up. My uncle is now in a home, and one of his carers continues with visits weekly to continue the support and companionship. For my part, It is so reassuring to be able to get her extra feedback on his condition.---- if u are reading this , you know who you are, and we thank you more than words can tell.

Kate Mortimer

Job Title: Registered Care Manager Joined: 2010

Kate joined Bluebird Care in 2010. Her customer service skills and “can-do” attitude were quickly noticed and it was not long before she was promoted to Care Supervisor.


After nearly 3 years Kate left to take a position as Senior Carer at a luxury care home in Bexley, South East London, where she managed a team of carers and gained further, valuable insight into the care of vulnerable adults with complex care needs - as well as the management of people!


We’re delighted to have Kate back in the Bluebird Care family, in a new venture where her experience and attitude will be of real benefit.


After many years working for Bluebird Care Kate has now taken on the exciting new role of Registered Manager.


With her knowledge, experience, and a great team behind her, she looks forward to the new challenges ahead.


Kate says 'I have always loved and enjoyed my work in health care so becoming a Registered Manager is the next natural step for me. It is so lovely to be able to do a job I love and make a difference in people's lives.'
