We could not fault the staff at Right at Home. Those who visited and cared for Mum took the time to get to know her and took an interest in her life. They ensured she was well looked after during their visits. The office staff were always very approachable efficient and professional.
Thank you for your review, Tanya. It was a delight supporting mum-in-law and we trust that she has settled in well to her new environment. We miss those daily 10 am phone calls!
Kind, professional and sympathetic carers and efficient admin team. The summer and Christmas social events were a lovely addition to the services offered.
Thank you for your comments, Rachel. I hope your father has settled in well in his new environment. I'm glad that you both appreciated our winter and summer social events. It is always a pleasure to provide them and see so many smiling faces.
Overall an exceptional service. Any issues were dealt with promptly and we can't thank them enough for their support during a difficult time.
Thank you for such a lovely review. What a pleasure and an honour it was to be involved in your mother's care through to the end. She was an incredible lady who was a ray of sunshine for all around.
Throughout our relationship with Right at Home, we received good, appropriate care, usually with a smile. My parents were well looked after with kindness and understanding. Back office support was professional, we were given schedules weekly which were sometimes changed late without any fuss. Very impressed with this organisation. After an illness, my mother needed 24-hour live-in care, so our relationship with Right at Home ended.
Thank you for the kind review. I hope that your parents have settled down well to having a live-in carer, and if your father ever wants to join me in a game of golf, the offer still stands.
Nothing but praise for the quality of daily care received. Caregivers are well supervised with visits by senior staff. Caregivers often went above and beyond, for example by cleaning and washing up.
Thank you for your kind comments about our CareGivers and support team. It was always a joy to visit your father and we wish him the utmost happiness in his new environment.
My husband had severe dementia and was totally immobile having to be hoisted from bed to chair. He had 2 carers 3 times a day, most of which were very good with him. When I first tried them I stressed, because of his condition, it was important that he had the same carers as far as possible and I did have to complain when they kept trying to introduce new carers. Fortunately, the last few months of my husband's life they did abide by my wishes and the carers could not have looked after him better if he had been one of their loved ones and many attended his funeral.
Thank you for your honest review. We valued the very close relationship we had with you and your husband throughout the 2 years we supported you, during some often challenging times. As you were aware we always looked to have as much continuity as possible but naturally had to introduce new carers...
All of the carers who looked after father were wonderful, cheerful and extremely compassionate.
I would recommend Right at Home Mid Sussex.
Thank you for your lovely comprehensive review. Your father was always an absolute joy to visit. He was a true gentleman and very warm and hospitable to the staff. He is greatly missed.
I cannot speak highly enough of the care provided and given to my late wife. The visiting carers were always professional but at the same time sympathetic and helpful (to me as well as my wife). My wife was 84 and I am 85 and the overall support given to us was really great.
It was always our privilege to support you and your wife. We thank you for your kind words and look forward to seeing you again soon.
We have been using the services of Right at Home Mid Sussex for a year for additional support for my 89-year-old mother. I cannot emphasise how pleased we are with the fabulous care and attention from the great team, from the professional and caring visiting ladies to the management team in the office. Everyone has been honest and helpful and has listened to our requirements and requests and acted swiftly and with no fuss or bother. The communication is excellent with any concerns or issues being highlighted immediately. My mum, who was reluctant to accept help initially, is now in the swing of things. The support and backup (and peace of mind) in addition to our family input is invaluable to us all. Highly recommended from all of us and a huge thank you to all the Right at Home team.
Thank you for your most complimentary feedback. It is great to hear that our service is valued by not only the clients, but the wider family also.
They are always on time, and I really like the relaxed way they don’t have a uniform.
The values you have described are exactly what we strive to achieve within Right At Home. It is great that you feel that we are working very much in line with our goals and that your needs are being met.
My mother absolutely loves her carers - tells everyone that they are her favourite.
They are dependable, kind and respectful to my mother. She has Alzheimer's which needs a certain type of personality in a carer - patience being one of them. If they have any questions they err on the side of caution and phone their office or person on-call who if necessary, which rarely happens, contacts me.
Most recently, one of the carers accompanied my mother to the Hospital. Flawless execution, which isn't at all easy when you're juggling my mother and a wheelchair.
Management is buttoned up, and bills accurately. They do whatever they can to accommodate our needs and the odd idiosyncrasy. Although I live a distance away from my mother, I'm pretty hands-on, which the office helps me with. They keep me in the loop via email as to what is going on. The Managing Director will always take my phone call on a weekend.
All in all, we are really happy and glad we picked 'Right at Home' as our care agency.
Thank you for your lovely review. I'm delighted with the relationship we have built up to ensure that with a joined-up approach we are managing to give your mum the support she deserves. It is particularly gratifying that she loves the CareGivers - I do appreciate that it hasn't always been plain sailing with other providers, so it is reassuring that we are on the right track!
I love having Right at Home as my carers! They have helped me through my pregnancy and bringing up my daughter. Now they are helping me rehabilitate and get back to work! They are amazing, can’t recommend them highly enough!
It is been a privilege helping you through your rehabilitation and a joy assisting your young family. CareGivers definitely love coming to do their calls, knowing they can get a little cuddle off your daughter too!
Wholeheartedly recommend.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always a pleasure to see your mum. She brightens up everyone's day!
My husband and I are extremely happy with the friendly and professional services provided by Right At Home. The carers really do care and we feel they tailor their help to the needs of us as individuals. Their flexibility and responsiveness help us to lead our lives the way we want to. The carers are well supported by the management and office team, and communications with us as clients are very good. We would recommend Right At Home in every way.
Thank you, Elfriede. We are delighted to hear that you feel our services have been so beneficial. It's also fantastic to see you using the computer now! I'm so glad we were able to get that set up for you.
Punctual, very caring. Efficient. Good attention and pleasant staff.
Thank you very much for your kind words in your review. It was a pleasure to help you and I am very glad that you no longer require our services.
Very impressed with the services rendered. The carers not only cared for my wife but obviously cared about my wife. They were a pleasure to welcome into our home.
It was our privilege to care for your wife Richard. We wish you all the very best for the future.
There is nothing that this company and their manager have not been able to satisfy.
What is great is how flexible they have been when my parent's circumstances changed, health-wise, occasionally.
My parents were very shy, suspicious of any carer visiting and felt the daily intrusion would annoy them.
Typically the family had identified that they needed help and they could not see that.
The carers have fully won my parents trust and they look forward to having somebody else to talk to.
They have even gained the trust enough where the carer shaves my father as he likes to keep neat.
Thank you for your kind words. The CareGivers always look forward to visiting your parents and building relationships with them, and we look forward to the opportunity of continuing to do so for a long time to come.
The care provided was excellent and carried out in a kind and positive way.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. We appreciate the feedback.
The Caregivers arrive punctually with a cheerful greeting. We are treated with dignity and respect at all times. My husband enjoys their visits and the conversations they have together. All tasks are performed cheerfully and done to completion which engenders confidence. Since we have had Right at Home carers we feel more relaxed.
Thank you for the feedback that we have been able to support you both positively. Our next mission is to help get your husband playing his ukulele!
The care my Dad received from Right at Home was excellent. I felt very confident that he was looked after with great care, compassion and respect. Although he was a quiet man he loved to see people and to have a chat with them. One evening when he wasn't feeling so well, they asked if he wanted them to call me, he said yes and one of the carers stayed with him until I arrived. This was beyond the time when they should have finished work. Having found a good care agency meant that in the last months of my Dad's life, we as a family could step back from his day to day needs and spend more time just being with him.
It was our pleasure and privilege to support your father towards the end of his life, and on the occasions I met him it was a delight to hear him talking with pride about his lovely, large family. Thank you, Wendy, for your appreciative words - it is gratifying to hear we made a difference for your family during a difficult time.

Andy joins the Right at Home network after a long career in the leisure industry. Initially working as a qualified golf professional, his career branched into management, latterly managing large proprietary golf and fitness resorts.
In early 2016, however, Andy decided it was time to channel his abilities into a business of his own, and of which he could be proud of. Andy’s parents were owners of two premier residential care homes in Burgess Hill, and so, having grown up in and around the environment, it was a natural choice to follow a similar path.
Andy explains, “I have long looked to use my skills and knowledge in developing my own business, and with years in customer service, management and public relations roles, the care industry seemed the perfect fit for me to contribute positively back to the local community, which has served me so well for the past forty years.”
“Having seen first-hand the richness that quality care can bring to the lives of the elderly, I feel passionately that I too can follow in my parents’ footsteps, and make a difference to those deserving of our support and understanding.”
“I am determined that Right at Home will offer the best home care service in the Mid Sussex area. We are building a team consisting of the best CareGivers, providing them with the right support, training and career development, within a fantastic working environment. This in turn ensures that our clients come to receive the highest standard of ‘person centred’ care – how they want it and when they need it.”
Andy still lives in Burgess Hill, along with his wife, two children and their dog. He still loves the occasional game of golf, plays football, is a keen supporter of Burgess Hill Cricket Club, and when time allows, likes to do crosswords, tend to his beloved garden and try to master the ukulele!
Lou has always wanted to work in care and, since leaving school, has gained hands-on experience within a number of NHS settings, care homes, hospices and individual private home care.
She has been working for Right at Home since 2018. Starting as a CareGiver, she always looked forward to the challenge of getting to know new clients, their families and what works best to ensure they are well cared for and feel safe within their home environment. Although her role has changed over the years, her passion for the role hasn't.
She was very pleased to be nominated for the RAH CareGiver of the Year 2021 and very proud to have won against stiff competition from all over the country.
In early 2022 Lou completed a level 4 Diploma in Adult Care and then became the Registered Manager of Right at Home Mid Sussex, a role that she is incredibly excited about.
Throughout the earlier part of my working life, I held a variety of roles in financial reconciliation and administration, acquiring a number of business and book-keeping qualifications along the way. Fifteen years ago, I left day-to-day employment so that I could focus on bringing up our two young children.
I later became a Teaching Assistant at the children’s primary school, enjoying a role where I really felt as if I was able to make a difference, and which I continued until this year when we decided to set up the business.
I am really looking forward to supporting Andy in developing the Right At Home Mid Sussex business, and learning more about the care industry, which is something I’ve never had involvement in before. I will soon be undergoing the same stringent training programme as our other CareGivers, so that I too will be able to deliver care in the homes of those that need us.
