A big thank you to Surrey Hills and Brambles for all the help and support offered to my aunt and uncle who despite his best efforts was struggling to cope with caring for his wife who has dementia. We were really struggling with the two health care providers put forward by Croydon Council but when Surrey Hills took over, the level of care offered was far superior in every way, including my aunt's weekly visits to their Brambles Dementia Club which she loved! The manager even helped liaise with Social Services to help with their move into sheltered housing, so thanks again for everything.

I would like to recommend Surrey Hills Home Help Services Ltd regarding the excellent care they have given my mum. The manager was extremely helpful in all aspects, and I would particularly like to give a special mention to my mum's carer, who has been wonderful with my mum on every visit.

Surrey Hills have been fantastic helping us look after my mother. They provided day carers for us. We had a small team and my mother felt so comfortable with all of them. They arrived on time and were all so patient and kind and nothing was too much trouble. They even managed to get us equipment on a Sunday. From our first contact, they have been professional and reliable.

I was always contacted if there was any area of concern, and there was a completely open relationship with the management. Sadly, Mum and Dad have moved to a care home now, as their needs became too much for them to remain in their own home but I would not hesitate to recommend Surrey Hills to others,

When my terminally ill sister started to deteriorate, it was mentally and physically exhausting. Then we were blessed with the arrival of Surrey Hills home care.

It was such a relief. They were professional, knowledgeable, organised, supportive to the family as well as her. It meant I could spend quality time with her as they took over her medication, feeding and bathing her and doing things like her washing. They always made sure she was comfortable and treated her with dignity.

They came out at all times of the day and night always with a positive, cheerful attitude and offering reassurance. They quickly appraised my sister and knew her personality. If she wanted to talk about her illness or had any worries, they always seemed to know the right thing to say, it was so enlightening.

When my sister passed, they were there straight away making sure she was bathed and fresh, even putting on her favourite perfume.

To the end, she retained her dignity with their support.

I cannot sing the praises of the Surrey Hills Home Help Services enough; they care for my elderly mother in her own home and nothing is too much trouble for them.

The team regularly ‘go the extra mile’ and are more like friends than nursing staff – attending to my mother's medical needs, helping her to wash and also preparing delicious meals, whilst ensuring that she can retain an element of independence. It is also of note that not only do they consider the needs of their patient they also give great thought to the relative’s well-being; their mantra is that their responsibility extends to the family of the client – a great relief to me.

Thanks to the manager and Surrey Hills Home Help Services my mother can continue to enjoy her flat rather than move to a residential care home and I have the peace of mind that Mum is safe and sound.
