Right at Home offered a truly professional approach from the start. Managers listened carefully to the needs within the home and supported new carers in building relationships with my parents and training. Initially supporting my Dad with dementia, and then my Mum with failing sight and mobility issues, we have had an ongoing relationship with Right at Home over many years. My Mum built very positive relationships with caregivers and their gentle approach supported her to live as independently as possible within her home, whilst also supporting her to complete tasks which she struggled. Wherever possible, there was a continuity of care offered from two regular carers each week. Regular communication ensured Mum knew who would be attending and monitoring enabled changes to be made to care offered as needs increased. We would highly recommend the Right at Home team as providers of high quality care in the home offering compassion and kindness. Thank-you to all for many years of care
Wow! Thank you so much for such a comprehensive and glowing review of our services. It is so heartwarming to know that the relationships we built were highly valued and that we were able to make a positive difference for your parents and the wider family. We are so grateful and privileged that you chose Right at Home to support you.
Every request by us has been fulfilled from face to face care to changes needed in hours required at different stages.
We cannot fault the care we have received from office managers/ staff to carers in their home.
My parents have grown very fond of their carers and my father (who has Alzheimer's) recognises them and is so happy with his care.
Their commitment and dedication to delivering care is exceptional.
We cannot thank ALL enough for everything!
It is so kind of you to give us such a positive review paying tribute to all of our teams. It is always our goal to ensure we build fantastic relationships with our clients and their families, and that we are as responsive as we can be to their needs. It is heartening to know that you feel we are succeeding in this and are valuing the service we are providing. Many thanks!
All three of the staff mum has met have gone above and beyond expectations. And from my perspective, 10,000 miles away, I find them to be super responsive and excellent at keeping me suitably informed. I almost feel like they are now an extension of the family.
I cannot rate them high enough!
We're glad to hear that mum is enjoying the visits of our team, and that in turn we have given the family a little peace of mind. Mum is an absolute joy and quite a character and so it is a real pleasure to visit her. Thank you for taking the time to give such a kind review from the other side of the world!
Always friendly and completely focussed on her needs, they come rain or shine and as her needs changed, they accommodated those changes with efficiency and kindness.
My mother-in-law formed some real friendships with a few of the people who came, and her horizons grew later in life in ways we hadn't expected. As she took in so many different stories in the lives of her carers, as they chatted to each other and swapped life stories, she gained a much broader perspective on society and the varied things people cope with in their daily lives. This had an amazing enrichening effect on her and she became more tolerant and understanding of much which had been closed to her life-view in the past.
Sadly as her care requirements changed, there was less time to chat, but that broadened view of life has stayed with her and is one of the unexpected benefits of having carers come to your home.
Thoroughly recommended.
Thank you for your fabulous and enlightening review. This certainly does add a different perspective to the care we provide and it is great to see that it has had such a positive impact on your mother-in-law. She was certainly very much thought of by everyone who visited her and so it was a pleasure and a privilege to have supported her over these past 7 years.
The care has always been very good, punctual and friendly. But very expensive.
It was always a pleasure and a privilege to support you these past four years. We hope you will be very happy in your new surroundings.
We have been using Right at Home for more than 12 months now. The carers are well trained and clearly carefully selected, as all have the best interpersonal skills. Above all they really seem to care about their clients. It is not just a job. They care about caring and are so warm and friendly with clients.
I could not speak highly enough of their services.
Thank you for your very kind review, and for highlighting the quality of our care team. It is true that we always take on the best possible staff who share our values of a care provider, and genuinely want to do the best by their clients, so it is really gratifying to hear that this translates into the excellent service you are experiencing.
I would highly recommend Right at Home
Thank you for your very kind words. It is great to hear that your experience of using RaH has been positive, that you had a good relation with our carer and that you found our team to be responsive to your family's needs.
The care for my father from Right At Home over the last two years has been absolutely outstanding. It has helped him to remain in his own home, which is his dearest wish for much longer than I could've forecast, despite his worsening dementia. I can't recommend Right At Home highly enough. Thank you.
It has been an absolute pleasure to support your father, and indeed your mother before that. We truly value the relationship we have built with all of your lovely family. Thank you for the kind words.
Exceptional carers, office staff and owner.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your very kind words!
Excellent care provider, deeply appreciated by us, and would thoroughly recommend. From the start, Right At Home were warm, compassionate and professional. They were diligent in understanding our dad and his care needs, his interests and quirks, his life. They adapted as the care needs changed, particularly in the last months before dad moved to a nursing home. Their response to requests or changing requirements was rapid, including the odd emergency out-of-hours... there was always someone there. The app allowed us to check on rosters and reports on each visit, so we could see how dad was every day. In our case, two of us are 12000 miles away in Australia, but we felt completely in touch. Overall, Right At Home took the pressure off, and we felt completely reassured that dad was in safe and kind hands. They were recommended by someone in dad's village, and we do the same to you.
I can't tell you what a joy it was to support your lovely father - what an amazing and surprising man! I'll never forget the first time I visited his front room only to see his extraordinary history unfolding in front of me! We really appreciate your very generous feedback and your kind recommendation.
We were sorry to have to move on and leave everyone's smiling faces!
It was an absolute delight looking after mum - it's no wonder the CareGivers were always smiling! We are very grateful for the opportunity to have supported her and hope she is happy and settled in her new home.
They have been nothing but flexible and supportive. The care has been attentive and the person in question was initially reluctant to have but now loves it being in place! It gives us peace of mind as well as the person receiving the care.
Thank you for the kind review. We understand that that sometimes it is a big step for someone to accept help at home, as rightly people generally like to be as independent as possible for as long as possible. We will always look to encourage independence, just 'filling in gaps' where required and...
Right At provided excellent companionship and care support to my Mum and Aunt over a 9-month period. The office staff and carers were always very friendly and supportive and we would be contacted promptly if there were any concerns. As my Mum and Aunt's needs changed, Right At Home was able to adapt their support to respond. All the carers who spent time with my Mum and Aunt were so friendly and warm and it was hugely reassuring to us as a family to know they were visiting. I would really recommend Right At Home.
What an absolute pleasure it was to support your mum and aunt - what a couple of characters! The CareGivers loved the opportunity to take them out and about. We are so pleased to hear that we were able to give you the reassurance and support you needed, and are very grateful for this kind review and recommendation.
Right at Home Mid Sussex has looked after my mum for the last few years, and we cannot praise them highly enough. From the management and office staff to the carers, they are all so helpful and approachable. The carers really do care about their clients and the 45-minute visits mean that they have time to really get to know them. We've now reached a stage where my mum needs to go to a care home due to increasing confusion and frailty, but the Right at Home team have supported her to stay at home as long as possible. I would absolutely recommend their services.
It has been a joy to have supported Mum over these past few years. What an incredible lady! We are so pleased we were able to make a difference and support the family in keeping her safely at home all these years, and we thank you for giving us the opportunity to build this relationship with you, your mum and the family.
My family used Right at Home (Mid Sussex) to care for both my father and mother towards the end of their lives. The experience we had was faultless from start to finish. The office is very well organised in managing the care and rotas and the care provided was exceptional. My mother and father were very well looked after and it allowed them to stay in their home for as long as possible. The team has been amazing, thanks so much.
Thank you so much for leaving such a wonderful review about our services. We always try and go above and beyond to support our clients and their families, and we are fortunate to have an incredible office support team and amazing CareGivers who enable us to do so. It was a joy and a privilege to...
We could not recommend Right at Home highly enough. All of the team who supported my in-laws over the last few years were & are incredible people who showed such incredible patience & care. My in-law's worst fear was to die in hospital & the Right at Home's level of exceptional service ensured they had the choice to remain at home right till the end despite medical & personal care challenges. Whilst care packages were being arranged we experienced support from other care providers in the area so had first-hand experience of what good looks like & it is most definitely the Right at Home team. Thank you to the manager & her amazing team.
Wow - what a wonderful review! As you know, we had supported your in-laws for a few years and it has been an absolute privilege to get to know them during this time and be part of their lives. It was a particular privilege that we were able to support them both right to the end, which as you say was what they both wanted.
I would highly recommend the Right At Home team. Mum is 80 and suffers from dementia. She's lived in this area for the last 55+ years, so the fact that all the care staff are recruited locally is valuable because it means they can chat to Mum about the things she is familiar with. The care staff, capably managed by the managers, are friendly, reliable, and patient. They are also punctual and stick to their pre-arranged time slots, which is not the case with all care agencies. The service is managed through an app which we have access to via a portal. It is incredibly useful for my brother and me to be able to read the carer notes for each visit and check on the roster and tasks being undertaken. Because the service is good, it is also in high demand, which leads to the one minor issue - if you need care staff at peak times of day (mealtimes etc...) you may have to join a waiting list. Again though, I think this is true of all care agencies at the moment. Thank you Right At Home.
It is a delight to visit your mum, who is an absolute character. As you know, it has been important to balance attending to her needs with supporting her desire to remain as independent as possible, however hopefully we've got the balance about right for her to remain safe in her own home. Thank you for taking time to offer such a comprehensive review - we really appreciate the feedback.
The care and attention given to my aunt was so reassuring to us as a family. The quality and standard of the caregivers employed by Right At Home provide confidence to clients.
Thank you for reviewing our services. It was a joy to support your aunt this past year or so and we hope she will be very happy in her new home.
Right at Home support my Mum who has dementia and my Dad. Right At Home provide support with meals, meds and household but most importantly are kind and caring to my parents, so important as they are now the only social contacts my parents have on a day to day basis. The manager at Right At Home is always friendly, patient, kind and understanding which helps me to manage my parents' care from a distance. Mum and Dad both love seeing the carers and look forward to them arriving. Without Right At Home my parents would not be able to still live in their own home.
We really value the relationship we have built with your lovely family these past few years and the time we are able to spend with your parents. It is heartening to see them still living very happily in the home which they clearly love. Thank you for your very kind feedback - we will ensure in particular your comments about our Registered Manager are passed on!
Right at Home (Mid Sussex) have provided an excellent service supporting my mum and aunt who both have dementia. They constantly want to go out and the team have supported them with taking them to coffees, shops and places of interest. I highly recommend the support they give to clients and their families.
Our CareGiver team really value the relationship they have with your family and thoroughly enjoy the time they are able to spend with them. They are an amazing duo!

Andy joins the Right at Home network after a long career in the leisure industry. Initially working as a qualified golf professional, his career branched into management, latterly managing large proprietary golf and fitness resorts.
In early 2016, however, Andy decided it was time to channel his abilities into a business of his own, and of which he could be proud of. Andy’s parents were owners of two premier residential care homes in Burgess Hill, and so, having grown up in and around the environment, it was a natural choice to follow a similar path.
Andy explains, “I have long looked to use my skills and knowledge in developing my own business, and with years in customer service, management and public relations roles, the care industry seemed the perfect fit for me to contribute positively back to the local community, which has served me so well for the past forty years.”
“Having seen first-hand the richness that quality care can bring to the lives of the elderly, I feel passionately that I too can follow in my parents’ footsteps, and make a difference to those deserving of our support and understanding.”
“I am determined that Right at Home will offer the best home care service in the Mid Sussex area. We are building a team consisting of the best CareGivers, providing them with the right support, training and career development, within a fantastic working environment. This in turn ensures that our clients come to receive the highest standard of ‘person centred’ care – how they want it and when they need it.”
Andy still lives in Burgess Hill, along with his wife, two children and their dog. He still loves the occasional game of golf, plays football, is a keen supporter of Burgess Hill Cricket Club, and when time allows, likes to do crosswords, tend to his beloved garden and try to master the ukulele!
Lou has always wanted to work in care and, since leaving school, has gained hands-on experience within a number of NHS settings, care homes, hospices and individual private home care.
She has been working for Right at Home since 2018. Starting as a CareGiver, she always looked forward to the challenge of getting to know new clients, their families and what works best to ensure they are well cared for and feel safe within their home environment. Although her role has changed over the years, her passion for the role hasn't.
She was very pleased to be nominated for the RAH CareGiver of the Year 2021 and very proud to have won against stiff competition from all over the country.
In early 2022 Lou completed a level 4 Diploma in Adult Care and then became the Registered Manager of Right at Home Mid Sussex, a role that she is incredibly excited about.
Throughout the earlier part of my working life, I held a variety of roles in financial reconciliation and administration, acquiring a number of business and book-keeping qualifications along the way. Fifteen years ago, I left day-to-day employment so that I could focus on bringing up our two young children.
I later became a Teaching Assistant at the children’s primary school, enjoying a role where I really felt as if I was able to make a difference, and which I continued until this year when we decided to set up the business.
I am really looking forward to supporting Andy in developing the Right At Home Mid Sussex business, and learning more about the care industry, which is something I’ve never had involvement in before. I will soon be undergoing the same stringent training programme as our other CareGivers, so that I too will be able to deliver care in the homes of those that need us.
