Greenwood Homecare (Peterborough and all surrounding villages)

My Mother needs 24-hour care at home. We have found Greenwood Homecare to be highly professional and very good. My Mother has been happy and very well cared for and on this basis, we could not ask for more. I was initially impressed by the experience and knowledge they showed which has proven to be invaluable.

Greenwood has been providing home care for my mother in law for the last 10 months. I am really pleased with the service they offer, they are all professional, caring and understanding of my mother in law's needs. They arrive on time, complete all tasks efficiently but in a friendly manner and often with humour. Notes are recorded online at the time, and I can access them immediately which reassures me that all is well. On a couple of occasions, an ambulance has been needed, and they have stayed with her until a family member or the ambulance has arrived. If I request any changes to her needs, they are happy to comply and have proved to be very flexible. All in all, I can't praise them enough, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I cannot thank Greenwood enough for the care that they are providing for my mother at the moment. They go out of their way to help and even when things are difficult they are always calm and cheerful. The office staff could not be more helpful and are always ready to have a chat with my mum and reassure her if she is concerned about anything or needs any extra help. I hope that one result of the Covid-19 epidemic is that our carers are valued as they should be.

We have been extremely pleased with the care and attention that the carers have given our aunt, this obviously stems from a good management team. Would even say, we considered their exemplary care during her final days were above and beyond normal duties. We can't thank them enough.

My brother and I were extremely happy with the care provided for our mother over the last two years by Greenwood Homecare. They provided a professional, personalised and very caring service at all times. Many of the carers developed a deep and personal relationship with our mother and she felt comforted and reassured by their visits. We found them very reliable, quick to communicate any cares/concerns about her health and condition and quick to respond to her changing needs as her health deteriorated, putting in place extra visits at very short notice. This enabled her to stay at home as long as possible when unfortunately her medical condition deteriorated and homecare was no longer an option. We had complete trust in the service and all carers. We would fully recommend them to anyone else needing similar care. With heartfelt thanks to all the carers and the service as a whole.

I occasionally need care when my husband goes away and Greenwood Care has always been able to provide this. My carer last week was wonderful. She was very kind, knowledgeable, friendly and competent. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

The care support my father has and is receiving twice daily has ranged from good to excellent. The best being when there has been continuity in the same carer visiting him.

We have only used this company for the last 3 months (the total time care has been needed). What we have seen so far is excellent care. The carer is always on time and very efficient.

At first, I called this company and got information but our dad said he didn’t want any help so had to cancel the meeting but the manager was so helpful and nothing was a problem but in the end, our dad came round to having help and what can I say? They were fantastic, they are always on the end of the phone when I need help or to change days or times they happily change, and with myself not knowing which way to go they have also supported me which I can’t thank enough. They are reliable and I would highly recommend to others that need care for their loved ones as our dad enjoys the carers going round and always says how lovely they are and that makes us feel so much better knowing our dad is looked after so well. So I thank all that are involved for the amazing job you do.

Very pleasant and helpful from point of contact. Initial visit to Mum's home was extremely helpful in reassuring Mum. Staff very caring providing companionship and checking that Mum had taken her medication and had a meal. Mum had the wish to stay in her own home and Greenwood's visits were an excellent answer to her wishes. Many thanks to everyone involved.

My mother has Alzheimer's but is totally unaware of her condition or the level of care she needs. Greenwood understood this from the start which was very pleasing. All of the carers worked with this and supported mum without making her feel she was being taken over. Access to the login system was brilliant! I don't live nearby to mum and this helped me to see how the visits had gone and this was very reassuring. Greenwood provides a highly professional and caring service. Can't recommend highly enough.

All staff know you and are very caring. If a carer is going to be late the office always phones to tell you how long they will be before the carer will be with you. Have already recommended the service to other people and they are more than satisfied.

From the first contact, my daughter made to Greenwood Homecare, they came to my home and immediately arranged care/support after hip/joint surgery. The carers have always been on time and very pleasant.
