Greenwood Homecare is an independent provider of home care serving Peterborough and the surrounding areas. They provide a range of personalised home care services, from daily visitation personal care, to full-time live in care. They cater for all types of care ranging from personal care, to elderly care, and complex care.

Care workers are trained in-house to a high standard and are selected for their compassion, professionalism and duty of care. When designing care plans, staff are specially matched to individuals, based on their skills and shared interests and according to any wishes of the individual.

They aim to deliver the best possible care, and their ethos is to always be there for the client and family. They are on call for clients and their families 365 days a year. My husband has been a client of Greenwood Homecare since January 2022 and has later stage Dementia and I am his full-time carer.
The team always make me aware if they are concerned about him so that I can deal with it or contact the professionals if need be.
He has an excellent relationship with
his team and I and my son are extremely happy and grateful for their caring, friendly and professional attitudes and just treating him as if he didn't have this illness and making him feel special.
Greenwood Homecare went above and beyond recently when I had a crisis and the team supported my husband while I was not able to. They are all an absolute credit to Greenwood Homecare and I would not hesitate in recommending the company to anyone who needed care and support.

I feel very confident that I am in the hands of very experienced and caring carers.
They always come in with a welcome greeting of ‘hello, and how are you?’
I’m always asked how my day has been and now the carers know my family they ask after my grown-up children.
Whether they are into pets or not
they are always talking to my two cats Freddie and Tobias which is another kind gesture.
The carers always check when changing my pad that I don’t have any sores that might get worse, if there is a need they add cream to the area.
All my carers are a very welcome sight in the evening. Friendly and caring, I can’t ask for more.
A lovely surprise from one carer on Mother’s Day who brought in a bunch of tulips and small gifts. So very kind.

Greenwood Homecare has been providing full-time live-in care to my mother who is physically disabled (permanent wheelchair user) and has early dementia since November 2021. I have been very pleased with the level of care provided by the carers who work on an alternating fortnightly basis. They have
been genuinely caring and looked after Mum's needs well. Mum has adapted to having new people living in the house surprisingly well and this is a reflection of the friendliness and experience of Greenwood's carers. The carers have been well supported by the management who have generally been great to deal with. We are 'repeat customers' of Greenwoods who had previously provided great care support for my grandmother and having looked at a few options we have been very happy to return to Greenwoods for Mum's care.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the team involved - especially the carers who looked after Mum. She built up good relationships with them and we, her family, are grateful for all their care and attention, friendly and positive attitudes.
I was impressed with the efficient administration
carried out, not only for the finances but also for being given a weekly rota of visiting carers. I’d like to thank your assessor for the organisation and administration of her care needs in creating a concise and informative care plan for Mum and prompt reviewing of her needs, as and when necessary. I found using the app easy to access and being kept up to date with any issues arising, which I could then resolve quickly.
Finally, I would like to add that I would not hesitate in using Greenwood’s again and would be pleased to recommend them to anyone looking for care and support for a loved one.

The care I receive is very lovely. Carers are very friendly, caring and generous. I enjoy their company. They are lovely to my family. I feel safe and secure with them. Certain carers who treat me very well and cater to all my needs with respect and dignity. I feel very comfortable around them. Beautiful

I was very happy with the live-in care that my relative received over a six month period. When the time came for her to move into residential care, the handover process from Greenwood Homecare (Peterborough) was very thorough and professional, which was very helpful during the transition. My wife has been with Greenwood Homecare for nearly three years. We have always been happy with the carers visits and the level of care towards her. Some carers go above and beyond their duties, they know who they are random carers do the job and will get better the more they visit. Management very
good but could improve on the above night visits on what time they are coming, I need to know a certain time and be kept to it.

Greenwood have been with us every step of the way, since my mum's last release from hospital. This was 15 months ago and without them, I genuinely don't think she would be with us today. Mum has extremely complex needs and has always been a proud lady who knows what she wants. This brings its own challenges.
Her wish is always to remain at home. Over our time with Greenwood, they have been extremely flexible, responsive to her and the families needs and increased the care or changed the team when required. They are prepared to listen, provide a really personalised approach and have often gone well above what would be expected, including sitting with the family when mum very poorly. We had the experience of other care providers and did our research prior to using Greenwood. In my opinion, they are in a different league. Greenwood, who provides 24/7 care to mum are ensuring she is getting the best, to make her life as comfortable and happy as possible. Thank you Greenwood.

Greenwood Homecare services were recommended to me by the City Council when my mother was diagnosed with Dementia. I cannot fault their staff and services at all, without them my mother would have been left to her own care and company until I had finished work every day. Flexible, honest and trustworthy.

I would highly recommend Greenwood Homecare. The carers are very reliable, caring and considerate, and treated my daughter with dignity and respect. I don't know how we would have managed without them over the Christmas period.

In 2017, we first used Greenwood Homecare for 3 months when my 92 year old mother broke her wrist in a fall and needed care at home. At that time, we interviewed 4 other Peterborough based homecare companies and the ethos, culture and professionalism of Greenwood's shone out. In 2020, my mother (now
95) suffered 2 falls and following 6 weeks of hospitalisation and convalescence in a care home, we didn't hesitate to call upon Greenwood's to again provide home care, which is now an ongoing arrangement. They commit to allocating a core team of carers who establish a close friendship with those they are caring for and especially during the isolations of Covid this bond has proven critical to my mother's well-being and to our family's assurance she is safe and well. Greenwood is very flexible with its service delivery and regularly review my mother's needs. It is a massive relief and assurance knowing my mother is in the safe hands of Greenwood. Thank you so much.

Greenwood had been recommended to me so when I was looking for care for my mother they were the first people to contact. They did not disappoint. Lovely, caring people from the Manager's initial visit to all carers. My mother is very happy with the service they provide and so are we. 5 Stars!

Greenwood has been providing home care for my mother in law for the last 10 months. I am really pleased with the service they offer, they are all professional, caring and understanding of my mother in law's needs. They arrive on time, complete all tasks efficiently but in a friendly manner and often
with humour. Notes are recorded online at the time, and I can access them immediately which reassures me that all is well. On a couple of occasions, an ambulance has been needed, and they have stayed with her until a family member or the ambulance has arrived. If I request any changes to her needs, they are happy to comply and have proved to be very flexible. All in all, I can't praise them enough, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I cannot thank Greenwood enough for the care that they are providing for my mother at the moment. They go out of their way to help and even when things are difficult they are always calm and cheerful. The office staff could not be more helpful and are always ready to have a chat with my mum and reassure
her if she is concerned about anything or needs any extra help. I hope that one result of the Covid-19 epidemic is that our carers are valued as they should be.

Jodie

Jodie Chatters

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2018

As Registered Manager for Greenwood Homecare Peterborough, Jodie oversees the day-to-day running of the branch, leads and supports staff in the team and manages business development.


Jodie also supports payroll and conducts audits to make sure the branch is compliant with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). When not in the office, she can be found out and about performing care assessments in Peterborough, writing care packages based on home assessments and prepping the team to support new clients.


Jodie has a keen interest in training and is a Level 3 qualified trainer and assessor. She runs weekly workshops for carers on various aspects of their role, from communication to end-of-life care. She also invites experts in to speak to staff and answer their questions.


Jodie’s career in care began with supporting people with learning disabilities and has seen her take on roles in residential homes and private care. When her personal life took her to Peterborough, Jodie joined Greenwood as a care supervisor and worked her way up to Registered Manager.


When not at work, Jodie is busy taking care of her kids and her little dog Shirley. In her downtime, she enjoys pottering in her garden or garage and can be found upcycling wooden furniture.
