My mother-in-law has been enjoying Right at Home's services for nearly a year now. She was reluctant at first to accept that at 95 she needed assistance with house chores and shopping, mainly because she was concerned that things wouldn't be done to her high standards and that she would feel undermined and patronised. However, the Right at Home carers are all very supportive, friendly and excellent cleaners/shoppers. She now agrees that she really benefits from the help and companionship they provide.
Our CareGivers absolutely cherish their time with your mother-in-law, who is an incredible lady, with unbelievable energy! I'm always delighted when I'm needed at her house myself, such is her vibrant, positive and down-to-earth personality. We appreciate your kind words Sally.
Very pleased with the service.
Thank you. We are delighted that you feel the service is of benefit to you.
We have been very happy with the service from the caregivers and the support from the management. An extremely professional company.
Thank you for your kind words Heather. It has been great to see that since we started working with you both, you have been able to lead more independent lives together, and have needed our support increasingly less. This is a positive development!
I have the same carer every morning which keeps everything consistent, means we have a good relationship and I don't feel like a stranger is coming in every morning.
Very happy with my care.
Thank you Carla. We are aware that you have experienced difficulties with previous care provision, so it is great to hear that you feel we are providing you with the support you need - and it is our pleasure to do so.
He enjoys their friendly chats and company.
Thank you David. Your review is much appreciated. It is so rewarding to have been able to help your dad to remain at home, and our CareGivers thoroughly enjoy their time with him, as he is such a big personality.
The carers are all first class and couldn't have been more helpful. We have been extremely happy with every single one of them. Management is excellent too and the weekly carer schedules are first class.
Thank you Geoff. I will ensure that your kind words about our fantastic Caregivers are fed back, as it is always appreciated to receive positive praise. We are glad that the service is working for you both.
Our heartfelt thanks to Right at Home Mid Sussex for providing the kindest of live-in carers for our Mother, who had undergone major surgery for oral cancer. Right at Home took great care in getting to know our Mother and recommending a fantastic carer to spend three months with our Mother during her subsequent rigorous treatment. The carer was undeniably instrumental in the swift recovery our Mother made from the operation and the Chemo and radiotherapy treatment that came afterwards, and we can't recommend the service Right at Home (Mid Sussex) give highly enough. Thank you again for everything!
It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to look after your amazing mother. We are so glad that we were able to source and support a carer who was so clearly able to build such a great relationship with your mother, and it has been particularly gratifying to see her come through this difficult time so strongly. We wish you and the family all the very best for the future.
It is an extremely worrying time when a relative comes out of hospital needing nursing care at home. This home care nursing agency responded to our initial telephone enquiry with speed and efficiency and promptly set us up with a home care plan to suit our needs. This was explained to us in detail and very welcome help given to me on the financial aspect of the care. We were particularly impressed with the kind understanding given to us when we had to halt the care for a few days due to my husband being re-admitted to hospital. My son and I are very satisfied with the nursing care given to my husband and it is very reassuring to know that this will carry on for the foreseeable future and that we can increase the care if necessary. The nurses are all efficient, kind and understanding of my husband's disabilities and he is very comfortable with all of them.
Thank you, Ann. It has been a pleasure looking after your husband, indeed our CareGivers look forward to the chats! It is great that we have a team who are so suited to caring for him and enjoy visiting you and your family.
As a recent user of Right At Home Mid Sussex services for my Aunt, I am very pleased with the service that has been provided. The actual carers have been gracious, caring and respectful of my Aunt, who has not always been the easiest of clients. As I am new to this situation and live many miles from my Aunt, I have found the service to be extremely reliable and it has often exceeded my expectations. I have built up a good rapport with the Care Manager and the M.D, whom I have found responsive, informative and pro-active. They are helpful in every aspect.
Thank you for your generous comments about our CareGiving staff and our Management team. We strive to exceed the expectations of our clients and their families, so it is hugely gratifying to hear that we have managed to do this on this occasion.
with their lovely happy smiling faces, who are delighted to work for an organisation that cares about clients as individuals and I only hoped and imagined that there could be in reality such an Agency as yours and only hope that one day many more people will have access to an Agency of your calibre!
It is an absolute joy to support you and help you stay in your lovely home! Long may it continue!!
Right at Home (Mid Sussex) have so far provided excellent care for my friend. They seem to have an approach to their staff that results in them feeling appreciated and this has a positive benefit for clients, as staff are likely to stay if they are happy with the conditions. This gives continuity of carers for the clients and means that rather than a stream of ever changing faces, a 'core' group of carers can provide the majority of calls and become familiar with the client. The carers can also gain a greater understanding of the care needed and get to know the client.
We really appreciate your kind, enthusiastic and considered review. It fully endorses the key values which underpin the way we believe the business should be run, so it is extremely reassuring to hear that we are on the right track! Thank you.
I have been impressed by both the management and staff of Right at Home (Mid Sussex). The need was to provide a package of visits for my brother who suffers with dementia. They have carried out the work efficiently and with great care. My brother enjoys the visits. I have nothing but praise for 'Right at Home'
Thank you, Elaine. We are thoroughly enjoying spending quality time with your brother and will be looking for continuously more effective ways in which we can add value to his visits, to improve his daily life and to relieve the burden off the family. We appreciate your very kind feedback.
I am extremely pleased with Right at Home, Mid Sussex. The Care Givers and management staff provide excellent service for both of my parents, who have very different needs. The Care Givers and management are exceptionally caring, patient, understanding, friendly and helpful. Some go out of their way to give my parents the care they need. Also, the companionship they provide has made a lot of difference to my parents. Now I feel free of worry knowing how professional and caring the Care Givers and management are. Well done Right at Home, Mid Sussex!
Thank you for your kind words, Soma. Our staff thoroughly enjoy their visits to your parents and we are so pleased that we are able to make a difference for them, whilst giving you the peace of mind that everything is in hand.
Right at Home cared for my mother for the last couple of months. In this short time, we always found staff to be professional, friendly and totally reliable. They really had time for mum and would offer help and support whilst allowing her to be as independent as she could be. I would not hesitate to recommend the manager and his team in Mid Sussex.
It has been a pleasure and a privilege to look after your mother. I will ensure that your very kind words will be passed back to our team, and wish you and the family the very best of health and happiness in the future. Thank you for your support of the company.
I find Right at Home (Mid Sussex) to be most professional for the care of my wife. The carers who attended her needs are most understanding, as she can be most difficult at times. They are very helpful at these times. Further conceded for me is the carer.
Thank you for the review David. The staff thoroughly enjoy their visits to you and your wife, we are increasingly looking for ways in which we can add more value to our calls. I will be in touch to see how we might be able to improve our services further.
The carers have been really great with him especially as he was reluctant to accept help at the start. They have always treated him with respect and encouraged him to let them help without taking away his independence.
They never just whizz in and whizz out, they spend time with him and chat and I think he is enjoying the company even though he might not admit it!
It has given me the peace of mind to know that someone twice a week is calling in to help him and to keep him company.
Thank you for your very kind words Mandy. It is our pleasure to look after your father, and we are delighted to know that he is enjoying the company of our CareGivers.

Andy joins the Right at Home network after a long career in the leisure industry. Initially working as a qualified golf professional, his career branched into management, latterly managing large proprietary golf and fitness resorts.
In early 2016, however, Andy decided it was time to channel his abilities into a business of his own, and of which he could be proud of. Andy’s parents were owners of two premier residential care homes in Burgess Hill, and so, having grown up in and around the environment, it was a natural choice to follow a similar path.
Andy explains, “I have long looked to use my skills and knowledge in developing my own business, and with years in customer service, management and public relations roles, the care industry seemed the perfect fit for me to contribute positively back to the local community, which has served me so well for the past forty years.”
“Having seen first-hand the richness that quality care can bring to the lives of the elderly, I feel passionately that I too can follow in my parents’ footsteps, and make a difference to those deserving of our support and understanding.”
“I am determined that Right at Home will offer the best home care service in the Mid Sussex area. We are building a team consisting of the best CareGivers, providing them with the right support, training and career development, within a fantastic working environment. This in turn ensures that our clients come to receive the highest standard of ‘person centred’ care – how they want it and when they need it.”
Andy still lives in Burgess Hill, along with his wife, two children and their dog. He still loves the occasional game of golf, plays football, is a keen supporter of Burgess Hill Cricket Club, and when time allows, likes to do crosswords, tend to his beloved garden and try to master the ukulele!
Lou has always wanted to work in care and, since leaving school, has gained hands-on experience within a number of NHS settings, care homes, hospices and individual private home care.
She has been working for Right at Home since 2018. Starting as a CareGiver, she always looked forward to the challenge of getting to know new clients, their families and what works best to ensure they are well cared for and feel safe within their home environment. Although her role has changed over the years, her passion for the role hasn't.
She was very pleased to be nominated for the RAH CareGiver of the Year 2021 and very proud to have won against stiff competition from all over the country.
In early 2022 Lou completed a level 4 Diploma in Adult Care and then became the Registered Manager of Right at Home Mid Sussex, a role that she is incredibly excited about.
Throughout the earlier part of my working life, I held a variety of roles in financial reconciliation and administration, acquiring a number of business and book-keeping qualifications along the way. Fifteen years ago, I left day-to-day employment so that I could focus on bringing up our two young children.
I later became a Teaching Assistant at the children’s primary school, enjoying a role where I really felt as if I was able to make a difference, and which I continued until this year when we decided to set up the business.
I am really looking forward to supporting Andy in developing the Right At Home Mid Sussex business, and learning more about the care industry, which is something I’ve never had involvement in before. I will soon be undergoing the same stringent training programme as our other CareGivers, so that I too will be able to deliver care in the homes of those that need us.
